You opened your eyes, having bees buzzing in your head. Lifting yourself up, the pain shot in your head. You held it with both hands, looking around you, trying to figure out where you were.

Your last memory ended in front of your apartment, you called Yen and asked her to pick you up, and then there was this picture. What happened after that? How did you pass out? Where were you? You were over a bed. A girl’s bed. You knew because it had a pink cover and there was a huge stuffed bear lying on the ground next to the desk.

You knew this teddy bear, you bought it for Yenny on her birthday.

“You are awake?” Yen pecked her head, taking an angle. She seemed careful when opening the door as she stepped into the room. “How do you feel?”

“Not good.” You shook your head. You weren’t good at all. You head hurt too much and so did your heart. It was difficult to breathe whenever you remembered Naeun.

“I know. You should take some rest.” Yen was about to go out, but you caught her by her arm, stopping her.  

Shaking your head, you pulled her closer. “Don’t go. I don’t want to be alone.”

Yen sighed and sat beside you. Her hand reached up and smoothed a few strands away from your face. It was hard to think that you could lose her too. You didn’t want to even have it a thought.

“How did I….” You started slowly, trying to remember how you ended up at Yenny’s place. Yen was patient enough to let you finish your whole sentence. You liked that about her the most, that she understood what you wanted. “How did I end up here?”

Yen took a deep breath and held your hands in her own. It was the first time to see Yen so worried, not smiling and gloomy. She always kept a strong, calm image. She’d a confident smile and happy eyes. You were sorry that you were the reason why she wasn’t smiling at that moment.

“I found you in front of your apartment. You were lying flat over the ground.” Her eyes teared up a little. Her nose reddened. “I freaked out, Y/N. I thought something happened to you.”

“I’m sorry. I made you worry.”

Without warning, Yen slapped your arm, strong enough to wince in pain. “You stupid girl, you should have called me when you got out of the police station. I tried hard to stay there, but they wouldn’t let me.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You should be.”

Yen was angry. She wouldn’t even meet your eyes. Shrugging her arm, you said “I’m okay now, hmm?”

“If it’d been for Baekhyun, I don’t know what I would have done.” Yen sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.

Baekhyun. The name rang in your ears like a lightning shook. “Beakhyun?! He was there?”

“No, he arrived a few minutes later after I found you. I was trying to call an ambulance and he suddenly appeared and carried you to my car.” Yen explained. “I guess he wanted to see you. He even carried you to my room and left afterward. He kept checking on you. Is he still in love with you?”

Your chest tightening hearing what Baekhyun had done for you. What did Baekhyun want? He must have heard about Naeun. Your heart ached whenever you thought about her and Baekhyun. Those two caused you pain, no normal girl would bear and you didn’t want to lose them.

Now you lost Naeun.

And Baekhyun…. You didn’t even know what your relationship was with him anymore.

“Ah! Was there anything beside me, Yen?” You asked, remembering the photo. Chills ran through your veins remembering the X and O marks over your and your friends’ faces.  

“Your phone.”

“No, a photo.”

Yen grimaced and looked at the ceiling, probably recalling her memories of the place. After a few seconds, she shook her head. Her expression said that she couldn’t remember anything about any photo. “No. Why? Is it an important photo?”

“Are you sure Yenny? It was in my hand. That is the last thing I remember.”

“There was nothing in your hand, Y/N.”

“It can’t be.” You were sure that you saw it. A clear threat that you were next to be dead. Those red marks and Naeun and Sohee’s face. Without this picture how were you going to prove that you were in danger, too?

Hysterically, you started to look around you for your phone, but it wasn’t there. Not under the pillow, not over the night stand, not even on Yen’s desk. Turning to face Yen, you gave her a hard look. “Where is my phone?”

“Y/N, please, you need some rest.”

“My phone Yenny.” You screamed, frustrated. You wanted to call Yoongi, you had to tell him about the photo. The photo is proof of your innocence too.

Sighing, Yen took out the phone from her trousers’ pocket. You snatched it out of her hand, angrily. If only she wasn’t a person you trusted and loved, you would have left her house at the moment. Moreover, you had nowhere else to go.

“Don’t do that again.” You glared at her, before going through your contact.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m calling Yoongi, I have to tell him about the photo.”

“I said, there was no photo Y/N.” Yen’s voice started to rise too. She lost her cool and started getting frustrated by your behavior.  

You put the phone aside over the night stand and sighed. “There was a photo, okay. A picture that Me, Naeun and Sohee took back when we were high schoolers. There was a big X over their faces and an O over mine, telling me that I was next. Do you know what this mean, Yen?”

Yen crossed her arms over her chest. “What?”

You didn’t like her behavior, but you weren’t going to point it out. You gulped, looking away. “I will die soon too.”

“This is ridiculous.” Yen snorted.

“It’s not. I’m telling you, there was a photo, but it disappeared. You don’t believe me?” At that moment, you realized that Yen may not have believed you too. “You believe me Yen, right?”

Her hands dropped beside her and her shoulder relaxed. A wave of guilt hit her and she was speechless. Nodding, Yen stepped closer to you and her hand held one of your hands. “I believe you, Y/N, but Yoongi won’t. Yoongi won’t believe you and you know that.”

“He will.”

“Stop lying to yourself too. He won’t.”

You knew that he wouldn’t. But you wanted to believe that he would.

And you weren’t sure if Yen really did believe you.

You suddenly found yourself alone. No one was beside you. Not Yen. Not Yoongi. Not Baekhyun, or even Sohee and Naeun. All those who were once beside you and supported you, some weren’t there anymore and the other lost their trust.

Your knees weakened and you found yourself on the floor, crying. What should you do now?
