When you woke up the pain was gone and you felt drained, numb and empty. It was as if you had slept for ages and you were still feeling tired. There was a pounding feeling at the back of your head, as if it was warning you for something. Without having any idea why you had the feeling that you didn't want to wake up, as if it would all be much better if you'd just keep your eyes closed and if you'd let everything pass you by. You were cold, even though you could feel several layers of fabric covering you up. There were some wet drips of sweat covering your forehead and from time to time you could feel a clothing pressing down on your skin. It made you aware that someone was in this room with you, that you weren't alone. The fact that the beeps that you could hear in the room were rather going fast which told you that you weren't at ease. 

The anesthesia products that were keeping you asleep and made that you couldn't feel any pain made that your mind was covered in a black smoke, which made it really hard for you to get through it and get yourself to wake up. Though the horrible dreams that you were having were almost pushing you over the edge of awareness. Sometimes you could hear muted voices near you, as if they were having a conversation with each other. One part of you said that you wanted to know what they were talking about, another one told you that you shouldn't care, that you didn't want to know what it was about. You were aware that if the last words you had heard before you had passed out, which you could still remember very clearly, had been right, that it was a very important detail that you were alive. An ectopic pregnancy wasn't something that happened to a lot of women, but it did to those who already had troubles getting pregnant. 

Actually woman who had problems with getting pregnant always had more chanced to loose their baby, and of course you had known this when you had started this whole adventure. But an ectopic pregnancy wasn't something you had expected, also not something you had seen coming, not even after experiencing the symptoms. An ectopic pregnancy meant that the egg did not get into the uterus but got nestled somewhere else. If they didn't notice it in time that could be very dangerous for the mother because it could cause internal bleedings if the egg got too big. You figured that was what happened to you and your baby. The grieve and the pain that you felt for the loss of your child wasn't something that could be solved by the medication people were giving you, in fact it only made it worse. The only thing it did was causing that your dreams got more realistic, that it seemed as if you were reliving that part over and over again, and it was horrible. 

That was what gave you the strength to try and open your eyes, which made you squeeze them back together tightly because the light in the room was too much for your eyes to handle. "_________-ah?" This time you could hear the voice which was coming from beside you loud and clearly. Of course you had always known that Baekhyun would be sitting beside you to guard over you, but it felt nice to heat his voice again after what had seemed such a long time. "Baby, can you hear me?" His tone was soft and sweet, like usual. You didn't hear anything inside of it that you normally didn't hear and it confused you. It made a sudden flame of hope blaze inside of you, the hope that maybe after all they had been wrong and that they had been able to safe you and the baby. You could feel your heart race in your chest at the thought and with that your eyes flew open. "Ssshhh, it's okay." Baekhyun mumbled as he hung his head in front of your eyes, making that you could see him. He could hear the fastening in your heartbeat since the monitor was telling him so and quickly tried to calm you down. 

As always a sudden calmness came down on you as soon as you looked inside of his eyes, which were still as deep as they had been before. But you noticed that pained look inside of them, the dark circles underneath his eyes, the devastated expression on his face and the unusual small smile around his lips. "Hey." He just simply said, as if he was greeting you at a normal occasion. He brushed a piece of hair out of your face which made his fingers brush slightly against your skin. Then his placed his hand on your cheek and his thumb caressed you carefully, while he kept on staring into your eyes. "I'm so happy you're finally awake, you've been asleep for two days.
