Yuri POV

"It's all set and done, boss." Rap Monster, my loyal subordinate since we were abducted in Anseong Prison four years ago, said from the other line of the call.

"Good."

"Err-- boss?"

"Yes?"

"You've already read the email I sent you, right? About the news?"

"Oh that... What about it?"

"Are you okay with it? I mean... are you okay, man?"

I chuckled, "There's nothing to worry about. It's not a freaking big deal."

"Well, if you need someone to be your shoulder to cry on, I'll fly back there just to console you. I'll even bring Tao along too. I heard his prison sentence will finally be done in few months’ time, I think?"

I chuckled again, "Shut the ing up, Rap. Stop acting like a dirty old gay man. Just do your job there. That's all I need you to be worried about. Send Tao my regards in case you guys meet, by the way."

"Alrighty."

"You know your protocol. Just contact me if anything unusual happens."

"Roger that." he responded. I ended the call and focused back to office work.

It's already early afternoon of the 29th of August, the year 2016. Here I am, now getting myself busy with things at the office. Well, this is actually the first time since Jessica and I started to hook up, though. Besides, I need to do something in here too and that is to talk to my best friend about my plan to marry his ex.

It's almost a month passed and since then, Taeyeon somewhat decided to take official business trips outside Nevada. It's been three weeks straight that he had been jumping from one country to another, totally busying himself with out-of-the-country work. It seems he's been avoiding me or Jess. That's really more like the reason why, I think. Because if not, I'm sure Taeng will never dare to leave this place because Jessica's here.

Anyway, he had no choice but to return to this office. He has to seek my approval on his OBT forms, else, those fieldwork dates will cost deduction from his salary.

It's almost thirty minutes passed when my best friend finally decided to show up in my office. "Yo, boss." he greeted as he entered the room. He then placed his business-trip approval forms on top of my desk. "For your approval, please."

I picked up the papers and reviewed them, "Hmmm... Been too busy jumping from country to country nowadays, huh?"

"Well, I had to. No one's going to volunteer for that except me."

"Really?" I looked at him quizzically. "Is that really it?"

He faked a chuckle, "Of course. What makes you think I have another reason?"

"You're not avoiding me or Jessica, are you?"

He chuckled again, "And why would I?"

"Because we decided to hook up?"

He looked away. "It's both your decision. Why should I care anyway?"

"Because you love her?"

"..."

"Are you mad at me, Taeyeon?"

He returned his gaze back to me and smiled, "I don't have a reason to, man."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"I violated the bro code. I've been sleeping with your ex. It was actually even more than just sleeping together. Doesn't that infuriate you, at least?"

He looked at me with a straight face. "Jessica's ing irresistible. I do understand. And the with the bro code? The four of us have been violating that ruling ever since. Sooyoung on you, me on Yoong, you on me, Yoong on you, Yoong on me, you on Yoong. It's been voided for so many years already."

"So, is it really okay with you that Jessica and I are officially dating now?"

"Yes."

"Final answer?"

"Yes. Until when are you gonna annoy me with that question?"

"Until I'm satisfied with your answer."

He looked at me in disbelief. Then, he sighed loudly, "Please sign my OB forms already, boss, so we can wrap this up."

"I'm not done yet."

"..."

"Taeyeon. Just to make it clear, Jessica's mine now."

He nodded as he looked at me boringly, "Yes, of course."

"And for the record, she's mine since the very beginning."

He looked at me disbelievingly and repeated in question, "From the very beginning?"

"She was my fiancé since we were young. Doesn't that equate to her belonging to me ever since?"

"Just get straight to the point, boss. Is that what you really wanted to tell me?"

"Partly. What I want to tell you now is I have decided to marry her."

He smirked a little as he looked away. He might have retorted something at the back of his mind. I know what he's thinking, though.

I continued, "And she decided to marry me too."

And that had him shocked slightly. "Sh-she did?"

I nodded, "Yes."

He faked a smile then nodded too, "Right, congratulations then. You won against me and Yoong. You know, we've both been trying to convince Jess to marry us. But yeah, we were never successful on it."

"Right." I nodded again. "And I hope you understand and accept our decision."

"It's not a big deal. You two have your own free will and can decide on your own lives. I don't have the right to object or whatever."

"Thanks, man."

He smiled faintly, "You're welcome."

I signed the OB forms. Yet, before I handed them back to him, I uttered, "Taeyeon, just a reminder..."

"Yes?"

"Stop."

"Stop what?"

"Stop on getting your hopes up on Jessica."

He chuckled, "I already did, okay."

"You are my best friend. I totally know you inside and out. I know you're not gonna back out and I know how much you hate me right now." I handed him the forms.

He faked a loud sigh again. "Well, you're wrong. Do whatever you want. Jessica can do whatever she wants too."

"Stop faking and be honest with me."

"This conversation's going nowhere." He stood up. "Thank you for your sign-offs, boss..."

He started to head out of the office and I went back to focus on my work. Yet, before he could open the door, he turned back and admitted to me, "Fine. You win. I'm upset."

I smiled, "You sure are."

"How the hell did you make her say yes?!"

"Simple. I am just me."

He looked at me in disbelief, "Whaaaaat?"

"It's because I am me, she said yes. She deserves no one in this world but me. I am the most suitable, the most rightful, the most perfect one for her. I think she might have realized that too. I'm sure you're aware she's the first one who proposed to me years ago, am I right?"

He scoffed, "The most suitable, rightful, perfect one? What makes you say that?"

