Plot: Jiyeon was a NBSB (No boyfriend since birth) young lady, because she was scared to get pregnant. (Boys will be boys) was her saying. She had a huge crush on Myungsoo when she's still freshmen. She got ranking because of him, she study hard because Myungsoo belongs to the highest section. On her Sophomore Year, Myungsoo transferred to another school. She still hopes to see him again. Her 4 friends keep nagging her to move on and get a boyfriend already. She got many suitors but all got rejected because of her fear. On her Junior Year, Myungsoo came back. He was an ultimate player. He was flirting with girls. Jiyeon was sad because of his attitude. She never made a move on him even when she's still a freshman. One day Myungsoo courted her because of a bet. Jiyeon was chosen to be the girl because she was VERY HARD TO GET. Myungsoo get rejected by her because of her fear.

“Jiyeon-yang, could you please accept my heart?” A guy greeted her politely and held a stick of rose in his hand.

Jiyeon smiled awkwardly when she received a confession from a senior of hers. He was only in his junior level. She took the flower but only to pass it back to him, “Senior, I’m sorry I have to reject you. I’m not prepared to be in a relationship now. Sorry.” She bowed and left the scene with her senior staring at her back-view in awe.

“She’s definitely the perfect woman to date!”

“She rejected him so politely so as not to hurt his heart!”

“She’s awesome!”

“I want to be the next one then! I don’t mind just touching her hands!”

Whispers could be heard along the hallway as Jiyeon walked back to her classroom. She heard everyone of it and couldn’t help but sigh at their reaction.

*I’m just a girl who’s not interested in dating. So don’t waste your time, seniors…*

She turned into her classroom and was attacked by her 4 best friends in the world. “JIYEONIE!” They tackled her down onto the floor, literally.

Jiyeon shrieked but managed to let out a giggle when she saw them on top of her. “We’re in school, girls!”

The 4 girls stood up one by one and pulled her up to her feet, “Well~ We missed you, that’s why~” One of them who was named Jimin replied with her dreamy grin again.

The other 3 walked back to their seats with Jimin and Jiyeon tagging behind. “Now mind telling me what did you guys did over the weekend?”

Jimin giggled and drew her chair nearer to Jiyeon. Well, they’re seatmates. “Hmmm~ We were discussing about your blind date!”

“What?!” Jiyeon shrieked loud enough for the other 3 to turn around.

“Are you telling her about the date, minmin-ah?”

Jimin giggled while nodding her head, “Yup! And that’s her reaction!”

“Yeonie! You have to get a boyfriend soon! Like them! The twins got themselves a boy already!” Jiyoung chirped and pointed to the two girls next to her.

“That’s right, just like them~” Jimin cheered along with Jiyoung while looking at the twins who were blushing.

“Heejin and Heeyoung are attached?!” Jiyeon squealed, “Congrats!”

“Thanks~” The twins giggled with their red faces. “So now, we need you to get out of your stupid rule and join the dating clique.” Heeyoung pretended to draw a line between them, with Jimin and Jiyoung on the other side.

The duo gasped and beat the twins jokingly, “The main point is to get her to date! Stop bringing us into this topic!”

“Alright alright~” The twins laughed and looked back to Jiyeon. “So? Let’s go to a date! Maybe you will be able to let go of your rule!”

“Well, you guys know why I climbed so hard to get to this class, don’t you? I don’t want to go on dates if it’s not him…” Jiyeon mumbled as she sighed deeply.

“Of course we know! For that smartass Kim Myungsoo!” Jimin shouted in understanding but only to be cupped on by Jiyeon the next moment.

“Shhhhh!”

Jimin pushed her hand off and looked into her eyes deeply, “Well, if you want to even date him, you have to get rid of your rule first! It’s a nonsense rule! Who keep that rule nowadays? Everyone simply just go out on dates and have fun. You won’t be taken advantage of if you’re careful! Not all boys are like that~”

Jiyeon sighed and looked down sadly, “I’m not sure…”

The 4 girls looked at her with high hopes but only to get disappointment in return.

“Aish! I’m happy just seeing him from afar. That’s it! I’m still young and I won’t step near guys! And I won’t go to dates so cancel them.”

The 4 girls sighed in dejection and looked to the front when their teacher came in for lesson. Right behind him was Kim Myungsoo, the smartest student in their level. He came to school right on time for lesson every single day.

Jiyeon saw him one day inside the train and that was the day she felt her heart beat faster when she saw him.

It was a crowded morning but she had no other choices but to take the train to school since it’s the only transport from her house since she’s late. Because it was too crowded, she almost lost her foot when the door opened at the next station and almost dropped into the gap in between concrete and the train.

Thank god a guy pulled her back in time. “Are you alright?”

Jiyeon then, was too blinded by him. “Y-Yeah…”

“That’s good.” He gave her a huge warm smile and went back to do his own stuff. Jiyeon stared at him the whole ride and caught his nametag with his name on it. *Kim Myungsoo… Perfect.*

She found out he was in the smarter class, and she was determined to fight her way up to his class.

And she did!

She got up to his class after they got back their mid-year results and she then got to know the 4 girls which became her best friends.

