You leaved the kitchen with a plate full with cutted pieces of different kinds of fruit. It were his favorite ones, apple, banana, orange and kiwi. These says you always made sure he had a snack and you always gave it to him at the same hour of the day so he wouldn't get confused because that could make him really irritated or sad. You still hadn't figured out yet how you were going to handle this if you were at work but for now you had taken a few weeks off so you could care of your boyfriend. 

Normal girlfriends didn't have to take care of their boyfriends the way you did. Everyone who knew about your relationship with Baekhyun said you were getting yourself into something impossible and said that you were being stupid. But even if they said those things about you and him, you couldn't care less, it was none of their business. They knew nothing about the relationship between you and Baekhyun and the connection you two had. Until they had any idea what you were going through they should just shut up. 

And the only reason why they were like this was because Baekhyun was mentally disabled. You didn't understand why they made such a big deal of it, they pretended like he had a disease or something and they could be infected by it. Okay, Baekhyun wasn't normal anymore and couldn't do the things he used to do but that didn't change anything, you still loved him for who he was even though he couldn't really show his real self anymore towards you. But sometimes you noticed how Baekhyun still showed you that he was still his old self deep inside of him. 

You heard Baekhyun let out a frustrated groan out of the living room and ran towards him to check what was wrong. He was sitting on the couch, his legs crossed with an abacus in his hands. You sat down beside him and went with your free hand through his hair in order to relax him. "What's wrong baby?" You asked as you held a slice of apple in front of his lips, waiting for him to open his mouth. He shook with the object in his hands and played with the balls by moving them from left to right. Baekhyun loved colorful things and things that moved so you always made sure there were enoug things like that in the house. 

His eyes fell on the fruit in between your two fingers and he slightly moved forward before gripping it with his teeth and taking it into his mouth. "Were you hungry?" You asked and stayed silent, waiting for an anwser but that never came. You sighed as you knew what time it was again. Some moments Baekhyun would beg for your attention and care and he would be all over you, but others he just ignored you and he seemed to live in his own little world. And somehow it hurt you when he acted like that towards you even though you knew he couldn't help it. 

Baekhyun hadn't always been like this. When the two of you had started dating he had been a completely normal guy. But after a relationship of one and a half year he had had a car accident and it had damaged his brain forever. You hadn't been able to leave him back then because you didn't want him to go into a mental hospital
