The cafeteria was crowded as students hurried for their favorite lunch before it was gone forever. Nevertheless, this face you couldn’t ignore. The face, and the body of the boy whom everyone drooled for. 

With dreamy eyes, you couldn’t stop staring at him. Messy long curly locks that covered his does beautiful eyes and reached his ears from the sides. A sharp jawline that could bleed anyone who dares to touch it. You sighed at how immensely handsome, Jeon Jungkook, the leader of the taekwondo team, was.

“Your eyes will fall off.” Your best friend, Taehyung said as his index finger turned your face to him. “Look here! I am handsome too.”

“Back off.” You frowned, pushing him slightly as you turned to look back at Jungkook. To your disappointment, Jungkook took his food tray and left his seat. Your head snapped towards Taehyung’s direction, glaring at him. “See what you have done. He is leaving.”

“So what?” He shrugged, shaking his head. “Just continue your food and let’s go we have a lecture.”

“Don’t you find him, like extremely, extraordinarily handsome. Like .... like he is...”

“Like he came out of a movie. Yes, he is”

“Yes.” You answered dreamily until you realized later what he had said. “What? No! Eww!”

Taehyung laughed enjoying your reaction. You hit his arm hard before correcting him “As if he came out of Manga or an Anime.” You exclaimed.

“Stop asking the obvious then.” Shaking his head, Taehyung returned to his food.

“I think I am going to confess my love for him.” You said, determinedly.

“Your what?” Taehyung coughed as he spat some of his food on the table.

“Eww, Tae, seriously.”

“No, you listen seriously.” He looked at you, his eyes hard. “How can you be in love with him? You saw him like what? Two days ago? For how many? Twice? And you call it already love?”

Your frown deepened as you glared at Taehyung. “Don’t you dare to make fun of what I feel.”

“You are the one who is unreasonable here. Look at you, Y/N!? I can tell you aren’t his type.”

That hurt so much.

You knew you weren’t attractive. You knew you look like a nerd with glasses, messy bun, long pants, and sweatshirts. You look like someone who couldn’t dress, couldn’t take care of themselves, no makeup, no high heels, nothing attractive at all. You already knew it and you didn’t need Taehyung to just spit it out to your face.

A hot tear rolled down your cheek as you wiped it off quickly and left right away.

“Y/N, come back here, you didn’t eat,” Taehyung called after you but just ignored him and sprinted out of the cafeteria.

You had been friend with Taehyung for almost your whole life. He could be harsh sometimes but you know well that’s it because he cared about you. However, this time you just couldn’t accept it. You were so mad at him!

Stupid Taehyung! Stupid Taehyung!

You were drowned onto your thoughts that you didn’t notice the person you crashed into. The next second, you were already on the floor, falling hard on your and you cried out in pain.

“Oh my god! Are you alright?”

When you looked up, your mouth formed an O shape of surprise. “Y-yes” you stuttered as you tried to stand up by yourself. However, he was fast enough to give you his hand and help you up.

“Are you sure you are alright?” He asked again, looking at you worriedly.

“Yeah, thank you, sir.” You said with a small smile. “I am sorry.”

“I will see you in the class then.” He smiled back before walking off.

You almost screamed out of embarrassment, wishing a car would have crashed into you instead of him. Your heart pounded so hard as you watched the Teacher assistant walking off.

Did he just smile at you? Did he just say see you in class? Oh man, this was so bad.

Kim Junmyeon, most likely known as the devil himself. He was so well known for giving hard exams and quizzes as well as giving students many assignments and his grading were always with a minus sign. You were unlucky enough to register with his class, and just now, you crashed into him and he recognized you. May heaven saves you from him. A shudder ran through your arms as you walked to the class, following him.

Somehow, you hoped you can skip the class but now that he saw you! It was hard. You could give him the chance to focus on you so much!

Your eyes fell on Jungkook who was standing with some girls who were the total opposite of you. Your heart fell and become heavier. Taehyung was right. Jungkook wouldn’t even look at a girl like you.

“What were you even thinking?” You murmured to yourself as you entered your class. Luckily, Junmyeon wasn’t here already.

Taehyung was already there. With a frown, you took the seat behind him instead of your usual seat that was beside him.

Turning around, Taehyung gave you the look. The look that always meant are you a child? “Seriously?”

“Yes, seriously.” You sighed, looking away.

“Excuse me that’s my seat.” One of the girls who were talking to Jungkook said, waiting for you to get out of her seat. You couldn’t help but observe her. She was taller than you. Her hair reached her shoulders in a nice cut that made her look like one of these Instagram models, with her perfect skin and makeup she was so beautiful that you felt like a frog next to her.

“You can sit next to me beautiful.” Taehyung offered with a grin.

“I am not sitting next to a loser.” She grumbled as she shushed you out of the chair.

You couldn’t help but laugh when you sat next to Taehyung. Even though the girl was too cruel, too rude, you felt like she had taken revenge on Taehyung with her comment.

Embarrassed, Taehyung’s face sunk in his hands. “Stop laughing.”

“Deserves you right.” You chuckled, poking his side. “Now, we know why we are both single.”

“Oh god, go away.”

Suddenly, you felt a dark aura hovering over you. Looking up, you pressed your lips together and straightened your back. You were laughing too hard to notice the TA was already in the room and he wasn’t pleased by the chaos you and Taehyung were causing.

“You are done?” His voice was as cold as ice, your whole body shuddered.

“Sorry, sir.” Both you and Taehyung said at the same time. When Junmyeon returned to back to the front of the class, you glared at Taehyung who shrugged.

“So, today is going to be a fun day.” Junmyeon smiled, opening his hands wide as if he was filming the titanic. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. He thought he was funny when he does this. Some students even force a burst of laughter for grades, but you just couldn’t. “Guess what day is it?”  

When no one answered, Junmyeon looked at you, at which you looked away almost immediately.

“I made eye contact with him, oh god.” You murmured to yourself.

“It’s the death call.” Taehyung murmured back to you.

“Shut up.”

“Y/N, can you guess what day is it?” Junmyeon asked, with a smirk and your eyes widened. He memorized your name, too?!  

Why me? You thought to wish you could run away now. Clearing your throat, you pressed your lips together, before opening them again. “Is it the quiz grade reveal? Or another pop-quiz?” You looked at him, nervously.

By the time, Junmyeon’s smile widened, you knew. You knew how this course going to be like. “Exactly, good job.” He said as he looked away from you and shifted his eyes among the other kids who were booing. “Let’s calm down everyone. The more quizzes you take the more benefit you gain.”

“Benefit my .” Taehyung murmured underneath his breath and you couldn’t help but smile at his comment.

“I hope some of you will not cry from the previous quiz grade,” Junmyeon said and when you looked at him, your heart skipped a beat. He was looking at you. What? “we will be back to that after the lecture. Now let’s talk about…”

And you just lost him there. You couldn’t stop but thinking about what possibly your grade could be. You knew very well that you did extremely good at the previous quiz. Why did he look at you? You felt like your brain was on fire already.

By the end of the class, Junmyeon started to spread the previous quiz paper. You bit down on your nails as your legs were shaking too much. You could sense him as he came closer and dropped your paper in front of you.
