It had been two days since you had seen him now, and you didn’t know if you had to feel sad or happy about it. You felt sad because you had the feeling that actually you wanted to get to know this guy better, but on the other side you were happy that you didn’t have to force yourself to be friendly at him and to talk to him. So you figured that it was better for you if you wouldn’t see him again, or that you’d at least stay away from him as much as you could. You quickly ate a banana, your mom was out for work so she wasn’t here to make your breakfast, but you weren’t good at making it yourself, so you rather keep it simple. There wasn’t much you could mess up with peeling a banana was there? You threw away the skin into the trash can and washed your hands, before quickly grabbing your bag, realizing you were already late. 

It was Friday today, which meant that you only had to survive one more day in school this week and then you’r be able to recover from that for a whole weekend. No places to go, you could just stay home all weekend long without bothering that you’d run into anyone and that someone would bother you. How much you always longer for those three short evenings during the week. As soon as you opened the door you realized that you had forgotten your umbrella once again, and you had no idea where it was and no time to go and look for it. You groaned softly as you realized you’d be drenched before you’d arrive at school and it probably make you catch a cold again, but you didn’t have any other choice anymore. You closed the front door behind you and began walking to school in a rather fast pace, wishing that today the weather would be a little more happy instead. 

“Hey __________-ah! wait!” You heard behind you and even though you had only heard that voice once before, you already recognized it. Since you had no idea how to react your body stiffened and you froze on your spot, actually you wanted to keep walking and ignore him but you knew you couldn’t do that but you also didn’t want to turn around. Only to hear him calling you by his name was weird, there weren’t many people who called you by your name, because most people couldn’t remember it. Before you knew it he caught up with you and suddenly there were no more rain drops falling down on you. You looked up to see that he had been smarter than you and did take an umbrella. “You’re getting all wet.” He said, that same smile playing around his lips one again as hell looked down on you, who was already drenched. Quickly you shook your wet hair in from of your eyes and stared back down onto your feet, not knowing what else to do. 

“It’s okay, you don’t have to say anything. But let me at least walk you to school, so you won’t be sick tomorrow.” He said and you knew that this time he did expect a reply from you. It was hard for you to understand why he was being so nice to you, he didn’t even know you. But you didn’t see why you should sent him away, because after all he was right, if you’d walk out in the rain like that there was no doubt you’d be sick tomorrow. “Thanks.” You mumbled softly and he seemed to be content with that small word because then he started walking. Silently you walked next to each other, the only thing you could hear was the cars driving past you and the raindrops falling down on top of you. You were walking close to him, your arms touching from time to time to make sure none of you would become wet. It was weird to have someone with you who made you feel so comfortable while not saying anything, normally you always had the feeling that you had to talk to someone, that you had to say something, which would only make it worse. 

But around Baekhyun you didn’t feel as if you really had to say anything, the silence in between the two of you actually felt comfortable. The nice thing was that he didn’t even try to make you speak, and that he was quiet himself, just walking beside you, lost in his own thoughts. Suddenly you thought a little better about this moment then you had before. Did he know that you were going to school, well he probably did because you had a bag hanging on your shoulders which told everyone you were a student. As sneaky as you possibly could and while hoping he wouldn’t notice, you looked up and saw that there was a bag hanging on his shoulder as well. So he did have the same age as you, because he didn’t look as if he could be any younger than you were. Even though you had tried to do it very secretly, he had still seen you staring at his bag, so he chuckled softly which made your cheeks turn red again.