It had been a few weeks ever since she joined the class and she always had been looking at Myungsoo from afar.

Her 4 girls had been pushing her to confess but she didn’t want to. She declared her rule to them which they found it ridiculous. But she said she’s satisfied just by looking at him from afar. Her 4 friends tried to find dates for her to ‘cure’ her weird rule but she rejected all of them.

“If it’s not him, then no dates.”

That’s her statement to proof her undying crush love for Kim Myungsoo, but she just didn’t have to courage to confess.

And with that same thought, she managed to live well through the next half of her freshman year. Her friends told her to confess every single day but she was just as stubborn as the ox.

No means no.

The long vacation finally arrived, and the 4 girls, with Jiyeon, hang out together almost every day. They went to the malls, to the beach, and even went for a mini vacation to a resort out of town.

Well, they had a blast in their life during that long vacation.

Soon, the vacation was over and school will be starting.

But unknown to Jiyeon, her crush would be gone when she returned to school. She prepared her lunchbox and an extra one filled with love before heading to school.

Well, they made a bet during the vacation and she lost. Their bet was for her to confess during the first day of school.

And there she was, with the lunchboxes in her bag.

She made up her mind to confess and take it step by step. If he rejected her then so be it. She felt that it’s time for her to open up to guys too.

She arrived at school and joined her 4 girls in class quickly and waited with her nervous heart for her love to appear.

“Did you prepare the lunchbox?”

Jiyeon nodded her head timidly which received giggles from the girls.

However, even until the teacher walked in, he did not appear at all.

The 4 girls frowned and shot confusing looks to each other but found no answers.

“Class.” The teacher called for their attention and he did, “Alright. Our smart student, Kim Myungsoo, has transferred out of the school during this vacation. He won’t be here with us now.”

That hit Jiyeon hard. Just when she was about to confess, he disappeared.

Was fate playing around with her?

The 4 girls looked at her with their sad eyes, pitying the poor girl who lost her love.

The lesson continued but Jiyeon’s mind was elsewhere.

Right when lunchtime arrived, the 4 girls crowded around her quickly. “Yeonie-ah… Don’t be sad. Maybe you two are not meant to be.” Jiyoung said honestly but was being shoved by Jimin. The latter sent her some glares and Jiyoung cupped her own stupid mouth afterwards.

“Erm… I mean…”

“What she meant was you have to eat now.” Jimin beamed, “don’t be sad. Time will heal! Let’s eat now, shall we?” Jimin opened her own lunchbox and eyed the others to do the same.

Jiyeon smiled at her caring friends and took out her lunchbox too.

And that’s when she saw the other lunchbox which was meant for him. She sighed and placed it in the middle of the table, “Let’s share it then.”

The 4 girls were reluctant as they eyed each other.

“Go on. I didn’t put poison in it.” She giggled and her 4 friends did as told. They ate the food from the lunchbox in the middle and continued their small chats as usual.

The 4 of them could see the pain in her eyes but remained quiet, so as not to provoke her further. Maybe, just maybe, time really will heal her.

However, apparently not. It doesn’t appear to seem so.

It had been about half a year since he transferred out of school and Jiyeon was always caught staring into his seat by Jimin, secretly.

Jimin would tell the other 3 and they could only see her in despair.

“Yeonie-ah~” Jiyoung chirped during lunch one day, “I heard there’s a senior who has eyed you for a while! Why don’t you accept him?”

Jimin nodded her head and joined in, “That’s right! I think you can go out with a guy and try! Maybe you will find your love there!”

Jiyeon smiled weakly as an appreciation for them to be so caring. “I’m okay, girls. Don’t worry about me, really. I’ve thought about it. I sincerely believed that guys are all the same. They would hurt you and leave you alone so I won’t take any dates, alright?”

“But-” Jimin was about to reply but stopped when Heejin placed her palm on her lap.

“Alright then! Let’s eat now shall we?!” Jimin cheered and opened her lunchbox again.

Jiyeon smiled and opened hers too, *Thanks, girls. I know you girls care for me. I’m alright… I hope.*

Just like that, her sophomore year ended.

It’s time for long vacation again! This time round, the 4 girls raided her house and cheered her up throughout the whole vacation. She wouldn’t mind, of course.

She would love companion since her parents were away for business, since forever.

“Shall we head over to the beach this weekend?! It’s the last weekend before school starts!” Heeyoung chirped while rolling around on Jiyeon’s bed.

“Shall we?” Her twin sister chirped alongside her, agreeing with her idea.

And soon, the 4 pairs of eyes were on Jiyeon. “Alright!”

They cheered together and agreed to meet at the train station the next day with their packed luggage.

The next day finally arrived and Jiyeon was the first to reach. She went into the platform and waited for them in there.

She looked at the train which just passed by in front of her and sighed. *There’s where I met you.*

“YEONIE~!”

Jiyeon snapped out from her thoughts and looked to her left.

There they were, her 4 girls. She beamed and waved them over, “Let’s go, come on!”

The 4 girls ran over to her side with their bags on their hands. They entered the train with light steps and finally had a great weekend over at the beach together.
