Everybody knew him, how was it even possible not to? Everyone talked about him, wanted to belong to his group of friend, wanted to look like him, wanted to be like him, or the boys did. You on the other hand were a girl, but you weren't an exception. Just like all the girls you knew around here, you liked him. He was the guy everybody dreamt of, each girl wanted to have the chance to hold his hand and to be called sweetheart by him. But just like most of the girls you knew, he didn't even know your name. The only reason why he could possibly know you was because he sat next to you in class, because the teacher had made him sit beside you. 

All the girls would shoot you dirty looks because you were the one sitting next to their crush. But you were sure they weren't afraid that Baekhyun would be stolen away from them by you, you were now competition for all the other girls in the school. You weren't a nerd and you also weren't ugly, and it wasn't like you didn't have any friends. You just liked to stay at the background, where no one would notice you and where everyone would leave you alone. But that wasn't the reason why people seemed to ignore you and pretended that you didn't exist. It was because you didn't dress like the normal girls dressed. 

You hated dresses and skirts, what was the fun of having to cramp yourself to sit down so no one would see your underwear? Make up was just a waste of your time, if you'd ever try to wear it then you'd look like a clown so you had just given up on that. For a very long time your mom was begging you to get rid of your glasses and to wear contact lenses, but why would you risk pocking out your own eye if you could wear glasses instead? And your hair, well wearing it in a ponytail was just so much easier because then you wouldn't have to keep it out of your face all day long. You found that the way you dressed was just easy, comfortable and safe, but other didn't seem to understand that. 

You had already given up years ago with trying to belong with the others and to be like that. You were not going to change yourself for anyone, if they didn't like you the way you were then it was their loss. Someday there would be a guy who'd notice you and who'd see through your clothes and behind your glasses, if that guy could only be Baekhyun. You had been crushing on him in secret for years now, but just like the others he seemed to avoid you. He would never see you like that and he wasn't interested in getting to know you, which did hurt you. 

You were sitting in class, trying to pay attention to the teacher and make notes of everything he was saying, which wasn't easy with the boy beside you making that much noise while searching through his pen case. Baekhyun wasn't the best in paying attention during classes and sometimes he annoyed you so much that you'd give him a glare. But as soon as he'd notice you looking at him you'd become that red and embarrassed that you couldn't even make yourself tell him that he had to be more quite. So you took a deep breath and ordered yourself to relax while you tried to ignore him. "Hey do you have another pencil, I lost mine I guess." The way his voice sounded next to your ear made you get goosebumps. Of course you heard his voice a lot, but it was still different if he was actually talking to you, because that was something that barely happened.
