it had been a long day, but it hadn’t been any different from all the others. Like usually Baekhyun had been at work and you had been as well. Since you were working in a hospital, you wouldn’t work very long into your pregnancy. In hospitals they always took great protection of pregnant employees and after a certain time they all got some free months, so that they could prepare themselves and so that their wouldn’t be any risk that the mother or the baby could end up sick because of a germ that was going around in the hospital. At some point you loved that, it meant that you had a lot of free time and that you could rest when at a sudden point you’d get further into your pregnancy and you’re belly would become bigger and things would become harder. But at another point you didn’t like it, because Baekhyun was gone a lot and then you’d be alone most of the time, giving you a lot of free time to worry about things and to get bored. 

You walked towards the locker, the end of your day had finally arrived. You were tired and you were feeling a little sick, but you knew that this was all just a part of the process. the thought that after all this time you finally had this little creature growing inside of your belly made you forget all the pain you had to go through, it would all be worth it in the end. if these nine moths were over, you’d have a little part of Baekhyun, you’d finally have a small version of him. You opened your locker and popped open the buttons  of your jacket, planning to get back into your regular clothes. But before you had the chance to even get out of your first piece of clothing, your beeper started to go crazy inside of your coat. Even though your shift had ended ten minutes ago, you couldn’t find yourself not to answer it. 

So you quickly got back into your uniform and rushed through the doors, towards the hallway and then tried to find the right room. Some patients would use their button for the most idiotic stuff, but it was your job to check on them and take care of them if they needed anything then you’d help them out and you’d give it to them. Just like usual you felt a cramp traveling through your stomach as you sped up to reach the patient in time. But you ignored the feeling, you had had it before so why should you worry about it? There were days that you’re cramps would be so bad that you’d even feel it travel up to your shoulders. You were convinced it was because you were pushing your body to its limits and you were working too hart, but tomorrow was your day off and then you’d take a good rest. As you reached the room that had called out to you, you could see that there was already a group of people that had gathered around there. 

You frowned as you opened the door and took in the situation, which quickly made you understand things. As you saw the family standing in the room, their red faces and the tears running down their face and the doctors with the sad but still professional expression on their face you knew. You had been working here long enough to know how it was handled when one of the patients passed away. But the things was, your work day had ended and you had to head home, this part was going to be for the person who was going to take over your shift. You didn’t feel in the mood to deal with this right now. You felt another sting go through your stomach and you placed your hand on it before you made your way forward and got towards your colleagues. Then you finally got a good view on the woman in the bed. You realized she wasn’t one of your patients, but it was still horrible to see. She was a young woman and from her injuries you’d say that she had been caught in a car accident or something like that. She was so young, so beautiful underneath all those stitches and those bandages and you suddenly felt so sad.
