Luyeon

Jiyeon dad past away when she was four and her mom abandons her when she was six so she lives with her grandmother. On the other hand Luhan is rich, popular, caring and loving high school student. When Jiyeon transfer to Luhan's school everyone hate except IU because she's a nerd. One day one of the Queenka, Suzy, was messing with Jiyeon and took her glasses and hides it in the garden bench. When Jiyeon went there to get her glasses she accidently bump into Luhan. There Luhan gave her the glasses. Then they became friend Suzy was watching everything and got mad at Jiyeon. As Luhan and Jiyeon got closer and closer they fall in love. On the other hand Suzy got and evil plan. She kidnaps Jiyeon and abuses her there and threatened her to stay away from Luhan. The next day Jiyeon still come to school. Then Luhan got mad at Suzy and YOU CAN FINISH!!!!!

“Halmoni~ I’m home!”

The old woman walked out from the kitchen with a bright grin on her face. “My granddaughter is back!”

Jiyeon giggled as she gave the old woman a tight hug, “Halmoni~ Did you miss me?!”

“Of course! Do you even have to ask?”

The younger girl laughed merrily before walking into the house with her grandmother. “What’s for dinner today?!”

“My granddaughter’s favourite.”

“AHHHHHH~ OXBONE SOUP?!”

“Yes!”

Jiyeon gave her grandmother another tight hug before running to the dining table. They got started with the dinner at once, and finally settled down on the couch after they finished it.

“AH~ I swear your oxbone soup is the best in the world, halmoni!”

“Really?”

“YES!”

“Should I open a restaurant then?”

“Of course! When I earn enough next time, I’ll open a restaurant for you!”

“No thanks.”

“WHY?!”

“I don’t want to work when I’m old.”

“You’re already old now~” Jiyeon smiled sweetly while showing her some eye smiles.

“What did you say?!”

“I said you’re still as pretty as ever!”

Grandmother laughed at her cute antics before ruffling her hair playfully. They were just playful to each other.

But of course, they took care of each other a lot.

Her dad passed away when she was only four. It was a young age, of course. And grandmother took her in when her mother left her all alone.

Yes, her biological mother left her alone in the house for days.

If it wasn’t for her grandmother who visited her during the weekends, Jiyeon would be dead in her old house.

Grandmother took Jiyeon over to her apartment after selling her son’s apartment, and used the money to get Jiyeon to schools.

She managed to survive with that money too – using it for their daily expenses.

Yes, it wasn’t a small amount.

Their old apartment was huge and very accessible. The station was just next to it. Thanks to its location, it was really a good sell.

They still have a little savings left though.

But even so, Jiyeon would go to work. She had a part-time job all along. She just wanted to earn more so they have enough for the future.

Grandmother was simply glad she has a sensible granddaughter.

“How’s school today, Jiyeon? I’m sorry though.”

“What for?”

“You have to transfer school because we moved to another city.”

“It’s fine, halmoni! I don’t have anyone back in Busan too. I like here, Daegu, more!”

“Really?”

“Yes!”

Grandmother her head gently, smiling at her beautiful granddaughter, “How’s your school today then? It’s your second day right?”

Jiyeon pulled her sleeves lower as she sent a smile to her grandmother, “It’s perfect!”

“Really?”

“Yup! Everyone loves me! I’ve gained a new friend too! Her name is Jieun but she wants people to call her IU!”

“IU? That’s a weird nickname.”

“But she’s cute! I’m sure you will love her, halmoni~”

“Bring her home sometimes then!”

“I will!”

“And what else? Did you learn something new?”

“Not yet, halmoni~ They taught things which I had learnt back in Busan though.”

“Ah~ It’s a bit slower here huh?”

“But it’s fine! It means I can slack a little while, right?”

Grandmother poked her cheek playfully instead. “But don’t slack too much, my girl.”

“Don’t worry, halmoni! I won’t! You know I’m a hardworking girl too~”

“Yes, my granddaughter is the best.”

“Assa! Bingo! You got it right now~”

They shared another round of sweet laughter, before Jiyeon excused herself to wash up.

She faced the mirror and sighed sadly when she saw the bruise on her shoulders. It was the second day only, yes, and she was already the target of the bullies in school.

Well, she only blamed herself for being not fashionable and not into trend.

“Bye, halmoni~ I’m going now!”

“Eo~ Do you have work today?!”

“Yup! So I’ll be late tonight! You can sleep first, halmoni!”

“Remember to lock the door after you come in!”

“Yes, I will!” Jiyeon waved happily and closed the door, finally.

She let out a huge sigh and walked ahead to school, preparing herself for another war against her.

She knew she would be the target again.

Indeed, she was right.

“HA! Look who’s here?!” Fei cooed with her arms crossed. She was one of the Queenkas in school and everyone worshipped her alright.

“The nerd!” Min clapped her hands happily, and in Jiyeon’s mind, she looked identical to those seals in the sea.

She tried hard not to laugh, and walked ahead, ignoring them.

But too bad, she just had to be pulled back by her bag.

Jia shoved her against the lockers along the corridor and smirked in victory. “Shouldn’t you greet us before going ahead? Huh, nerd?!”

Jiyeon bit her lips and lowered her head, not daring to speak.

And she jumped in surprise when Fei slammed her fist on the locker by her head, “YAH! JIA IS TALKING TO YOU!”

“E-Erm… Erm… Hello…”

“HELLO WHO?”

“Hello… Jia…”

“AND WHO ELSE?!”

“Hi Fei… Min… and Suzy…”

Suzy walked up to her, with the other three girls moving back automatically. Suzy have the say in everything.

It just turned out like that.

“Who said you can greet me?”

Jiyeon gulped hardly as she lowered her head again.

“Jia wanted you to greet her, but I don’t want my name to be coming out from your filthy mouth.” Suzy cupped her cheeks using one hand, and squeezed it hard.

Jiyeon was still avoiding her eyes though.

“Look at me.”

She didn’t move an inch.

“I SAID LOOK AT ME!”

And then she finally did.

“WHY ARE YOU GLARING AT ME? I SAID LOOK! NOT GLARE!” Suzy shoved her head against the locker, and she swore she felt a hard sting on it.

The bell rang right then.

Jiyeon felt relief rushing through her body when the girls walked away with a satisfied smirk on their faces.

Jiyeon held onto the lockers and tried composing herself, trying to get rid of the dizziness in her mind.

“I’m sorry, Jiyeon-ah.”

Jiyeon smiled at once when she knew who that was. “I’m fine, Jieunie~”

“I saw but I can’t do a thing…”

Jiyeon finally opened her eyes and IU was just right in front of her. “I’m really fine, Jieunie. You can’t do a thing too, I know. They won’t let you go if you cut in too. Don’t worry. I don’t want you to do anything too.”

“Jiyeonie…”

“I’m really good.” Jiyeon smiled brightly, “If you want to help… Could you get me to our class then?”

IU wrapped her arm around her waist immediately.

Together, they headed back to their classroom for their first lesson.

“Jiyeonie…”

“Hmm?”

“I-”

“Don’t apologize again.”

IU turned quiet at once which made Jiyeon smiled, again. “Come on, Jieunie! It’s really cool! I’m good! Let’s forget about it! They will just forget about me after a period of time!”

“But-”

IU stopped when she saw the piercing stare from Jiyeon. She finally let out a smile and hugged the latter tightly.

“I’m glad I have you as my friend, Jiyeonie.”

“I’m glad I have you as my friend too, Jieunie.”

They finally laughed, in bliss.

When the lessons were over, Jiyeon headed to the washroom before going for lunch. But she just had to meet the Queenkas inside again.
