“Be careful Min-ah!” You yelled into the direction of your daughter and she sent you an annoyed look. There was only one thing you didn’t like her to do in the play garden and that was climbing things, sadly enough for you that was the thing she liked to do the most. But wanting your daughter to do what she loved to, you shut your mouth and watched her while praying that she wouldn’t fall. You were a mother who really cared for her child, just because it was only the two of you. From the day you had found out you had been pregnant it had just been you and your little baby girl.
 

You had raised her yourself and now she was a wonderful girl of five years old and she was totally fine with the fact that she didn’t have a father. She had asked about him before and you had decided that you’d tell her everything, if she was old enough to understand. But it wasn’t the right time just yet. “Mommy look what I can!” She yelled happily and your heart was jumping in your chest when you saw her doing a trick on a swing. Almost you had ran over to her and you had gotten her off, before she’d actually get hurt, but something else caught your attention and you stopped from moving.

Your eyes moved towards something behind the swing and even though you knew you had to pay attention on your kid you couldn’t help but be distracted. There was a guy standing there, and he was staring at you shamelessly. The first thing you felt was awkwardness and uneasiness, you hated being stared at and to get that kind of attention from men. You had no idea why it was like that, it just happened. But there was something in his eyes that your body felt comfortable with, something that made it different when he looked at you then if someone else would.

‘Quit staring, you’re impolite.’ Your mind screamed to you and you quickly unlocked your eyes from the boy’s and focused back onto your daughter who had luckily amused herself safely by the slide. Yes, you had walked away, you had chosen for the short pain but with that you had hurt him even more. Even today, you still felt bad about that but if you could go back, you would do the exact same thing. Because you hadn’t hurt him because you had wanted to, but because you had had to, because that had been the best for him. You had never told him that you were about to leave, you had never given him the chance to stop you, because if you had then you wouldn’t have left. Your relationship with your ex had been everything you had ever been dreaming of, it had been a fairytale. But not every fairytale has a happy ending, and especially not this one.

Even though you still regretted al lot it today and still thought about it, you had never tried to make it right again. You knew that would only make things even more complicated. And that was not what Min needed right now, she needed a stable home and you wanted to give your daughter what she needed. This while story made you sad, and there was no way that you could forget about it, because Min was here to remind you about it. You took a quick look at your watch and noticed that it was getting kind of late. It was slightly getting darker, but since it was summer it was still quite warm outside.
