“But you said we’d stay home today.” You wailed as you held the phone next to your ear, even though he was silent, you could still hear him chuckle. Baekhyun had promised you that you’d spend a lazy evening with each other tonight with a lot of cuddling. You were dressed in a sweatpants and a much too big shirt as a preparation for that and now he decided to change the place once again. “Can’t we go out another time?” You asked, hoping that you would be able to convince him to spend tonight at him. You weren’t into going out anymore, you were so tired. Baekhyun started whining over the phone and you knew you had already lost, you couldn’t fight against his pleads. “Oh come on _________-ah! Who knows when I’ll have a free night again? Maybe it’ll takes months. Let’s just have fun tonight, you and me.” The way he said it was so sweet and you sighed heavily into the phone, pretending as if you were annoyed by this. 

You had no idea why he suddenly wanted to go on a date with you this urgently but at the other side it was so cut of him that he wanted to spend his free evening with you and wanted to make something special of it. Even though you and Baekhyun had already been dating for three years now, dates with him would never get boring. There would always be something that made your dates special and you would always remember them. He was right, he had a busy schedule and since his next promotions would start soon the chance that he would be too busy to visit you would be big. Maybe you should just let him drag you to where he wanted to go and enjoy your evening. Beside, as long as you could spend time with him and be with him you didn’t mind where you were that much. As long as he was there to be your company everything would be fine. 

“Alright then, but you’ll have to make up for this Byun Baekhyun.” You joked and were surprised when you heard his nervous chuckle on the other side of the phone. Was he hiding something from you? “I surely will babe, I’ll see you in a bit, be ready!” Then he hung up and you were sure that was because he was afraid you had sensed something and that if you hadn’t that he was afraid that if he’d talk to you longer that you would. Why would he be nervous about this date? Were you going to do something which you hadn’t done before, which was almost impossible since in the past three years you had done so much already. Maybe he had planned something of which you knew you wouldn’t like it, that was possible. You groaned as you pushed the thoughts off and lifted yourself off the couch. Actually you didn’t want to get changed, you felt so comfortable in your much too big clothing. But it was clear you couldn’t go like this. 

You decided to take a quick shower to rinse off the horrible smell that surrounded you before getting yourself into your red dress. It was something you’d only wear on special occasions and you hoped you hadn’t made the wrong choice in clothing. If you were going to do something active you would regret this so badly. But you wanted to impress your boyfriend and you knew he would be blown away by this outfit. He loved the color red on you, every time you’d wear this color he wouldn’t be able to keep himself in and he’d always give you a lot of compliments. He owned you those tonight since he had dragged you out of your comfort zone. Before grabbing your bag to check if you had all your stuff with you, you made sure to program that movie you wanted to see so badly tonight, the one you had planned to watch with Baekhyun if he hadn’t decided to throw all of those plans out of the window. 

You made sure your hair looked okay and got into a pair of nice and comfortable heels. Sometimes you were still able to surprise yourself because even though you had looked like a mess only thirty minutes ago, you had still been able to make something of it. You looked quite good, better than you had expected and you hoped Baekhyun would notice. A knock on the door woke you up from your trance and you skipped towards the door as quickly as your heels would let you. You were surprised when you pulled open the door and saw your boyfriend standing there. It wasn’t like you had expected someone else but his looks weren’t something you had expected. He was wearing a white shirt and a nice black pair of pants. His hair looked flawless and you were so happy he wasn’t wearing a tie. Suddenly you felt underdressed standing in front of him like this and you were so happy you had decided to get changed. 

“Babe, you’re looking amazing.” He said as he took a step forward and wrapped his arm around your waist. You shook your head while eyeing him, not knowing what to say. Baekhyun wasn’t someone who liked to get dressed up and especially not if he wasn’t working. He loved to wear his favorite pair of jeans and comfy shirt but instead he had chosen for this tonight. Where the hell was this guy taking you? He must have seen the confusion and curiosity all over your face since he chuckled playfully before sliding his hand in yours and lacing your fingers together tightly. “You’ll see it if we get there. Now let’s go!” He sounded excited, but that little hint of nervousness was still there. You had no idea what was going on and no idea where he was taking you and it was making you a little stressed. Why was he being this secret about everything? Still you didn’t ask anything and decided just to wait like he had asked you to.

“You wore this dress on purpose right? You know how much I love that color on you.” He said with a whining voice while touching the shoulder strap of your dress slightly. You rolled your eyes at him but couldn’t deny that you hadn’t chosen the color with a reason. “You may be lucky though, I almost decided to wear jeans. Since you’re so dressed up it’s a good thing I didn’t push that through.” He laughed at your words and guided you into the car, opening the door for you like a real gentleman. “My lady.” He said playfully while wiggling his eyebrows at you and you hit his shoulder while giggling and getting in. Maybe this would be a nice evening after all, even though you weren’t going to spend it together with your wonderful couch. While you buckled up he stepped in at the drivers side and fastened his seatbelt as well. Then he started the car and drove off, it was too late to go back now. 

“I’m sorry I changed tonight’s plans baby but I’m sure you’ll love what I planned for you.” He said mysteriously and with every word he said you grew more curious. Normally he wouldn’t be able to hide his date ideas from you just because he would be so excited. But it seemed like something about today’s plans were so secret that he wouldn’t say anything about it at all. “Where are you taking me Baek?” You wailed, looking at him from where you were sitting. You pouted at him, hoping it would convince him enough to say something. He looked at you for a brief second before pointing his eyes back onto the road and squeezing his hands around the wheel. “I can’t tell.” He said and you frowned at him. Why was he being like this all of a sudden? You are sure it had something to do with the fact why he was being this nervous. Knowing that he was keeping something from you made you nervous as well and in your mind you started to think about all different kind of scenarios. 

“Yah, stop thinking! You won’t be able to figure it out anyway.” He tried to laugh it away but you could see he wasn’t himself tonight. He was more tensed than he normally was and he seemed to be paying more attention to your facial expressions than he normally did. It didn’t matter what was about to happen, it was clear that he was scared that it would go wrong and you felt your heart beat faster. What was he going to do to you? He stopped the car and you looked around, trying to find out where he had brought you. When he laid his hand on top of yours he was able to make your gaze go back to him, though you had a hard time not looking around. “I’m afraid you can’t look.” He said with an apologetic smile and your eyes
