“Baek, you’re my best friend. Isn’t it normal that you help me find a guy as well? I mean, you have your girlfriend but who do I have?” You asked, putting another layer of mascara onto your lashes to make sure they were making your eyes look bigger and ier. You had asked him to go to this party with you tonight, but he wasn’t being really catchy about it, even though normally he loved to go out. He stared at you with his arms crossed over his chest as he eyes you up and down, but till now there wasn’t anything special to see. It was Friday, which meant it was a normal school day just like every other one. “You have me.” He stated but you threw him a look which told him that he shouldn’t act like that. It wasn’t nice from him to say things like that, but of course he couldn’t know that it bothered you. 

You and Baekhyun had been best friends for years now and you had developed a little crush on him over time. But even though you had really tried to make him notice, it hadn’t worked because now he was dating someone else. She was a girl from his class and even though you had never met her you could already tell that you wouldn’t like her. Maybe that was why you didn’t want to personally meet up with her, because if she’d turn out to be a sweet and amazing girl than you would hate yourself for hating her without having a good reason other than that she was dating the guy you liked. Baekhyun had asked you some times before if you wanted to go out with the two of them, but you had always friendly refused, you weren’t really jumpy to be the third wheel, then you’d rather just stay home. You were happy for him, that he was happy and that he was spending his time with someone he loved, but you didn’t want to get involved too deeply in this. 

“But it’s not like I can date you, you have a girlfriend.” You threw your make up to the side and grabbed your coat, pulling it over your red sweater and seeing that it fitted perfectly with you white skirt. You had your hair put together in a high ponytail and you were totally aware of the fact that you were looking cute as hell. Even though you were head over heels for Baekhyun and he would probably be the only guy you’d love, you still didn’t want to be left behind and if that meant that you had to find someone else to spend your time with then you’d look for someone like that. There would be other guys out there right? It was a big world. There were many boys at your school who were interested in you and you were aware of that, but never you had accepted one because none of them had been close enough to be like him. You were someone who knew what you wanted, but this time you also knew that you weren’t able to get it. “So if I wouldn’t have a girlfriend you would date me?” 

You could hear the teasing sound in his voice but you ignored it. Also you tried to ignore how your heart started to beat faster and a blush started to crawl over your cheeks. It was horrible to hear him talk like that because actually he was totally right. If he wouldn’t be dating right now then you wouldn’t waste any time anymore and you’d immediately confess to him, but now you couldn’t do that. It wouldn’t be fair to him and it wouldn’t be fair to his girlfriend, so you kept everything to yourself. “Don’t be such an idiot Baek.” You said throwing a shirt at him that you didn’t need any time soon. He caught it without any troubles but the look in his eyes was one you couldn’t describe. It was almost as if he was disappointed by your answer, but you decided not to think about it. “Because after all you are dating.” You reminded him and he nodded, placing your shirt on one of the chair in your room. It was weird, because he didn’t talk a lot about her, sometimes it seemed as if he forgot about her and you didn’t really know what made him fall for her in the first place, she didn’t seem like his type at all. 

But who were you to get involved and to say something mean like that? It was his life and if he decided to date her then he had to do that and you couldn’t do anything to stop that. Together you walked out of your room and got towards the front door, where Baekhyun grabbed his bag which was standing in the hall and then he walked after you so you could lock the door. “Oh, Lay asked me to grab a drink with him after school so I won’t be there when school is over okay?” You said and you could feel him looking down on you as you grabbed your phone and checked a late text you had received from one of your friends. “Do you like him?” There was something sharp in his voice that made you look up at him and you could see he was kicking against a stone, keeping his gaze on it so he didn’t have to look you the eye. “Well, he’s a nice guy. It’s just that we haven’t really talked that much yet so I don’t know him well enough to tell if I like him or not.” 

He hummed slightly and you realized it was better if you’d start talking about something else. It was frustrating though, he was always like that, getting annoyed when you talked about other boys or going out with someone. You just didn’t understand what the problem was and what he wanted, but you had also never asked it before. “How’s your girlfriend doing though, you haven’t talked about her in a while now.” You said and this made him look up at you, forgetting about his stone immediately. But he didn’t look as if he was happy about you asking him like a normal guy who was in love should. “Not so good, we’re fighting again.” He said and you shot him a sympathetic look, you hated it to see him like this. “Then what do you fight about?”
