You had no idea what woke you up, but all of a sudden your eyes jumped open and you were wide awake. You stared up at the ceiling, and you heard the regular breathing of the person beside you. Slowly, sure not to wake him up, you turned your head to look at him. Baekhyun was sleeping peacefully beside you. His face was an image of pure serenity, his lips sightly apart and every sign of worry whipped from his handsome features. His hair was a mess, tangling together on top of his forehead, and one of his arms was crossed on top of your waist, leaving a soothing weight on top of you. The two of you had a busy day, you went shopping for some clothes to wear to your sister’s wedding. She’d been telling you to get a dress for weeks now, constantly bothering you that you should make some time in your busy schedule to look for the perfect clothes to wear to the party. Of course you knew you’d only see your sister get married once, and you knew this was important to her. She’s always dreamt of the perfect wedding with her prince charming, and that meant that everything, even the smallest detail had to be incredible. You didn’t dare to tell her no, because you were sure she would do the same thing for you. So you went shopping two weeks ago, didn’t find anything and went back last week, just to return empty handed again. 

Turned out that finding the perfect dress which fitted to your taste as well to hers was one of the hardest thing you had done in your life. She disliked everything you chose from the shelves, and you hated the clothes she picked out for you. It had taken you ages to find something you both liked, but eventually you’d managed to buy a strapless dress, in a beautiful salmon pink dress which she approved. Baekhyun thought it was crazy that you thought so highly of what she thought, but you knew that she would do the same for you. If everything went right then your sister would only get married once, and to be honest, your brother in law was quite great. He treated her well and he was nice to the others of the family, so you hoped that they could stay together. Besides, you weren’t sure if your parents would help her again if she would mess this up, because this wedding cost a fortune. Anyway, after walking from one store towards the other you’d been exhausted when you finally found the dress. The two of you had gone straight home and had dropped down on the couch to watch a movie. You must have fallen asleep there, because you couldn’t remember going to bed. He must have carried you up here after noticing you had dozed off. Immediately your heart warmed for him all over again. 

You had been together for a little over two years now, and your relationship with Baekhyun was amazing. You’d met at university, through mutual friends. You had immediately felt attracted to you, but he hadn’t given into it instantly. It had taken the two of you a few months before you became closer. You knew there wasn’t any other guy who could make you any more happy then he did. He was sweet, caring, but also fun and teasing. Sometimes you felt as if he was your best friend, the one you could tell anything and you could just have fun with. Things were great between the two of you and you hoped that maybe one day you’d be able to have wear a ring around your finger as well, that he would propose. When you two talked about it he seemed as if he did want to ask you one day, as if he was planning on making you his wife and just thinking about that made you feel excited. One day it would be you who would tell your sister to buy the perfect dress while you were the one walking down the isle. Your lips curled up as you stared at the ceiling, knowing that he would make the perfect husband one day, and an amazing father to your children. It was insane to know that man like him still existed in a world like this, and you knew that you would never let him go again. Slowly you closed your eyes, knowing that with this peaceful feelings locking in your heart you surely would be able to fall back asleep if you tried hard enough.

Normally he wasn’t that jerky in bed, knowing you were sleeping beside him and he wouldn’t want to wake you.
