The feeling of his chest vibrating against your back was the most relaxing thing you had experienced in days. The soft melody resounded through your head as you tried to figure out what song he was humming. It was amazing that you could find pleasure in these kind of small things, things you had forgotten that mattered before. That was what he did to you, he made you realize that there were things far as more important than the things you had to worry about. It was during times like these that you found out that you actually needed these kind of things in your life as well. “You should bring your guitar next time, you know I like it when you play it for me.” You said as you opened your eyes and looked up at the sky. Autumn, It wasn’t exactly your favorite season of the year, but it wasn’t as bad as the winter. You hated cold and everything that had to do with it, snow and rain, storms and dark days. If the sun could only shine all year long, that would have been perfect. But you actually liked the sight of the leaves falling from the trees, having all different kinds of colors and filling the ground. It almost had something magical, and being with Baekhyun only made it even more special. “Why? So you can fall asleep like last time?” He joked, but by the sound of his voice you could see that he was coming from somewhere far away. You wondered what he had been thinking about before you had woken him from his dazed state. 

Unlike you he loved these kind of seasons, because he thought it were the times of the year that you could get the most out of them. He adored all the big changes in the nature and always took you for walk in the park or somewhere else he could admire the beauty of the winter. Sometimes you would mock at him because he was taking you out in the cold, but eventually you would enjoy yourself. Partly because you always seemed to enjoy yourself if you were around him. You sniffed at his comment and softly tilted your head in the hope that you could look at him, but the only thing you could see was the tip of his chin. It was a calm day in the local park, a place you never used to hang out anymore since you had been a small kid. But ever since you had met Baekhyun those kind of things had changed. Instead of going to expensive restaurants and fancy shops you actually liked to comes to these places, places where everyone would come. You snuggled a little loser against him and you felt how the hold he had around your middle tightened. Nothing felt as good as his embrace, it was a feeling that would never disappear. If he would ever leave you or if this would ever end then it would kill you. But those weren’t the kind of things you wanted to think about, you were only focussing on the fact that you were together now and that you were planning to stay with him as long as you possibly could. 

Even though that wasn’t what others were longing from you, what they wanted the most. But you weren’t here to live the life someone else had picked out for you, you wanted to live it the way you wanted to. You hadn’t made things very easy for yourself by falling in love with someone like Byun Baekhyun, someone who was so different from you. The two of you came from two completely different worlds, the complete opposite. But it had never stopped you from starting a relationship, though it surely hadn’t made things much easier for you. In the beginning you had been afraid of what people might think, but right now and now that you had been with him for such a long time you no longer cared. If they couldn’t endure it to see you happy then they had to look the other way, because you weren’t going to hide it from them. “How’s your dad doing? Does he like his new job?” You asked as you the back on his hand with your fingertips. You felt how he shifted underneath you and turned your head a little bit so that you could look at him. He had a slightly worried expression on his face, telling you that he wasn’t completely sure about what he was going to say. “I think he’s alright. He doesn’t really talk a lot about his new work, it’s almost like he’s not sure if this is what wants. It’s just that he knows that the doesn’t have any other choice than to take the job because he knows we need the money.” Each time he had to talk to you about his financial condition he seemed as if he wanted to have the topic out of the way as fast as possible. 

And how could you blame him for that? After all you had never had to worry about money since your parents had always had very well paying jobs. You had inherited a lot of ground from your grandparents and your parents were already working on the house they wanted to built on it for you. You hadn’t dared to ask Baekhyun yet if he wanted to live in it with you if it would be finished. It wasn’t like he was against your family for possessing that much money, but he definitely didn’t want to have anything to do with it. He didn’t want your help, even though you had offered it many times before. You felt sorry for him because he and his family always had to work so hard to get in enough money to get through the month, while you didn’t have any trouble with it at all. But even though Baekhyun wasn’t rich and he wasn’t wealthy, he still was everything you needed. He had made your life even more wonderful than it had already been by being with you. To see how much he loved to play music and how hard he had worked to gather the money he needed to buy his first guitar, it had made you open your eyes and see that not everyone had such a good life as you did. He had definitely learned you a lot during the months that you had been with him, a lot more than you had expected. Other people weren’t really happy about your relationship, especially not your parents. Your parents were convinced that he was only with you for your money and that he would never be good enough for you, his parents thought that you were a spoiled brad and that you were going to break his heart.