I smirked as I shot him a proud stare. "One, I can make her happy without her getting haunted by the ghost of her past. Two, I satiate her earthly desires much better than how you do." I chuckled. "And we don't need to prove that since she's so much crazy over me now."

He rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Pfft. You are so full of yourself."

"Yeah. I am." I stood up and went near him. "Three, her father only wants me as his son-in-law, not you, not Yoong either."

"..."

"And lastly, I can protect her. And I am pretty much sure I am the only one who can protect her right now and for the rest of her life."

"So, you're implying I can't?"

"Yes. And even Yoong. I am much more in power than you and him now."

"..."

"I can even give her whatever she wants. I can give her the heads of those she wanted to behead. Anything. Everything."

"So, do you finally understand, Kim Taeyeon?"

"Yeah, I do."

I smiled again, "Great then. You'll be my best man, okay?"

He looked at me in disbelief with his jaw dropped a little. "Dude, are you for real?"

"Yes, I am. You pretty much have no choice, man, since you're the only best friend of mine who's around me right now. And, Jessica and I have already decided not to have Yoong and Stephanie invited at our wedding nor our other friends back in Korea."

He sighed loudly, "Right. Sure thing, man. It will be my pleasure to become your best man at your wedding with my beloved ex-girlfriend. That sure is a great idea."

"Thank you, Taeng."

"But, let me just ask... What about Tiffany? Aren't you gonna clear up everything on her before you marry her best friend, huh?"

"Jessica will do that for me. I am the one tasked on Yoong, though."

"So, basically, you're letting Jessica blurt out on your ex-girlfriend that you are alive after all these years?"

"Hmmm. Yeah. But, not exactly. I'll be showing up myself on her."

"And do you even realize how chaotic it would be if you do that? You'll probably infuriate her, get her angry, and get her go crazy mad at you."

"Yes. And I don't care."

"Jessica and I will just be announcing our marriage to them, answer their little queries about anything, but not exactly asking for their approval. It doesn't matter how will they react or whatever. It doesn't matter if our marriage will end my friendship with Yoong nor her friendship with Stephanie. It's all set and done. It's all finalized. Jessica and I will get married and I will never let anyone try to destroy our plan."

"Really? So you don't give a damn about Stephanie at all?"

"Yes."

"Not even a little feeling left for her?"

"Yes."

"She's already happy with her life without me. I am already happy with my life without her too."

He smirked as he reiterated, "We have been best friends for so many years already, man. I totally know you inside out." He then sighed loudly, "Well, I won't be interrogating you any more about it, though. I'll just brush it off." He opened the door. "Have a happy life with Jessica, okay. You deserve to be happy, man." He flashed me another smile then went out and shut it.

Hmm... One down. One more to go.

Jessica insisted that she'll be visiting me at work today. She said that she wanted to be in good terms with my staffs in the office, that, she has to because she'll be my future wife. You know… Jessica's really kinda cute. She might look bored or uninterested, really. But, for freaking real, she's been more excited than my mother has been since she found out I officially proposed to her 'favorite daughter-in-law'.

So, right now, I am about to leave the office to fetch her at the floor's reception hall. Yet, as I arrived, I noticed Seohyun was there standing in front of my fiancé as if eyeing the latter from head to toe like giving her judgment inside her mind.

Jessica snapped at her boringly, "What do you want, Psycho?"

Seohyun scoffed, "I should be the one to ask you that. What do you want? What are doing here?"

Sica raised one of her eyebrows, "It's none of your business."

Seo gritted her teeth first then uttered, "Whatever. Anyway, let's talk. We need to talk."

"We're talking now."

"I mean, privately."

"We're alone here now."

"This is a hallway, idiot!" She started to stomp out. "Follow me!"

Jessica sighed loudly then, just followed the former in defeat. Seohyun led her to the pantry. Jessica helped herself and went for the coffee vending machine.

"Yah. We're going to talk here, not to have a coffee break!" Seo shouted in a complaint.

Sica sat on the empty seat of the dining and drank from her coffee cup. "Okay, talk. Now. What is it that you want to discuss with me?"

"I want you to leave Yuri-oppa. Leave him alone. Get out of his life."

"And why?"

"Isn't it enough for you that you destroyed Yoong-oppa and Taeyeon-oppa's lives?! Now, you want to do the same on Yuri-oppa too?!"

She chuckled, "Look. I didn't actually try to seduce Yuri, you know. I am just naturally irresistible that even your beloved Yuri-oppa could not resist. It's not my fault that you couldn't make him fall for you."

"Shut up! I'm not exactly saying he should fall in love with me! All I just want is for you to leave him alone! He doesn't deserve a woman like you!"

Jessica laughed loudly, "Hahahahaha oh my gosh! You sounded so desperate, dear Psycho!" She then stood up and went closer to the younger woman. "Look closer. Stare if you must." She raised her the back of her hand and showed her the engagement ring I gave her two weeks ago. She smirked as she snapped, "In case you don't know, Yuri proposed to me. Look at this ring. Don't be shy. Come on." She chuckled. "This is the ring that he gave me. Take a closer look. Come on."

Seohyun groaned as she swatted the former's hand away. "Shut up! You're just her fiancé! You two can still break up!"

Sica ignored her and snapped, "Psycho girl, enough dreaming. Yuri's officially 'will be' mine. You gotta accept that. If you can't, then, suit yourself on trying to find out how Yuri and I will break up because that will never happen in a billion years."

"Don't underestimate me. I can make you leave him. Don't force me to. You better just leave by yourself."
