Yuri POV

Since 7 AM of 24th of October, 2017, we have been searching for the place where the killing of Henry Jaejoong Hwang will commence. By 11 AM, we luckily have found the potential place. It was an abandoned hospital. We found clues that this will be it due to the fact that it was unusually guarded by several men. Well, for a peaceful county like Uiseong, I doubt this is just an ordinary thing.

We asked for Im Yoong's help in identifying these individuals through face recognition. According to his research, they were ex-convicts. It could be possible they were hired for this. 

At 2 PM, as soon as we got the chance, we infiltrated the place and captured these ex-convicts. Just a little bit of our torture methodology, we found out our hunch was correct. They were hired by an unknown individual to secure this place until tonight. It was the same description said by the attackers we interrogated yesterday. Nonetheless, we decided to take over the place and pretend that we're them as we wait for the happening for tonight.

At 3 PM on the same day, Zico called and informed me that they have found Jessica Sooyeon Jung and the Hwang Tycoon. She was currently spying on the latter. I requested his team to ensure a hundred percent surveillance of her.

It was already 5 PM, I received another report from Zico that Uncle Jaejoong was not alone. He is being accompanied by another adult who seemed to be in his thirties. Again, we had the face of the stranger scanned through face recognition. 

"Hyung, we got it." Yoong snapped as soon as I answered his phone call. "His name's Lee Shi-kyung. He's a resident in North Jeolla province."

"I see... How is he related to Uncle Jae, then?"

"We traced his parentage and found out his father was a former servant of the Hwangs. That's according to what Tiffany said as she recognized his father."

I then heard Tiffany snapped from the other line too, "And his father has always been loyal to mine. He actually owed him a lot."

Yoong then continued, "And I guess that is why Lee Shi-kyung's seemed to be accompanying and helping Uncle Jaejoong out. It must be a return of gratitude."

"I see... Thanks."

"Take care there, Yuri-yah." Tiffany uttered.

"Yes. You two better take care of yourselves too. Be alert."

"Okay. Bye. I love you."

"I love you too."

"Bye, hyung." Yoong snapped.

"Bye." I ended the call and redirected to Rap and Soo. Apparently, the both of them and I are the ones tasked to guard inside the place while the rest of our team are outside. "The guy who Uncle is together with is Lee Shi-kyung. He seemed to mean no harm to him. He's probably just helping Uncle out."

"I see..." Soo responded then immersed in his thoughts. "It's kinda weird, though. If he just wanna help, then why go all the way to Uiseong?"

"Yeah. I know. His intention is somewhat shady. But then, Yoong said it might be a sign of gratitude since his father owed Uncle a lot."

"I see..." Then, he breathed deeply. "Oh, well... I guess it'll be a waste of time if we try scrutinize that guy. He seemed to be harmless, anyway."

"Yes. Let's just focus on stopping the killing tonight."

"Right."

According to Zico, Jessica's being accompanied by six more men. They seemed to be helping her out on hunting Uncle Jae. We plan to take them down to leave Jessica alone. In that way, we can just snatch her out easily. *Sigh*. Though, I have a very bad feeling our plan will not go smoothly. Perhaps, it will fail tremendously.

A half an hour later, a vehicle stopped in front of the abandoned establishment. It was Uncle Jae and his helper. The former went out of the car.

"Quick." Shi-kyung said from the car as he ducked out. "Get inside. I'll just hide the car." 

"Thanks, Shi-kyung. Thank you so much for helping me out." 

"No problem, sir. It's always my pleasure to serve the Hwangs." Then, he drove off. Uncle Jaejoong then went inside.

I quickly headed downstairs to meet him up. "Uncle." I snapped.

His eyes lit up and smiled in relief. He quickly had me in an embrace. "Yuri."

"Are you okay? What happened to you? Why were you out for weeks and didn't even try to contact us?"

He broke away and uttered, "Somebody got me abducted for weeks. He threatened if I didn't cooperate with him, he'll kill Stephanie in an instant. He also ordered me to record phone calls with his subordinate as if depicting me of ordering assassinations of Sehun and Yoong."

So, that's it. Jessica has been fed lies all along. The real culprit behind really did decide to manipulate Jessica to targeting Uncle. This really boggles me. Why? Really, why?

"Tell me, what happened to them? Are they okay?" he asked.

"Sehun's already dead. Someone shot him. And that assassin shouted your name before killing himself too. Yoong got shot as well but he survived. Until now, he's in the hospital for his recovery, though."

"I see..." He lowered his gaze.

