You watched him carefully, how his hand held his pen and how it slipped across the paper. Your test was in that pile of paper somewhere, waiting for him to correct it. You bit your lip as you remembered it, it wasn’t the best test you had made and you’d surely hear it if it was bad so you hoped that you had at least passed. “Are you going out tonight?” You asked him while taking one of his pens and playing with it, turning it between your fingers and trying not to die out of boredom. Too bad he was your ride home today, normally you’d go with Baekhyun and he would put you off in front of your house, but today he was going out with his friends so you couldn’t do that. There for you were left with Kris, your science teacher, to take you home. But he still had some work to do tonight, so you had to stay here until he was done with these test. 

“Yeah, I think so. That is, if I get this done on time. Why?” He asked, popping up his eyebrow and finally looking up at you instead of staring at the copies lying under his nose. You shot him a innocent smile, one that immediately reminded him that you weren’t innocent at all and made him drop his pen and sigh deeply while leaning back in his chair. “What is it _________-ah?” He asked and you shrugged your shoulders as if it wasn’t a big deal at all, but you knew it was a big deal to him. “I was wondering if maybe Baekhyun could come over tonight, since you aren’t home anyway.” You blind your eyes at him and looked at him from under your eyelashes, making sure to give him the most adorable look he had ever seen. Your eyes were your weapons, if you had to you could even start fake crying right now and he’d always give into you. 

He let out a displeased groan and stretched his arms above his head while loosening up his neck. You understood that he must be tired, he had been working all day. But you still wanted to get him out of the house tonight, you didn’t want Kris and Baekhyun to be at your house at the same time. “You now I don’t like him.” Kris said once again, he told you that every time that Baekhyun was the topic of the conversation between the two of you, but you always pretended as if you didn’t hear it and as if you didn’t care what he thought. “He’s not such a bad guy, at least not if you’d take the chance to get to know him better.” That’s what you said each time, but not once had Kris taken the opportunity to get to know Baekhyun better, he’d rather eat his own arm then to talk to that guy. He bit at the end of his pen and gave you a annoyed look, squeezing his eyes together at you. 

“Fine, he can come, but you better make sure I don’t get to see him before I’m gone.” You popped out a smile at him and nodded your head much too happily before hopping off the desk and wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “Thank you!” You cheered and pressed a peck on his cheek, seeing how it made his sour look fade and it made room for a little smile. “That’s enough.” He said, pushing you away and leaning back over his tests, trying to get his concentration back to his work. He wasn’t a bad guy, he was just hard to understand and to please, but if you knew how to then he could be the most adorable thing on earth. No matter what happened he’d always want to best for you, because he loved you and you loved him. 

“I don’t understand what you like so much about him though, his ego is much to big and he act like he’s the biggest man on earth while he clearly isn’t.” He continued and you did your best not to roll your eyes at him, before blowing up your cheeks and making him see that he was annoying you. “He’s a great guy Kris, very sweet and charming. You don’t see that because you’ve never even talked to him before. Once you’ll have to find peace with him, you know.” This time he didn’t react and he pressed his pen down much harder on the paper then was necessary. You had pissed him off, that much was for sure, but what you had said was the truth. You loved Baekhyun and that wasn’t going to change, no matter how much you cared about Kris. 

When he was finally done correcting his test he packed his things and handed you your coat. It was winter and it had been snowing for the past couple of days, it was cold. The two of you walked down the abandoned hallways, it was weird to see the school like this since normally when you were here these hallways were filled with students. Seeing that Kris still seemed to be annoyed by what you had said you popped out a cute smile at him and linked your arm through his, trying to get his attention. “What are we getting for lunch?” You asked him as sweetly as possible and you could see that his armor was fading, since he seemed to loosen up a little. He shrugged his shoulders and looked down on you. “Whatever you want.” 

You loved the days he had no idea what to make for dinner and you could pick whatever you liked. He pushed the double doors open and held it for you as you followed right after him. You jumped as you heard a bump resound through the corridor and you both looked back into the direction where it came from. “Who’s still here?” You asked and looked up at Kris, who’s eyes were still scanning every part of the school building he could see. Then he shrugged and his attention seemed to get back to you. “Probably another teacher who is staying late tonight, it’s nothing new. Now are you coming or not?” You nodded and believed him, he knew this building much better then you did so you didn’t have any reason to doubt what he said.
