“Come on babe! This is going to be so much fun!” Baekhyun said excitingly, he was completely in his element, with his friends around him, his girlfriend by his side and all the costumes surrounding him. You didn’t quite understand why you had decided to come here in the first place, because you remembered that you hadn’t felt like going at all. From the moment he had started talking about this party you had disliked the thought of having to spend a whole night over here. But Baekhyun had begged you to go with him, and who were you to say no to him now that he finally had to some time to spend with you? Even though you wouldn’t be able to have him all to yourself because his company was here as well, all s and his managers, his friends. But at least you were able to talk to him and hold his hand all evening, to be by his side and to be a part of his world. 

The first part of the evening hadn’t been as bad as you had imagined it to be. It was a halloween party, even though it wasn’t halloween at all… Everyone was dressed in all different kind of costumes, some people you didn’t even recognize until they told you their names, that was how well they had covered themselves up. You had chosen for a nice costume of a princes, a crown shining on your head with your hair falling over your shoulders in waves, a light make up covering your face and a dress hugging your body. Baekhyun had picked out a costume of a pirate, and even though you hadn’t really liked it in the beginning, you must say that he looked really handsome in it. People were friendly already getting a little bit drunk but over all they were very kind and you had been able to talk with a lot of them already. 

But you didn’t let Baekhyun leave you, you made sure to spend the night by his side and if he left for a second then you made sure to spend it with s or the people you knew. There were so many people here that you felt surrounded, as if you were in the middle of a crowd. If Baekhyun stayed with you then everything would be fine, but if he’d leave you then you’d feel lost and alone. These people were all different from you, they lived in a different world, and though you liked them you weren’t sure if you wanted to be left alone with them. “I swear it going to be fine, I’ll stay with you the whole way.” He said, grabbing your hand and giving it a tug, trying to convince you. You bit your lip, trying to no give in to his pleads, but knowing that you weren’t far from that anymore. Most of the time, if Baekhyun wanted something from you, no matter how crazy it was and he’d only ask it sweet enough, he’d always get it. 

You looked up at the big house in front of you and thought about your options. You knew that he’d never let you go without going in at least once or without even trying. But you had never been a fan of dark houses or places, with strange people running around din it and popping out out of nowhere, planning to scare the crap out of you. All you wanted was to spend some more time in the big party room, have some more drinks and then finally go home. But the puppy eyes in front of you and the pouting lips prevented you from that and you could see his other friends standing at the entrance, waiting for your answer. “Fine. But if you leave me…” Baekhyun made a little jump of joy and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you against his chest. You huffed as from his sudden attack your crown slipped from your head and your hair fell in front of your face. 

“Of course not _________-ah! I’ll stay with you until we’re back out. You’ll see that it won’t even be as scary at all!” Seeing how happy you made him just by joining him and a little smile covered your face as he started to pull you towards the others. Chen was having a huge grin on his face as you two came closer and nudged your arm with his elbow as he spoke. “Make sure not to scream to heart, I don’t want to be deaf if we get out.” He joked and you shot him a glare, but still clenched your hand around Baekhyun’s. You could feel your heart beat fasten and your hand get sweaty as soon as the first people stepped inside of the haunted house. Suddenly you completely forgot why you had agreed to this and your feet just stopped moving, as if they were glued onto the floor. Baekhyun shot you a questioning look as he noticed that you didn’t move along anymore and tugged at your hand once again. 

“Come on ________-ah, they’ll leave without us.” He said and you tried to pop out a convincing  smile while demanding your legs to move. You had already said yes, you couldn’t back out anymore now. You watched how the door got closer and closer and suddenly they closed behind you and you were surrounded by darkness, you two were the last once to join in. The fact that you were the last one didn’t please you at all, now they could attack you from behind and then you wouldn’t even see it coming.
