Fifth day and I’m still waiting for her to open her eyes and I’m already on the verge of giving up. My hopes of seeing her smiling and laughing is slowly slipping away. I know that all of us are still waiting for that day where she’ll open her eyes and talk. The doctors already considered her in a coma but for me, she’s not, she’s just resting I guess, and she’ll soon wake up once her mind is freshened up and ready to kick asses once again.

My in-laws arrived two days ago and as expected, all the blames are on me. I’m still lucky coz they’re not that mad at me. My father in-law punched me though, but it’s all fine coz I really deserve it. Her parents are disappointed and we are totally not in good terms.

Isabella has been staying with me and she’s taking care of her mum as well. All the nurses and doctors that checks her mum knows her already and she makes everyone happy. I’ve been in this four walled lonely room for days now and I’m fortunate that I haven’t gone crazy yet.

Almost all the YG family artists already went here to watch over her, the 2ne1 girls even stayed for a night with Daryl and Railey yesterday because I wasn’t able to finish recording early. Yes, I’m already back to work but still my mind is here with my wife.

Staring at my wife is like staring at a picture, totally still and says so many things. I still cry a lot just by staring at her. It’s like my life has been taken away from me and I’m struggling to get again, if only I can trade places with her, I will. She’s going through a lot and I want to carry her burden for her, I want to be the hero in her story, but I don’t know how.

“Babe”

I woke up right away when I heard that. She’s calling me and I know that it’s her coz her voice is the sweetest voice that I’ve ever heard.

I don’t know if I’m dreaming or hallucinating, but when I woke up and went to her, she’s not even moving and even if I shake her I’m getting no response.

“Babe…why are you playing on me like this…huh? If your already awake just open your eyes…no need to prank me” I said while caressing her cheek.

“C’mon! It’s been five days babe…you should’ve regained your batteries already” I joked and kissed her forehead.

I love how she’s trying to fight, I know that one of these days, I’ll be able to see her out of that hospital bed. I love holding her hand, it’s so warm and comforting, I love looking at our wedding ring too, it always reminds me to be strong and to hold on.

“DAD!” Isabella shouted while running towards me.

“Baby girl! I missed you” I said while carrying her.

“I miss you too!” she replied.

She’s beginning to sound like her mum as days pass by and it freaks me sometimes.

“How’s you sister?” I asked.

I haven’t seen Gabriella for two days now coz I don’t have time to go home, I kinda miss my little one too.

“She can sit now and she talks…but I can’t understand her….she laughs so loud…she’s afraid of Gaho…she cries whenever Gaho comes near her and I always protect her and tell Gaho…SHOO!” she answered excitedly and I laughed.

“Really?” I asked and she nods.

I didn’t notice my mother in-law who is now seated on the couch and listening coldly in our father-daughter conversation. _______’s dad came here just once coz according to him, seeing his daughter in this state makes him really sad.

“Mum…Good Morning” I greeted politely.

“Good Morning” she greeted back coldly.

That’s it! And I’m telling you, that will be our only conversation for the whole day. I cannot even look at her in the eyes because I feel so guilty.

“Heyah!” Daryl came in the room followed by Railey minutes after Isabella and my mother in-law arrived.

“Auntie!” Isabella shouted and I placed her down.

“How are you?” Railey asked.

“Good!” she answered.

“Good Morning Auntie” the girls greeted my mother in-law.

“Good Morning” she replied.

“I’m going out for a while” she said and walked out of the room.

“Gosh! Your mother in-law is totally scary!” Railey said and I smiled.

“She’s not like that before…I mean…we’ve known her for so many years now and she’s not a cold …she used to be this hip and cool mum” Daryl said.

“I think she’s just disappointed with what happened to _______” Railey said and I nod.

“It’s actually a good thing that you guys arrived…I feel like I’m being put inside a plastic bag when she arrived…it’s really awkward and suffocating” I said and the girls laughed.

“I’m so sure that once Sleeping Beauty heard that? She will laugh her off…BIGTIME!” Daryl said.

“How is she?” Railey asked while my wife’s arm.

“Well…the doctor went here awhile ago and he told me that she’s still the same…it’s actually a good thing that her body is still accepting medications” I answered.

“Oh gosh sis! Drama’s over! You’re villain is gone and she’s going crazy right now” Railey said.

“How’s the case going Ji?” Daryl asked.

“We’re already getting there and my lawyer said that in a matter of months she’s going to be in jail for a long time” I answered and they gave each other high fives.

“YEAH! Heard that Sleeping Beauty? Lauren is going in jail!” Daryl said.

The case is going really fast and smooth. Lauren is still acting like a crazy woman and she’s slowly looking like one already. My lawyer advice me to talk to her and at least have a closure but for me, there’s nothing to close and I’m done with her. All I want to do now is to get her in jail and give justice to my wife. I don’t know what will I do with Lauren if something bad happens to my wife.

“Ah! You’re already rehearsing for your concert?” Railey asked.

“Yes…I’m gonna leave later for that…I can’t skip rehearsals” I answered and sighed.

“Don’t worry Ji…your lovely wife is safe in our hands” Daryl said and I nod.

“I know that...it’s just that…leaving her even just for a few hours is torture” I said.

“Ji…I know that ______ knows how much you took care of her…and I’m sure that she wants you to go to work” Daryl said.
