A deep moan escaped from your throat, and even though they had always taught you not to make any sounds while waking up, you couldn’t help it. It was as if you were seeing stars, as if the universe was dancing in front of your closed eyelids, which was scientifically impossible. The darkness around you seemed to be spinning, as if it was a world on its own. A few calculations were quickly made as you sat there, which seemed to be on a harsh and cold floor. Your hands were tightly secured behind your back, stuck around a metal pole that sent cold shivers through your spine. As far as your ears allowed you to hear there were no signs of anyone else being close to you. There were no sounds of breathing or footsteps, which was good. There was a chance you could still use your unconsciousness as an excuse to the person who had tried to overwhelm you and mislead you. Obviously, he hadn’t just tried, but he had done just that. You made the promise to yourself that if you’d ever find a way to get untied from this stupid pole that you would kick his . He wouldn’t get so lucky next time. Any other things you could tell from sitting there? The left side of your face felt sticky and cold, telling you that fluid had been running down your skin not so long ago before it had dried up and had gotten stuck inside of your hair.

Slowly you opened one eye, not really sure about what to expect. Though, just as you thought you were all by yourself. There was sniff you couldn’t hold back as you stared around the barely light up room. Who would kidnap a person, just to leave them all alone in a space like this? There should always at least be one person who stays behind, just to make sure the victim wouldn’t escape. Who knew, miracles still happened these days. The rope around your wrists was firm and tied with a knot you had never seen before, making you clench your teeth in annoyance, because you were sure you weren’t going to be able to undo it. Quickly you focused your attention back on the space around you, knowing you’d have to gather as much information you could possible get in the short amount of time you had. You didn’t know when they’d come back for you, eventually someone would have to come and check if you hadn’t pissed yourself or if you needed something to drink. They had done enough effort to get you here, now they surely weren’t just going to let you die from dehydration. There weren’t any windows in the walls, and there was no way you’d be able to break through these walls once you broke free. A little end further away there was a metal stick, laying on one of the chairs. One of those who had left you here must have forgotten It when he took his break. On the complete opposite side of the room was a large door, which seemed locked in every single way possible. The layer of steal seemed to big to kick in, and as far as you knew there was no key in sight.

“This is just great. The best day of my life.” You groaned in anger as you laid your head back against the pole and closed your eyes, cursing inside of yourself. It was probably your own fault that they had caught you. But you had wanted to go out with your friends and pretend to be normal, even if it had been just for one day. Your father had told you to stay in, had told you that others were trying to find a way to get back to him and his gang for stealing something that didn’t belong to them. But what did you care? It wasn’t any of your business and even though your father had practically raised you with the same training as one of s, you weren’t one of them. Your mother had made your dad swear that he would never let you be a part of this dangerous environment, she wanted you to have the right to a normal life. At least one of your family members who understood. She would be so furious if she’d hear what had happened to you. A small part of you was feeling sorry for your father, knowing the storm that would blow through the house once she’d find out you were gone. It was just a matter of time before she would kill him, and then even his mafia skills wouldn’t be able to safe him. The sound of locks getting turned and twisted caused your heart beat to increase and you quickly shook your hair around your face like a curtain before dropping your chin against your chest and closing your eyes. Quietly you ignored the sharp stings that traveled through your head because of those sudden actions.

“It’s the perfect way to get back to them. Maybe she knows something, about where they keep it. Or we can demand them to give it back to us in exchange for the girl. It’s the best thing we’ve done in years.” It was clear that the voice of the man who spoke didn’t belong to someone with a high prestige in this group, he was begging for this person to like his plan, just so he would get a posi
