“Y/N”

You turned and looked at him, with a stone face. You tried as much as you can not to show anymore emotions to him. He didn’t deserve to see them.

He was smiling at you as if nothing happened at all. As if he didn’t break anything that you thought you had, as if it was normal to say hi again after what happened and what he said.

You tried, as hard as you could, to smile.

“Hmm? What’s wrong, John?” you smiled as bright as you could manage to and he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

“Why are you still here? You should have gone home by now. Are you that bold? Do you really not care if you see me again? Do I really mean nothing to you?” John asked and you really wanted to slap him in the face, right there.

“What do you want? You ended everything last night! You did, not me!” You blurted, taking a deep breath and his expression fell down but said nothing. “Do you have anything else to say aside from insulting me? Because I want to leave.” You turned to leave, but he stopped you by grabbing your elbow and made you turn back to face him.

“I’m sorry.”

A heartbeat dropped and your expression hardened. What kind of joke is it? You wondered, feeling your heart throbbing with extra adrenaline and anger. “What?”

“I really need to talk to you and solve this up. Can we?” He asked and his eyes filled with regret and pain. Something that wasn’t there when he broke up with you the other day. Something that wasn’t there seconds ago when he’d just insulted you. “I said things that I really don’t mean–”

“You broke up with me!” You said with gritted teeth and looked at him with angry eyes. What you felt now was your blood boiling inside of you, and you were sure that your face was red with anger. He wasn’t going to be like this.

“I know. I’m sorry. I really think you don’t love me, I thought you were going to confess but you didn’t. Please, let’s talk it out. I never meant to lose you. I don’t care if you didn’t like me, but I like you.”

You lost me and it’s too late. You thought, glaring at him. “I don’t have time for this.” You spat, looking at the beach direction. Taehyung was waiting for you. And you couldn’t make him wait for you any longer.

Maybe you should also take your battery back because avoiding your ex-boyfriend seemed to be impossible.

“Then, tonight. At 7, I will be waiting for you at the restaurant.” He said and you weren’t sure.

Did you want this? To make up with him or even to talk about what happened. You felt there was no need to talk. Everything was clear enough. He broke up with you, thinking of you as some easy girl and somehow you got over him.  

“Please.” He pleaded, looking at you as if his life was depending on it.

“Not the restaurant. Anywhere else but not that.” You didn’t want Taehyung to witness your other fight with your ex. He didn’t seem to like him. And it would be awkward if Taehyung got involved when he had nothing to do with this.

“At the beach. I will wait for you.”

“Okay. That’s awesome. I will be there in time” John smiled at you and nodded. His voice was filled with hope which you felt bad for hearing it. You were going to talk, but not returning back again to him. As he walked away. You turned and walked to the beach.

Your heart was beating in your chest with worried and anxiety. You weren’t sure if what you were doing was the right thing or not. John was a good man, if he wasn’t you wouldn’t think that your relationship would take another level. That was why you came here with him in the first place. You thought he was the one. Maybe that’s why you were hurt this time. Or was it your pride that was hurt and not your heart?

You, actually, liked him, found him smart and intelligent, but the way he broke up with you made a great hole in your chest. Made you rethink about your feelings and thinking. Would you really be able to make up with him? You didn’t like the idea that you were used all this time because he just wanted to know why the other broke up with you. He was a jerk.

When you felt the sand get into your sandal, you knew that you reached the beach and you threw away every thought of your ex and started to search for Taehyung.

He should be somewhere near…

You gasped and jumped forward when you felt water splashing on your back wetting your shirt from the back. You were about to yell at whoever was playing with water gun splashing water at anyone, but the words stuck in your throat when you heard his familiar laughter.      

You turned and looked up at him and he was laughing so hard that his eyes were barely open. Now that he was under sunlight, he looked different from the other night. He looked clearer and more handsome. He was so breathtaking, his brown locked was smooth and soft over his forehead and his collar bone…

He was wearing a black baggy shorts and over it an oversized sleeveless white T-shirt that was lessening over his shoulder that his collar bone and some soft skin of the chest were shown. You in a breath, feeling your face getting warmer from how beautiful he looked. His style gave him a boyish look, especially his smile.

“Hey, aren’t you laughing too much?” You whined, feeling yourself smiling. You felt your back with your hand and groaned at him as if you were annoyed, but the playfulness never left your tone. “Look, what you have done?”

“Your fault. You are late.” He grinned at you with his beautiful smile. He reached out another water gun for you. “Here, yours.”

You took the gun not sure what you were going to do when out of nowhere another two guys jumped and started to splash water on Taehyung and you. To your surprise, Taehyung sheltered you with his body, pushing you away from the water.

You didn’t know the boys at all, but they seemed to be close to Taehyung and somehow you joined their game.

The boy who was wearing a red plain T-shirt was splashing water non-stopping as if he was shooting with gun from some action movies. He was a tall handsome guy with doe eyes. His hair was so dark, and splitting to the side. He had the prince like look, with his shoulder board and back straight like some kind of models.

And the other who was wearing white T-shirt was more cautious with using his own gun. He had a cute face, small eyes and puffy rosy cheeks that made his eyes disappear when he smiled, however, he had that well-toned body which was shown from his exposed arm. It seemed like he spent a lot of time working himself out in the gym.

The both guys kept shooting water toward you and Taehyung kept sheltering you. His back was facing you and his arms spread to the sides, taking all the water to his chest. At the moment, you felt touched. You didn’t know what you should do. Suddenly you were in some kind of water fight with some Asian hot guys. You had a gun in your hands, but you didn’t know when you should start to fire back. But Taehyung still took care of you, knowing how surprised you must have been.

When the red shirt, boy’s water gun ran out of water, you saw a smirk over the side profile of Teahyung’s face. He half turned and looked at you. “At Counting of 3.” He said and you nodded.

“1… 2…” You noticed that he was waiting for the other guy’s gun to run out of water too. But before he could continue counting down till the end, you got carried away and seeking for revenge.

You target the red shirt guy since he seemed too much in the game and he somehow showed no mercy and no stopping shooting.

The guys started to run away when Taehyung shot the other guy. They ran as fast as they could, asking for another chance to live. When they disappeared, you stopped to catch your breath, feeling the air burning your lungs.

“What was that?” You asked, looking at Taehyung who looked at you with amusement. “Welcoming fight?”

“That should be my question. You suddenly started
