"Happyyy birthdayyy!" Miranda screamed to you over the whole school area and you slapped her arm harshly, but still smiled like an idiot. "Does everyone need to know?" You asked in a low voice and she giggled while she turned around and linked her arm through yours. "Duh! You're my best friend and it's your birthday today! The whole world should know!" You rolled your eyes at her, but deep inside you were happy. You were happy that she remembered it and that she wanted to make you feel special on this special day. 

You were still grinning as you walked through the hallway and received some congrats from your friends. You thanked them as you made your way to your locker, needing to grab some books for your next class. "Did you already got your presents?" Miranda asked and you pouted while shaking your head. "No, not yet but I'll get them soon." She sounded like she was more curious than you were while she spoke about it and you couldn't help but smile. Miranda was just so talkative and was definitely the best friend you could ever ask for. 

You frowned as your locker appeared in sight and you noticed that something wasn't right. While walking closer you figured out that something was glued onto the door. You eyed your friend but she shurgged, knowing just as much as you. Curiously you reached your locker and pulled the little envelope off of it. "Oh my god, what is it?" Miranda asked and you just turned it to see or something was written on it. You only saw your name, which made you know it was truly for you. 

When you couldn't take it anymore you opened it and shove the letter out of it, feeling the soft paper brush against your fingertips. You folded it open and stared at the attractive handwriting which filled the surface. 'Hey ______-ah, happy birthday! I have a surpruse for you, your birthday present.
