If there is someone the heaven loves to shower all the randomness and all the unbelievable surprises in the World, that will be me. Seriously, dear Lord, why?

As I rush out from Ms. Shin's hotel room for seeing Seohyun in there, I had another extremely random encounter with someone else from my past.

Who?

It was Sooyoung.

Sooyoung...

Sooyoung!!!

The elevator door opened and there was him, riding the lift alone. He noticed me then returned a stare and smirk. It’s same as before which always makes me melt and fall for him.

I couldn't get to move. My body froze from seeing him. I think my jaw somehow dropped too.

Arrghh!!! Why is he so handsome?!

Oh God. Now, he's coming near. Okay don't panic, Hyoyeon, relax. Breathe in, breathe out... Hey, breathe, Hyoyeon, breathe! Don't let him kill you by his handsomeness! That will be like the most absurd cause of death ever!

"Hey." he uttered in a very husky way. He waited for my response yet, got nothing in return. Well, I didn't know what to say, okay!

He continued, "It's been a while."

I wanted to respond. Yet, I couldn't find words too say. I was too struck. I then closed my eyes, hoping to find answer on what to do next.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

Okay... Okay... That's it. Run away!

I quickly headed for the elevator and pushed almost all the buttons just to make it close fast. Yet, unfortunately, he already forwarded his hand, making the elevator door open up again. He rode the lift again. And what comes next is, of course, a very awkward moment for me!

"Why are you trying to avoid me?" he asked.

"..."

"Did I do something wrong for you to decide on leaving our country?"

"Why do you think it's always about you?!" I answered in annoyance.

"Then, why did you leave?"

"Because, I just want to. And it's totally none of your business. Please, stop meddling with my life."

The elevator then opened for the ground floor. I quickly headed out. Yet, before I could even go farther, he uttered those words that made my heart flutter in so much sweetness and bitterness,

            "I missed you, Hyoyeon-ah."

And I missed you too...

I rushed my way to the employee's locker room and immediately closed its door tight. "Hey, are you okay?" Taecyeon suddenly asked from behind and got me startled.

"Taecyeon." I uttered his name as I panted.

"What happened?" he went near and tried to console me.

"Sooyoung's here."

"Ehh?" he reacted. Yet, grin has started to form from his lips. "Oh my goodness."

"Taecyeon, whatever you are thinking. Stop it." I sat on the free bench.

He went nearer. "Oh my goodness."

"What?!"

Yet, he just smiled annoyingly, "OH MY GOODNESS."

"Can't you just please stop from saying that?!"

"He went here just to see you!"

"I..." I looked away. "Shut up."

"He flew here just to see you!"

"I said shut up, Taec!"

"Aren't you happy?"

"Why would I be happy, huh? Didn't I tell you many times already that I never want to see him anymore?!"

"Then, why are you blushing?"

I quickly looked away to hide my face from him. "No, I'm not blushing okay, it was the light."

"Oh, you never gonna fool me, sistah." He sat beside me. "Don't you think it's romantic?"

"It's not. It's stupid!"

"So..." he giggled like a little girl. "Does he still looked handsome?"

"I... I don't know. He's just the same."

"The hell. Just admit it you always find him handsome."

"Shut up. I don't wanna hear any of your spazz about him again." I stood and headed for my locker to get my things. "I'm going to leave early today. I'm just gonna go file an under-time."

"But, Hyoyeon..."

I faced him, "I have to go now. Laters."

"Err- okay. Bye."

I opened the door and found Sooyoung just waiting outside. He smiled and greeted, "Hey, there."

I shoved him away and walked in fast pace.

"Hey, hey! Wait!" He tried to catch up. After I got out from the backdoor and then to the street in front of the Hotel, he grabbed my arm to stopped me. "Hold on."

"What do you want, Soo?"

"N-nothing." He said and looked away in nervous manner.

"Then, leave me alone." I swatted his hand and continued from walking. Yet, he pulled me back again.

"Look. Hyoyeon, let's talk."

I sighed loudly, "What do you want to talk about?"

"I-- uhh... So, how are you?"

"I'm fine, thank you. Is that all?"

He diverted his gaze away. "I was worried about you…"

I sighed again, "Sooyoung, I'm not your employee anymore. You don't have to give a damn about me and neither should I to you."

"But, we're still friends." He chuckled bitterly, "Come on. We're friends since childhood. Are you just gonna throw that away?"

I looked away. "I'm sorry... But, I really just have to."

"Why? Why did you have to leave?"

"…"

"At least, give me a reason why."

"I have to, Soo. I don't want to live my life forever under your family's support. I want to raise my family on my own."

"Is that really it?"

"Yeah."

"Then, that's stupidity. You should have at least finished your college degree and perhaps after that, you can even raise your family better than this."

"I'm planning to finish my course here."

"When? With the small salary you're having here, you think you can finance your schooling that fast?"

"Look. You don't have to shove me your point on how wrong the decision I made. See? That's also why I wanted to get away from you. You always boss me around, thinking you own my life."

"I'm just stati--"

"Enough, Soo. I'm eternally grateful for how much your family helped us. I don't want to become a burden anymore so I did this. I promise to pay you back someday. I swear."

"The only way you can pay me is to get back to Korea with me... Just stay there."

"Why?"

"Wh-what why?"

"Why do you want me back?"

"It's because..."

"Because what?"

"Because..."

"What, Sooyoung?! What?!"

"It's because I love you, damn it!"

He loves me...?

I... I don't know what to say... what to feel... it's like....

He continued in stutter, "I lo-love you, o-kay. Isn't that enough of a reason?"

"As a friend?"

"No."

"Really?"

"Even more than as a friend, okay!"

"As a best friend?"

"The hell, no! I l-love you! As i-in... r-romantically speaking!"

"W-why?"

"What why?" he asked in annoyance.

"Why do you love me?!"

"I don't know, okay!"

"When...?"

"Huh?!"

"Since when?!"

"I don't know, okay! I don't know! Are you gonna ask me all the five 'W's on this?!"

"Yes because it makes no sense at all!"

"I just felt it! I just realized it! I don't even know when, why, how, or whatever!"

"..."

"Now, can you please return with me?"

"No..."

"No?!"

"My decision's final, Sooyoung."

"Oh. You gotta be kidding me."

"I want to be independent. What part of that you don't understand?"

"So, that's really it? You leaving isn't exactly related to me getting married to Tiffany last year or something?"

"What makes you think you're the reason, huh?!"

"Tiffany told me everything before our cancelled wedding. She told me the truth that you've been in love with me since we were kids."

"Oh damn that blabbermouth..." I mumbled.

"So… was it the reason or not?"

"S-so what if that's the reason?"

"Answer me."

I looked away. "Partly."

He chuckled. Then, he went nearer and pulled me into his arms. He kissed me on the forehead. I rested my forearms on his shoulders. He rubbed the tip of his nose unto mine then, rested his forehead on mine. "I love you." he repeated. "Please, give me an answer."

"I love you too."

He smiled then, he captured my lips with his. It was a warm, gentle kiss. It was euphoric for me, to the point, I felt tears falling down from my eyes.

He broke away then cupped my face with his both hands. "You don't know how happy I am." He kissed me on the forehead, on the nose, then, all over my face. He lifted me up and started twirling around while screaming for joy. "Wooooooohhooooooo!!!"

"Sooyoung, stop! This is embarrassing!"
