I like the title but I’m not too sure if it really reflects off what you wrote— well from what I read to the recent update that is.

Poster & Background & Trailer(5/10)

The poster & background were pretty but I don’t know, I just do not feel it connecting to the fanfic in any way.  The trailer was okay— I didn’t feel an excitement while watching it though. Trailers usually maintain the source to what your fanfic is about and it’s supposed to get your readers hyped up for what’s to come but the trailer made just didn’t really… make me feel all that excited about the fanfic.

Description & Foreword(6/10)

The description looks like a big blob full of too many things being written at the same time. First and foremost, I suggest you put your summary as the description and leave it there. The foreword should have contained what we see first in the description because it sounds more like an excerpt to me than a description. Your trailer should be under the foreword then last would be your author’s note. Organization is key!

Plot(5/10)

The plot sounds pretty interesting but it’s also very generic— a girl whose parents decide to arrange for her to marry a guy because her parents like the guy, I guess. But I will have to admit that I like the whole Nichkhun already being in the picture beforehand and he’s an ex of hers. Though I was expecting Nichkhun to be a bit more controlling and try to win Jin Ae but I guess that isn’t happening.

Also, there’s something about your side-characters that bother me just a bit— I mean I understand why Dongho is being put into the story but I don’t quite understand Daejun’s part. He’s a friend of Jin Ae’s but I don’t understand their background relationship.

Originality(8/10)

Again, it’s a generic fanfic/plot but I do find it to have some originality.

Flow(4/5)

The flow was okay—the beginning was a bit slow on parts and then the ending started to fasten things up.

Grammar/Punctuation/Spelling/Vocabulary(25/30)

The grammar, spelling and vocabulary were well used in this story—I just think you shouldn’t overuse the caps. What do I mean exactly? Well, I think it was in chapter three when we meet Dongho and he flips because Jin Ae met Nichkhun— you pretty much went crazy and DIDTHISANDDIDTHATANDTHISBECAUSEIDONTKNOW. That doesn’t look good and it threw me off when reading.

Writing Style(6/10)

The writing style was pretty moderate— I just don’t like the Point of View’s thing you have going on. There is no need for you to put 2-3 point of views in one chapter rather, I would suggest it that you just write this story in 3^rd person or stick to just one person— or maybe write one chapter in one person’s point of view then the next chapter will contain the other person’s point of view.

Also, towards the last couple of chapters, I couldn’t help but notice you putting the two main character’s thoughts in a different color. First off, why? I don’t find a need for you to do that because you could have just written the thought in italics and then write ‘thought Jin Ae.’ Second, the whole making it in different color doesn’t really help much— at least for me it doesn’t.

Lastly, please tell me you did not write (A/N: jinja means really) in your chapters or any other ones to inform the reader what the Korean word means. I’m pretty sure we all understand what those words means since 99.9% of the users using this site are more prone to using Korean words than any other words. It got me annoyed every time I saw the author’s note which by the way should never be seen in the chapter only at the end!

Overall Enjoyment(5/10)

The overall enjoyment was half and half— I mean this was definitely a pretty interesting fanfic but I don’t think I would come back to read it. One reason would be that I don’t really know who Minwoo is nor do I know who Daejun is. Judging your tags, they’re probably from Boyfriend— a group I’m not familiar with so I couldn’t help but not enjoy this story but I’m not going to take points off because of that.

The other reason would be how I graded the story with the rubric represented above. Good luck with your story!
