“You’re still slow ___________-ah!” Chen joked at you before you walked over to the open spot. You rolled your eyes at him and didn’t take it too personal, after all he was a good friend of yours and he didn’t mean it in the wrong way. He just like to make fun of you, but after having to live with them for such a long time, you had grown used to it. “It takes some time to show up pretty, that’s why you’re always done so fast.” You threw back at him, making the other chuckle while you poked his shoulder. He sniffed at you and didn’t say anything, but you could see that he was trying to hold back his smile. You knew that he was proud of you, the even though you were the only girl surrounded by twelve men, you were still able to stand up for yourself. “Okay, enough bickering you two, let’s go home.” Suho said and no one dared to argue with him. Everyone knew that he was the leader of your pack, so he was the strongest one. You didn’t want to get into a fight with him, because there was no guarantee you would make it out alive. 

While you walked home you studied the backs of the guys who were with you. It had been a very long story how you had ended up with these men, but they had saved your life and you still thanked them every day for taking you in in their group even though they hadn’t been responsible for you. You had only been a child when they had found you, even though you didn’t age and you had been twenty when they had found you. But you had had the mental age of a kid, because no one had ever thought you how to be an adult. The transformation had damaged you in a way that no one understood, sometimes even your friend couldn’t figure it out. But they did understand that it had been a horrible time for you. They had all had someone with them when they had turned, but you had been all alone, without anyone to take care of you and without anyone to tell you what had been happening to you. When these guys had found you, you had been hopeless, begging for someone to help you. 

It had been Chanyeol who had found you and who had taken you with him, inviting you to this warm house full with strangers. But they had all accepted you, as if you were a part of their pack and no one had ever shut you out. These guys were important to you, and you knew that they felt your loyalty and love for them, it was an instinct. They had saved you, and now you owned your life to them. It was weird to think that even though you were wolves, you still walked through the woods in your human forms. That was because you didn’t want to scare any of the people. You had to be careful with what you did, because after all no one knew that you excited and you would like to keep it that way. There were more of you, but they lived elsewhere, two packs couldn’t share the same town. This was your territory, there was no other pack who had to be here but yours. The woods over here were very pleasant, with lots of animals to haunt for and lots of space to have fun and run freely. This place was perfect. 

You all lived together in one big house, you were the only one who had a separate bedroom, since you were the only girl. The boys respected your privacy and even though you were the only girl, they had lots of respect for you in person as well. They took care of you and they protected you, they treated you as if you were their little sister and everyone knew how protective big brothers could get over their little sister. The fact that there were twelve of them, didn’t make it much easier. “You’re quiet tonight, everything alright?” Xiumin came to walk next to you and you smiled at him. He immediately sensed if something was wrong with you and unlike others, he didn’t mind talking to you about feelings and stuff. It was great, if you had something girly to talk about you could always go to him with your problems, because you knew he was willing to listen to every idiotic thing you had to say. “No, I’m fine…” You said, but while saying that your eyes wandered towards another boy walking in front of you. 

He was happily talking to Lay, he seemed very enthusiastic about something as he used his hands to clarify what he was saying. As always he had no idea your eyes were pointing on him, he had no idea you were staring at him. You were also quite sure he had no idea about your feelings for him, even though sometimes they seemed so obvious. Of course you loved every single one of them, they were your family. But you had never seen him like your brother, he had always been a little bit more than the others, he had always had that little bit extra. Xiumin seemed to understand what was going on and he hummed beside you before chuckling and shaking his head. He was one of the only people who knew about the crush you had on Baekhyun, because talking to him was just too easy. Before you knew it you had already told him everything, even without planning to. But he hadn’t made fun of you, he had just listened to you. And afterward he hadn’t told you that it was a bad idea though he also hadn’t thought of it as a very positive thing. He had just accepted it, just like he had accepted everything else. 

You looked at him and you found him looking at Baekhyun, like you had been doing a second ago. “Do you think he’ll ever figure it out?” It wasn't easy to have a conversation that was in between the two of you without anyone else hearing it. It was a fact that your hearing was much better than that of humans, and that even the smallest whisper of a normal person seemed like a scream to you. But you talked as soft as you possibly could, knowing that the others were too busy or tired to pick up your conversation. “I don’t think so, for a wolf, he is kind of blind. He doesn’t notice anything unless you make it very clear.” Xiumin said and you pouted before realizing he was right. You had been trying to make him notice your feelings for him in every possible way now without directly telling him, but he hadn’t figured it out even once. Maybe he just didn’t want to figure it out, maybe he just thought of you as a friend, as his little sister and he didn’t return your feelings. Maybe he had been ignoring your feelings just so that he didn’t have to hurt your feelings and didn’t have to reject you. 

The conversation between you and Xiumin came to an end as you were both lost in your own thoughts. The pack became a little bit uneasy, you knew you weren’t the only one with these kind of feelings. A bad feeling was coming over you, your stomach was getting upset and you rather wanted to turn around and ru
