When he already has a girlfriend part 2/2
Baekhyun One ShotsA/N: Some people weren't very happy about the ending of my last story, so I decided to write another chapter.
I hope this makes up for it ^^
You looked up at the sky, finding the sun shining down on your face, a soft wind blowing in your hair. If you would sit here for too long you would probably get a sunburn, but for now that was the least of your worries. It was almost final week and you felt as if you hadn't done any effort in studying what so ever, it was a shame. So you put some music on and shove your sunglasses on your nose before diving into your papers and going through your stuff. Before you knew it, two hours had passed, but you were too concentrated on your work to check the time. It was only when the door opened that you looked up from your papers to see who had sneaked into the house. When you saw it was Baekhyun, you smiled softly at him. He returned your smile as he walked over to you and sat down beside you.
"I figured you'd be studying, so I brought you some ice cream. No one can concentrate on an empty stomach." He held the can in front of him while he showed off the two spoons he had brought in his other hand. "Thanks Baek." You said and both of you took a spoon and you started eating the ice cream together, which was wonderful during such warm weather. It was unbelievable to know that so much had changed over time. By now, you were both attending university and you had all gone your separate ways. But here he was, your best friend, eating ice cream with you in your backyard as if nothing had changed, but you both knew it had. Every since you had confessed your feelings to him on that horrible day you had had your breaking point, things had changed.
At first you had completely distanced yourself from him, knowing that if you really wanted to get over him that you needed some time alone. He had accepted that but you knew he had had a hard time with it, because he had wanted to support you, but he had known that that would only make things worse for you. But after a few months, things in his personal life had started to become a real mess, so you had shoved your feelings aside and you had gave him the allowance to come near you again. You had supported him as much as you could, and finally you had dropped the defenses you had build around you, finally you had felt brave and strong enough to let him crawl back in and take his previous spot in your heart.
Even though it hadn't been easy at first, slowly you had become best friends again and you had been able to push your feelings for him to the background, where they belonged. You had no idea if you were every going to loose them, and if you would ever stop loving him, but it was a start. You knew Baekhyun relayed on you, surely now that his parents broke up two months ago and not much later his girlfriend dumped him. He had gone through some rough times, and you were happy that you hadn't let him going through it all by himself. "How are you doing today?" You asked as you stuck another spoon full of ice cream in your mouth, wanting to eat it before it would be melted by the warm weather. He looked up at you from under his lashes and for a second you had to look away, afraid that his beauty would be too much for you to handle.
It was different now, you were able to control it, now you had the upper hand of your feelings and you weren't going to let them ruin your friendship again. When you looked back at him after a few seconds, you had already fixed your composure and you shot him an encouraging smile. "I'm fine I guess. My parents signed the divorce papers last night, I'm glad that is finally over." He said, a dark look in his face as he talked about his family. Their fighting had destroyed their band with their son, who didn't want anything more than this to just be over. You patted his hand, a small gesture but you knew that it meant a lot to him. "They love you Baekhyun, they are your parents." You said and he looked at you for a few seconds before sighing and taking another spoon if ice cream. "I know." He eventually said but it seemed like that was the end of that topic, he didn't like to talk about his parents anymore.
You looked up at the sky and you knew you had to ask him, because a good best friend would, even though it still felt awkward. "Have you still heard from Taeyeon?" It grew quiet as soon as you had dropped her name and you knew his heard was still pounding faster after hearing it, that he was still trying to get over her. He shrugged his shoulders and studied your face while he spoke, he still did that. "She asked me to bring over the sweater she left at my place. I'll take it to her next week, it's not like I still need it." You knew he had really loved her and that she had really hurt hi