"Aside from them, no one else got hurt. Though, someone attacked Uncle Vincent and Tiffany too but, they're now okay."

He looked at me, "Who hurt them?"

"Just... Just someone... probably one of the men of who abducted you..." He looked saddened by the news. I then redirected, "Uncle, we need to get out of here. Someone's trying to kill you."

"I know... Someone's been chasing us."

Sooyoung went down to us too, "Yuri. We're gonna go out. They're about to get here now."

"Okay."

He looked at Uncle. "Hey, Uncle. Glad you're still alive and kicking."

Uncle Jae smiled faintly at him, "Thanks. Be careful out there, Soo."

"Don't worry about me. Death and I aren't that much close." He then went out along with Rap.

Soon, Shi-kyung has arrived inside. He looked startled at seeing me. "Shi-kyung." Uncle called. "This is Yuri, my daughter's boyfriend." Uncle redirected to me, "This is Shi-kyung. He helped me out on escaping from my abductor."

Shi-kyung went near, "It's nice to meet you." He offered a handshake.

I ignored him and focused on Uncle. "This is a trap, Uncle. Everything's been set up right in this place to end your life."

"What do you mean?"

I looked at Shi-kyung, "Though, it's kind of a weird coincidence that you decided to lead Uncle Jae into this place."

"I just saw this place and seemed to be a better venue to hide away." He looked at Uncle. "If what he's saying is right, we better get out of here, then. Let's go."

"I take it from here." I quickly snapped. "Thank you for your help."

"B-but--- I know this place much more than you all do."

"Considering you are from North Jeolla?"

Now, he looked offended, "What is your problem? I am just trying to help out here. Look. I already volunteered to help Sir Henry out and this is what you return to me?"

Uncle butted, "Yuri. Shi-kyung's a good person."

"But, Uncle--"

"We should at least give him a ride away from this place. I owe him so much, Yuri. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be alive til now."

This guy... his face depicted innocence, though. He seemed to just be genuinely helping Uncle out.

All of a sudden, we heard gunshots outside. I pulled out my gun and aimed at the entrance. I snapped at my Bluetooth earpiece, "Soo, report."

"They're here. And there's so ing many of them! Their number got tripled! ing get Uncle out of here. We'll hold them from here."

"Okay. Be caref---"

"Oh, ." he suddenly snapped. "Je--" Our transmission got disconnected. We then heard showering of gunfires.

"Uncle, hide." I snapped. He was about to comply when suddenly the door was forcefully kicked. It was a masked person and definitely was a woman. Shi-kyung tried to assault her but immediately, she shot him in the chest. He fell down on the ground lifelessly. He was now fully covered by his own blood. Then, she aimed her gun at Uncle Jaejoong and slowly walked near.

"Jessica, this is enough." I uttered.

"J-Jessica?" Uncle said while looking at me in shock.

Jessica threw her masked away. It felt different, though. It's like, she's not the Jessica that I always I knew. She's no longer the Jessica I knew. There was no other emotion but hatred and grudge.

"I told you to not interfere, Yuri."

"Jessica, stop. Uncle Jaejoong's innocent."

"Innocent?! you!" She shot me on the hand, making my gun dropped away from me. She fired another bullet and hit me on my upper right leg. "I won't ing hesitate to kill you now too, Yuri. I don't ing care if you die along with your father-in-law!" She shot me again and hit me on my left shoulder. "I told you not to interfere! I told you not to ing interfere!"

"Jessica. Don't get Yuri involved in this." Uncle Jajeoong uttered. "Let him go. I am your target. Don't taint yourself with the blood of the innocent ones."

She started to laugh maniacally. She aimed her gun at him again. "So, now you're blatantly admitting you're not innocent, Henry Jaejoong Hwang?"

"Jessica!" Sooyoung shouted as soon as he reached the entrance. His ear was dripping with blood. He aimed at her. "Put that gun down!"

"And what are you gonna do, Sooyoung? Kill me?" she said and laughed. Then, she pulled out another gun and aimed at Soo. She successfully hit him in his abdomen. Luckily he was wearing a bulletproof life vest inside his shirt. "Don't you ing come near, Sooyoung or I'll shoot you right to your skull!" Without a warning, she shot him twice on his two feet, making him immobilized.

She focused back on Uncle. "Your life's going to end here, Henry."

"Jessica..."

"You, ing sick..."

"Jessica..."

"You are so despicable!"

"Tell me. How could a spineless person like you still be able to live as if you ing have not sinned?! Tell me?!"
