“You have a really nice place.” You said, since you had no idea what else to say. It was weird to be in an unprofessional place with your professional teacher so you tried to stay as distanced as you could, though that wasn’t easy while being in his apartment. It wasn’t very big which made you think that he lived here by himself but that was kind of hard to believe. He was a young guy with a great job and he was handsome and smart, there had to be a girl who had won his heart by now. But there were no pictures of a girl, only those of his family and his friends. You waited for him while sitting on the couch, pressing your bag against your chest in the hope that you could hide from him how awkward you felt. “Thanks, I know it’s not very big but since I’m by myself I don’t need something that’s larger.” He explained and with that he confirmed your thoughts, so he didn’t have a girlfriend. Then why was he so hard to reach for all the other girls at your school. You had figured that that had been the problem, that there was already someone in his life but apparently you were wrong. 

To let him know that you understood what he said you nodded and watched him as he walked over to you with two glasses of water in his hands which he placed on the salon table in front of you. “Are you okay, you seem uncomfortable.” He said as he sat down beside you and eyed you. The fact that he was this close to you didn’t really make you feel a lot better, even though you had no idea why your body reacted like this. “I’ve just never been alone before in an apartment of a guy, that’s all.” You confessed and you almost couldn’t believe you had really said that. How you were able to talk to him so easily was a mystery to you, normally you would feel so socially awkward around boys that you didn’t even know what to say and no words would come out of your mouth, but he seemed to change that. “I’m sure that you’ve spent some time at your boyfriend’s home before.” He said it with a smile on his face, but you could hear the real question in what he said. “I don’t have a boyfriend.” While saying that you finally put your bag down next to your feet. Your voice was soft since it was quiet inside of the apartment. 

He stayed silent for a while as he looked at you and it took you some time before you were finally able to lift your eyes and look at him as well. It was weird to see him in another place than his classroom. He seemed like a normal guy and it almost was like the two of you were just spending some free time together at his place. It was as if you were just two people who knew each other instead of a teacher and his students, it felt really nice. Then he cleared his throat and grabbed the book which he had placed beside him on the couch before and placed it onto the salon table beside the glasses. When you were about to grab your own book he stopped you by placing one of his hands on your lower arm. A small gasp escaped from your lips and you hoped that he didn’t hear it. The way his touch seemed to warm up your skin surprised you, you had never felt such a thing before in your life. You were looking at his hand before you looked at his face to see what he wanted. “I think it’ll be easier if we use only one book. I’ve written my notes down in here as well so you can use them.” He said and you nodded, forgetting about your own book as his hand stayed onto your arm a little longer than necessary. 

Suddenly you felt really warm and you wondered if it was just you or if he was feeling like that as well. You were only wearing a top so there was no way that you were wearing too much clothes, maybe it was just hot inside of the apartment. He handed you a pencil and you wished he didn’t notice your pink cheeks, which would tell him how you were feeling. It was confusing, you had always thought that you had never been attracted to him in the kind of way that all the other girls were, but maybe that wasn’t true. He definitely did something to you, though you weren’t sure what it was. At first you didn’t even notice how close he was actually sitting next to you, but now it felt as if you could feel the heat radiate from his body to yours. As he opened the book on the right page you stared at his hands, hoping that you could get your mind back on what was really important. You were here so that you could keep your high grades and so that you would understand this part of the lecture, not to crush over your teacher. “It’s this part that you didn’t get right?” He asked and turned his head so that he could see your face.
