“So, how was work?” You asked as you shoved your body on the small bench, at your regular table next to the window. Another body pressed itself beside yours, a feeling you had grown used to by now. The grip you had around your cup tightened as you tried to warm up your frozen fingers, but it didn’t have much use. The fluid inside was hot, comforting and exactly what you needed. When you lifted your head you found two eyes darting into yours and a smile that was especially meant for you these days. You returned the gesture but knew that he could barely see it because of the scarf that was covering at least the half of your face. “It was okay. My boss was a little bit cranky today, he kept asking for weird things like peppermints and chewing gum. But apart from that it was good. How about you, did you finally finish that last chapter?” He asked and you sniffed at him while pushing up your nose, which made him chuckle. He knew how much you were struggling to read through the last chapter of your book, you didn’t want the story to end. With your answer loud and clear for him to understand he took a sip from his coffee. 

A giggle escaped from you as you saw how a small amount of foam stayed behind just above of his lips. He lifted his eyebrows at you questioningly as he noticed you were laughing at him. You pointed your fingers towards his lips and saw how his tongue came in between his lips in the hope to remove whatever you were laughing about. "You’ve got something there mister.” Even though he had put some effort into removing it, it was still there and you lifted your hand with a giggle you lifted your hand to wipe it off. As soon as your fingers touched his lips he squirmed a little, moving away from you as soon as you were done. The only thing you could do was give him a surprised look. Had you done something wrong? “Jesus your fingers are freezing.” He said and you relaxed when you figured that had been the reason why he had reacted that way. You had no idea why but for one reason or another you couldn’t stand the fact that he didn’t want to be touched by you. The only thing you could do was sending him an apologetic smile as you let your hand fall down on the wooden table again. But to your surprise he grabbed it and held it in between his own big hands, rubbing your skin to warm you up. The gesture seemed so intimate that it made you blush. 

When he brought his hands up to his mouth and blew some hot breath onto your cold fingers you even had to try your hardest in order not to squeal at how cute this was. You had always wanted to have someone who did these kind of things to you, someone who would take care of you. But you had only known this guy for two months, you shouldn’t be feeling like this. Besides, he probably didn’t have any of those feelings towards you. “Why don’t you wear gloves if you know your fingers get this cold?” He asked as he laid your hand back to your side and asked for your other. When you hesitated to give it to him he sent you a firm look which made you chuckle before you showed him your right hand. “I guess I didn’t expect it to be this cold.” You remarked as you turned your head to look out of the window while Baekhyun warmed up your other hand. The feeling of him holding your hand was simply amazing, you wished that he would never let go of it again. “Well, I’ll text you tomorrow when I’ll leave for work. ‘Big scarf, gloves, thick coat and two pair of socks miss.’” He joked and you rolled your eyes, even though he couldn’t see you since you were facing the other direction. 

There weren’t many people outside today, if possible the streets were almost empty. You couldn’t remember the last time you had sit here and there had been so little people walking out there. It was kind of sad, now who did you have to look at as soon as Baekhyun would have to leave for work again? That meant that you were only left with two options, finally finishing that book or going home. “You really like watching people don’t you?” When his voice resounded next to your ear you turned your head back to him so that you could look at him. If you really had to admit it then watching those people outside of the coffee shop wasn’t nearly as interesting as watching him. It seemed as if he had only become even more handsome since that day you had firstly talked to him. Even though his coffee had been tasting horrible, which it still did, you were glad that the waitress had switched your cups that day. Otherwise you never would have found the courage to ever talk to a guy like him. But here he was, sitting next to you on your favorite table, like he had been doing for the past few months. It had become a habit of you to meet each other here and to drink a cup of coffee before going your separate ways again and knowing you’d see each other again the next day.
