You were sitting in the restaurant, dressed up while wearing a pretty dress and wearing your best make up. You hadn’t looked like this since a very long time ago and it was the first time in months that you actually felt pretty again. For the past time you had been down and moody but there was someone who was still able to bring that old smile back onto your face, and that person was no one different than Lay. He was such a sweet guy and you had been friends for a while now. Everybody knew who Lay was, he was a great dancer and a part of exo. He was also very funny and very kind and not to forget that he was very good looking. You knew him for quite some time now and you weren’t going to forget anything he had done for you during the time that you had been at your lowest.
 

You had always noticed that Lay kind of liked you but he had never told you because you both knew back then that you were taken. Not such a long time ago you had had a boyfriend called Baekhyun and you had been very in love with him. But shortly you and him had broken up and you had both gone your separated ways. He didn’t have any time for you anymore because he was always busy with exo and you had been able to take that but only until a sudden level. When you hadn’t seen him for a month and he hadn’t called you for two weeks you had gone over to their dorm and you had had a huge fight which all the member had been able to hear. Then he had just bluntly told you that things weren’t the same anymore and that he didn’t have time for you anymore. That had been your cue and you had told him that he could have his space hut that he never had to come back to you again.

You still remembered the faces of his friends when you had walked out of the room, almost bursting into tears, but especially the one of Lay. He had seemed so angry at his friend for saying what he had said and for hurting you, but back then you hadn’t had the strength to react on it and you had just wanted to leave that dorm. They had all given you one last hug and it had taken you three weeks before you had been able to contact Lay again and to talk to him again. Let’s not forget that he lived with Baekhyun and that they were almost brothers of each other. The last thing you had wanted to do was drive them apart but ever since you and Baekhyun had separated the band in between him and Lay had never been the same anymore.

And even though he was so nice to you and he had everything a man could possibly give you, he still couldn’t fill the empty hole in your chest and he knew that. That was also why he never pushed you and always said that he would wait for you until you were ready. He was an adorable man, our lay and you would never be able to thank him for everything he had done to you. Maybe if he gave you enough time than you’d be able to forget the man who had hurt you and you’d be able to find a place for him in your broken heart. But you were so afraid, afraid that the same thing would happen again. Lay was part of the same band and so you were scared that he would also get too busy and he would also leave you behind and you didn’t know if you could handle that for a second time.

You leaned over in your chair and stared at your drink, the conversation you two had had just fallen still and you had no idea what to talk about next. Thinking about Baekhyun always made you feel a little bit gloomy and you couldn’t even help it. Why couldn’t you just forget about that guy and move on with your life like you wanted to. He wasn’t worthy anymore that you were stuck thinking about him all day and dreaming about him all night, he had broken your heart and you were supposed to hate him but you just couldn’t, no matter how hard you tried. Lay deserved someone who could love him with all her heart and you weren’t going to be able to give him that as long as that was still taking on so much place. Baekhyun was so selfish and he cared more about his career then about you, shouldn’t that be enough to make you want to punch him in the face?

When the dinner was over Lay asked you if he could walk you home and you happily agreed with that. After all his company was something that you really enjoyed and couldn’t get enough from, plus, you didn’t want to wal
