At first you had no idea what caused you to stir in your sleep. You’d had a great night yesterday and it had been really late when you had finally returned home, even more late when you had finally thrown the covers over you. And even then Baekhyun’s mind had been caught up with something completely different than sleep, so before you’d finally fallen into a deep sleep it was around the time that most people got up to get to work. Good news though, it was a Saturday, so you wouldn’t have to get up at a certain hour. You’d really been looking forward to be able to sleep in, just the thought had sounded amazing. A few seconds ago you were sure you’d still been fast asleep, but now you found yourself squeezing your eyes together tightly, just so the daylight wouldn’t be able to fight its way through. You wanted to hold onto this peaceful moment for as long as you could. There was always something to worry about, something to do. Even during the weekends there were times that you barely got to see each other or you had to get out of bed early to get somewhere. It would probably take a while before you’d be able to have a moment like this again, so you decided to cherish it for as long as you could. You enclosed your arms tighter around your pillow, enjoying the warmth the mattress spread across your stomach. The smell of fabric softener floated through the room and you smiled, turning your head to the side. 

The sound of a soft chuckle came from right in front of you and you knew who it was coming from. What you hadn’t known was that he was awake, and why. Usually he loved sleeping even more than you did, he begged for these mornings where his alarm clock wouldn’t go off and he wouldn’t have to drag himself out of bed in the middle of then night to get ready for his schedule. No matter how much he loved his job, he hated the mornings and he also enjoyed spending his time with you in bed. It wasn’t like him to be up before you, usually you were the one dragging him out. Inside your head you were silently wondering if you should show him you were starting to wake up and blink your eyes open to meet him, or if you should try to fall asleep again. But he seemed to make the decision for you as you felt his fingertips brush against the skin of your shoulder, before wandering down your spine. Your lips parted as a gasp left your lips and you muttered something underneath your breath as you spun your head away from him, hoping he would get the message and he would just let you be. The thought that you were beside him and he was beside you was intriguing, but you pushed it to the side. “Don’t ignore me, I know you’re awake.” He muttered his arm spreading across your back so that the warmth of his skin radiated onto yours. 

“I wasn’t, until you woke me up.” Your voice was quivery and in normal situations it would have caused you to blush, but now you couldn’t bring yourself to care. It proved to you that you had just been through some wonderful hours of sleep and he was the reason why you weren’t in that place anymore. You were sure that if he’d just let you be that you would have been able to sleep for hours. He chuckled again, and you could tell he had popped himself up on one of his elbows as the mattress ducked because of his weight. He shouldn’t be so smug about all of this, you would get back to him. But then again, you probably wouldn’t be able to do it, you didn’t have the heart for it. If he was asleep you could never wake him up without a good reason, his sleep and his health was much too important for you to do so. “Sorry, but you’re just so cute when you’re sleeping.” His voice was still soft, and you weren’t sure if it was because he didn’t want you to hear his confession or because he was afraid you’d fallen back asleep and he didn’t want to wake you up again. But his words made your heart ruffle inside of your chest and finally convinced you enough to make your eyes flutter open. At first you winced, noticing the light that flashed through the crack in the blindfolds. Blinking a few times you waited until your eyes were adjusted to the sudden change and you were able to see your surroundings. 

The room looked exactly like it always did. The bed in the middle of the room was messy with the blankets wrapped tightly around your bodies like a second skin. But there was still one thing that caught your eye, and that was the shred of clothes lingering across the floor. A smile climbed onto your face when you remembered last night. It had been perfect, he was always able to make it perfect. “Are you asleep?” He asked, not able to see your face and se you studying your surroundings. As your remained silent you could tell that he was starting to move, probably planning to get out of bed. Not wanting him to go now that you’d finally found
