28th day in Seoul.

Life keeps you around sometimes. It scares you and beats you up, but there’s a day when you realize you’re not just a survivor, you’re a warrior, you’re tougher than anything it throws your way. You love someone, you open yourself up to suffering. That’s the sad truth. Maybe, they’ll break your heart, maybe you’ll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks. That’s the burden.

I’m sleep deprived, I swear! I woke up with my alarm snoozing non-stop. The truth is, we are not needed at the office till 3pm later but I forgot to change my alarm and now I’m wide awake and it’s just 6am. Yeah. 2 hours of sleep is not so human, I cannot even consider sleeping as sleeping because my eyes are just closed but my mind is wide awake. I’m tired in general, not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. What’s happening with my life now? Months ago, I’m still inside the comfort of my home with my two dogs, work is stressful but my heart is at peace and my mind knows which path to take. Now, here I am, living in a foreign country still with a heavy load of work but my heart is in-love but full of humps and bumps.

“What should I do now? I don’t even know if I’m in the right place to be mad at him…I know he did that because that will announce our relationship to the public the moment she know about the truth…I hate her!” I talked to my teddy bears like they are real people.

OK. This is bad. I just talked to a teddy bear, who is lifeless and can’t even understand me, I should’ve talked with Railey and Daryl later instead. I’m really going crazy and it’s all because of love. Whatever! I’ll just keep it cool and think of things to do while I wait for the girls to wake up.

Will you believe me if I tell you that I cleaned our kitchen and living room all by myself? Gosh! It was totally dust and dirt free now. After that, I decided to go out and went to Café Isabella (G-dragon’s favorite café) since it’s just 15 minutes away from the apartment. I ordered the same thing (Caramel Machiatto and Tuna Deli) and started working. It was really relaxing to breathe some fresh air, be by myself and just focus on work. I had my earphones on, listen to K-POP while doing my thing and shut myself from reality.

“Daryl! Wake up! Wake up sleepy ! C’mon!” I heard Railey upon opening the door of our apartment.

“What’s with all the shouting?” I asked while removing my shoes.

“Bryan is calling me and he will not stop unless I answer it” Railey said as I began to think who that guy is.

“Wait there…I’ll just get changed” I said and went to my room quickly and changed into my house clothes.

“Bryan? Do I know him?” I asked, still thinking who he was.

“Daryl’s ex boyfriend…who courted me then after I rejected him…he started hitting on you as well…the root of our one and only fight” she said and I suddenly remembered who that jerk was.

Bryan is a not-so popular model who thinks that he’s the most handsome guy in the whole universe, he worked for Runway magazine as a part timer, who dated Daryl for 2 months. The reason of their break up? Well, the guy realized that Railey is hot, so he courted her then got rejected, then when he realized that I can help him with his career, he started hitting on me as well and courted me too. He’s like hitting a bird not only with 2 but 3 stones.

“Why will he call you? And does he even know that we’re here in Korea?” I asked while leaning against the wall beside Daryl’s door.

“I don’t know! Here…he’s calling again!” Railey gave her phone to me and I just stared at it.

After so many minutes of trying to wake Daryl up, we’ve decided to enter her room by opening her door with a key. We saw her sleeping like a log on her bed and she was even snoring (funny thing that we did, well, we recorded her snore..haha!).

“Wake up! You’ve got a call…it’s your mom…emergency!” I shouted at her and upon hearing what I said, she opened her eyes and sat up. I gave the phone to her and she answered it without even looking at the caller I.D.

“Mom?” Daryl said and Railey and I started laughing so hard.

“Who the heck are you? Where’s my mom?” Daryl said in alarm and by that time, I’m tearing up.

“What?! Bryan?!” Daryl looked at both of us as we try to control our laughter, she raised an eyebrow and we just shrugged like two innocent people.

Daryl then walked out of her room still talking with Bryan and we burst out laughing again. It was an unexpected prank that we made and it was so fun that I forgot about my personal problems. I know that things are a lot easier when you’re not taking them seriously and laughter is really the greatest medicine to any pain.

“I hate the both of you!” Daryl joined us in the living room after talking with Bryan.

“We love you…what made that jerk call?” Railey asked while I was hugging the pillow that G-dragon used to sleep on yesterday (I know what perfume he is using because coincidentally, we’re using the same perfume and it’s a woman’s scent surprisingly).

“Well… he just called to say hi and asked about our schedules for today” she answered and I started to get confused.

“He’s here in Korea? I mean he wouldn’t ask for our schedule if he’s not planning to see us, right?” Railey asked and I nod in agreement.
