“Great game girls!” Your trainer came up to you and you could see she was happy, even though you hadn’t achieved what you had wanted today. It was a fact, during the last minute the boys had scored the final goal, and had made the match end with a score of 3-4. You had knocked very hard to keep up with them, but the truth was that they were just incredibly good and that they had deceived to win. Not that you hadn’t played well, you were glad that you had tried so hard and that you had still been able to score 3 points today, of which you had made 2. Even though you weren’t thrilled that you had lost, you were still happy. You had scored two point today, you had been captain and you had shown people that you were more than just the silent, tastelessness girl people thought you were. 

You took the water bottle from Amber as she handed it to you and took a big gulp. You hadn’t noticed how hot you were and how much you were sweating till now. Well then, you had as well given your everything today, so that explained a lot. Many people had thought that you’d just loose today but you had been able to keep up with the guys, which had surprised many people, as well in the public as those who had been playing against you. Some of them even came up to you to surprise you with the great performance, telling you that you had deserved to win just as much as they had. It felt good, being noticed and being told that people had underestimated you and were finally seeing that you were talented as well and that you deserved it to be seen and admired. Today would be a day you wouldn’t forget soon, it was one of the most fun and amazing games you had ever played. 

The teams gathered in front of their dressing rooms, planning to get changed. You pounded your feet on the floor in the hope to get most of the ground and grass from under your shoes, the last thing you were into was cleaning your shoes when you got home. “We should go out tonight, have some fun.” Kayla said and everyone seemed to agree with that, you all thought you had deserved a great night out, just having some fun. “We could all go together though!” When you turned around to see who that came from you could see that it was Suho, one of the strikers of the team. The thought of the two teams becoming friends with another made you feel excited. You had never been able to get close to many guys, the fact that you had the chance to talk to more than one of them tonight made you feel nervous. “Great idea, we’ll meat up outside.” And so it was arranged, seemed like you were actually going to have a night out with the most popular and hottest guys of the school tonight. 

When you went inside you suddenly noticed that you had to go to the bathroom, you must have missed that because of the adrenaline that had been rushing through your veins for 90 minutes long. But now that you were finally relaxing you could feel how full your bladder was and that you couldn’t hold it much longer. “I’m going to the bathroom.” You yelled back and ran back but closed the door behind you, knowing they would get angry at you if you wouldn’t. You ran back outside without looking where you were going, and regretted that almost immediately. When your chest hit a hard bag which threw to towards the floor you wished you had looked where you had been going, then your wouldn’t have been hurting that much. When the guy turned around you had the urge to curse, but you were able to hold yourself in. 

“Are you okay?” Baekhyun asked while studying your features. You could feel your cheeks turn red as you saw his eyes glide over you like that. “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m sorry for attacking you, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” He chuckled and shook his head and stuck out his hand to you. You stared at it for a second before laying your hand into his and letting him pull you up. “It’s okay. Next time, just don’t attack from the back, that’s mean.” You thought he was being serious and you felt the need to apologize again but then he laughed again and flashed you one of those breath taking winks again. “Great game today. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to run this hard.” You smiled at that, content that he was congratulating you instead of reminding you that they had beaten you. “Normally we’re even better, I guess it was because of the wind…” You said sarcastically and he chuckled but seemed amused by what you said. 

This moment had made you forget for a while how big your urge was to pee so you excused yourself. “I’ll see you in a while.” He said, reminding you of the fact that as soon as you had changed you’d all go out together and that he was going as well. You nodded and waved at him before turning around and racing over towards the bathroom and locking yourself in one of the toilets. It was so weird to think that this had all started with a pencil. Baekhyun had said more to you today then he had said to you in a whole year that he had been sitting beside you in class. You didn’t understand what had changed all of a sudden, what had made him get interested in you. Maybe Kai was right, maybe you did have a chance. Suddenly you had the urge to do a happy dance and to jump up and down like a three year old who had just gotten a candy. If you’d have a chance with Baekhyun then your biggest dream would come true. 

You quickly finished because you didn’t want the other having to wait for you and went over to the sink to wash your hands. You were so caught up in your own thoughts that you hadn’t noticed someone else being in here with you and so you almost hit the ceiling when the door of the toilet next to yours flew open with a loud thud. You turned your head and saw Minzy walked over to you, as always she wasn’t even looking into your direction. She was one of the most pretty girls in school and it was clear that she had a big crush on Baekhyun, even though she was trying to hide it. She could get every guy she wanted but the only guy she was really into, always ignored her and didn’t even answer het texts. It was a big gossip in school that Minzy did everything to catch Baekhyun’s attention but that he wasn’t interested in her what so ever and just ignored her. It sounded painful if you knew that Minzy was the girl who always got what she wanted. 

“I saw you were talking to Baekhyun.” She said, her voice cold as always. You had heard it before, but it had never been straight towards you, she had never had the need before to talk to you. Through the mirror she looked at you, her eyes turned into evil slids as she applied a new layer of lip gloss on her already shiny lips. You didn’t understand what her problem was, she was so pretty, it wasn’t like you were a thread towards her. “Just so you’d know, Baekhyun would never be interested in a looser like you. He likes someone with style, someone who is at least a little bit pretty and who isn’t spastic when she has to say something in public. If you’re trying to catch his attention, you’re waisting his and your time. The only reason why he would possibly talk to you is because he feels sorry for you, because he pities you since your a loner.” 

Even though you knew you shouldn’t pay any attention to what she was saying, her words cut through you like knives and made your heart feel heavy inside of your chest. How could people be this cruel? Then she put her stuff back into her beauty bag and turned around to look at you. That plastic, fake smile was back on her face and she blinked her eyes at you sweetly. “I can see that you got my message? As long as we understand each other sweetheart, everything will be fine. If not, I will turn your life into a living hell.” She threw her hair back sensually before turning around and walking out of the bathroom, her shaking from left to right as she did. You bit your lip as you looked at her back, disappear back into the school building. You knew you just had to ignore her, she was just jealous because Baekhyun was talking to you while he was ignoring her. But you couldn’t help but realize that her words were true. 

Baekhyun would never talk to you because he was interested in you, you weren’t even his type. All the girls he had dated before you were much prettier than you were, they were all so different from you. So why would he suddenly be into someone like you, a nobody, a looser? He could get so many better girls than you, it would be a shame if he would ever date someone like you. You wiped away your tears from your cheeks and ran back towards the dressing room, making sure that no one would know what had happened in here. You quickly got changed and ignored the questioning looks that everyone was shooting you. You knew that you had been happy because of the great match you had played, but that happiness was far gone by now. Kayla came up to you at the moment you were pulling your shirt over your head and shot you a concerned look. “Are you okay? Did something happen back there?” She asked while combing away the pieces of hair that has escaped out of your ponytail. 

Kayla was such a sweet girl, one of the little amount of them that was actually nice to you and that you liked as well. You thought you could call her your friend, because you felt close enough to her for that. “No, nothing happened, everything’s fine.” You said and pushed the last of your soccer clothes into your bag and zipped it up. You weren’t into it to hear someone else tell you that you didn’t have a chance with Baekhyun, that you just had to forget about it, because you knew that was what she would do. “Well, okay then.
