Yuri POV

It's New Year's Eve, Yoong decided to throw a party at his place with of course, us five again.  It seems that Taeyeon and the others haven’t come back yet from their family vacations.

"Appa. Tell me, do I really need to come along?" Sunkyu asked. We're currently stuffing the truck some food and the large speakers I borrowed from Kangin for the celebration later. "Yes, kid. This is our first New Year celebration with your mom, in case, you've forgotten."

"I know that appa. But I'm the only kid there."

"I thought you said you're already an adult, sweetie? You should at least hang with your fellow 'adults', right?" Tiffany snapped.

He then sighed. "I know I am. It's just that you guys have dates. What about me?"

"Relax kid. Haven't I told you Yoong has a beautiful neighbor? She's at your age too." I said.

"Let's go appa!" He excitedly climbed up in the truck. "Hurry up guys!"

"Really?" Fany asked.

"Not really."

"Kyu will really kill you if he finds that out." She put both of her arms on my shoulders and rubbed her nose on mine.

"At least, I convinced him."

"Yah! Let's leave already!" Kyu shouted.

"Alright alright!"

*At Yoong's place*

Yoong's apartment is the best place to celebrate New Year as it is situated on the rooftop.  It is a nice place to launch some fireworks and to party all night too. Yoong bought various types of liquor and some Chinese firecrackers for tonight’s celebration. It seems like he wanted a really loud celebration this time, unlike last year. Yoong and I cleaned up the rooftop while the girls prepared the food. Sunkyu, on the other hand, is courting Yoong's neighbor downstairs.  Well I never thought there was really a little girl there.

Set aside, I noticed Yoong became cheerful nowadays. Well, I never thought that for such a very sad person like Jessica will make someone so jolly like this. "Wow. You seem to be so happy nowadays, Yoong." I said.

"No dude. I always am happy."

"I know you are but this time it’s really obvious you’re ten times happier than usual. Tell me, is Jessica the one?"

He blushed madly and looked away. "I- I guess..."

"How about that guy?"

"Seoyeong? Nah. I can say I'm not confused anymore. I'm a real man!"

“Why? Did something happened with both of you? Don’t tell me you tried to kiss him again.”

“No. I didn’t. It’s just that I realized you guys are right. He’s really creepy. And I also found out something about him.”

“What is it?”

“He’s gay. And totally I’m not his type. It’s you.”

“What?!”

“Well... He keeps on bugging me about you. That maybe is why he kept on trying to hang out with me.”

"You know what? This topic is really creeping me out. Let’s just forget about him.”

“Yeah, my pleasure.”

“So... Are you and Jessica officially dating now?"

"No..."

"Why not?"

"I asked her out so many times before. She just rejects me all the time."

"Then ask her out again. Maybe the feeling has changed."

Jessica and Tiffany came out from his home, carrying trays. "All set!" Fany shouted happily.

"Why am I born as a woman? Being a woman is nothing but torture of cooking, household chores, PMS and pregnancy." Jessica said.

"Go. Ask her out." I nudged him. "Alright." He then took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." I signaled Tiffany to sit beside me and leave the two alone.

"Jessica. I- uh..."

"Here. Eat this. I made this dumpling." She dipped the dumpling on the ketchup and fed it to him with her hand.

"Mmmm. It tastes good."

"Really?" She asked and giggled.

She giggled! Wow- This is really a 180 degree turn of event.

"Jessie's back." Tiffany murmured and wiped imaginary tears from her eyes, "I'm really gonna thank Yoong later."

"She hasn't. Look. She's still wearing that dark make-up."

"I know. At least it's one step at a time."

"Yeah, you're right... I'm happy for them."

"You got ketchup right there." Jessica pointed.

"Huh? Where?" Yoong asked.

"Wait. Let me." She grabbed a tissue and lightly wiped Yoong's cheek. "There. Done." Yoong looked at her dumbfounded and after a few seconds, he snapped out from his thoughts. "Jessica, would you like to uhhmm hangout?"

"We're already hanging out now."

"No. I mean some other time. Like maybe play rock band, watch movies, dine at restaurants, you know... like that?"

"Are you asking me out?"

He blushed then looked away from her, "Sort of."

"Hmmm. I'll think about it."

"Really?!"

"I said I'll think about it.
