Hyori sigh loudly, closing her eyes tight she then sadly look at here daughter.

“Yuri, please just listen to me. Go back to your father.” 

Yuri frown and shook her head firmly.

“I don’t want to. I want to be with you.”

“Me too Auntie,” Taeyeon butted in. Hyori frown and eyed Taeyeon then Yuri. The two younger girls chuckle loudly leaving the older girl confused. Calming herself down, Yuri then seriously eyed her mother.

“Mom, I don’t need his money, power and whatever he has. I will never be happy without you, how can you forgot that?” Yuri finally blurted her sadness, as she let her tears to fall too. She never like to expose her weakness to her mom. As much as she can, she wanted to be strong for the both of them but this time is different because they both seem to forgot what they all promise their plans and their dreams.

“Auntie, what will I do without your food?” Hyori and Yuri look at Taeyeon blankly while the latter continue pouting. Hyori giggle and pull the smaller girl into a tight hug.

“Call me Mom from now on.”

Taeyeon happily nod her head and peck the older woman’s cheek. Yuri smiled widely looking at her mother and her best friend. Looking at her mother’s tired and swollen eyes.

“Mom, I know I never ask about your past or about him. I’m confused, can you please tell me the truth?”

“Did he told you anything?”

“He called you a .” Yuri muttered while gritting her teeth.

Hyori smiled bitterly while pressing her lips to hold her lips from shaking. Taking a deep breath, Hyori then began narrating her past.

“My mom is one of their maids. My dad is their driver and because of that I always visit my parents in their mansion. His parents send me to school too so instead of spending my free time going out, I spend my time helping my mom. At first he never talks to me and I understand. Who am I anyway. Then one day he suddenly approach me and talk to me. He befriended me and that’s the start we got closer. He’s so sweet that sometimes he will ditch his friends just to spend time with me. I fall for him coz he’s perfect for me not because he’s rich. As we started dating, he is still the sweet boy I know and love until one day he dump me and told me that I was just a bet. Our relationship is only in my mind and that he never love me. Few days after that I realize I’m pregnant, I told him about you but he deny it and told me how desperate I am. He fired my parents and threaten to kill me and my parents if I told anyone about my condition. I was scared so we run away but seems like the destiny has its own plan. His parents know about my condition and force him to marry me. I can’t even dare to look at him coz he’s really scary. He’s really mad at me thinking I told his parents but God know I never did. Before we celebrated our first anniversary he already plan on how to get rid of me. I woke up one morning with a stranger beside me. He hire a guy to sleep beside me and he use that as a solid proof to everyone and to his parents that I am a and that I’m using him because of his money. He successfully convince everyone and his parents. So we fled again. Thats--thats my story.”

Yuri and Taeyeon hug the crying older woman, whispering comforting words.

“So Yuri is not an illegitimate daughter. Aish..those stupid journalist.” Taeyeon mumbled while shaking her head. Yuri ignore Taeyeon’s conclusion and seriously eyed her teary mother.

“Yul I want you to finish your studies so you can have a bright future. I know there are kids in your school bullying you coz I saw those bruises on your stomach. If they know that you are his daughter they will stop bullying you. I can’t give you those privilege and power Yul, so please listen to your mom and go back to your father. He can give you a better life.”

“Mom I can’t. I can finish my studies but never will I stay with him.”

“He’s the one who’s paying your tuition Yul. I ask him to support you or I’ll tell the truth to his new family.”

Yuri awkwardly chuckle while Taeyeon stood up and nervously tap her fingers in the bed.

“What?”

“Ahm...you see..After they beat you, I went to his press conference and ahmm.. I told everyone that I am his daughter.”

Hyori eyes widen and worriedly examine her daughter.

“Did he hurt you?”

“N--no.” Yuri shortly responded, lying again to her mother. The truth is after her uninvited appearance Yuri was held as a captive and keep in a abandoned building. That’s the official meeting they had as a father and daughter. Yuri was welcome with punches, kicks, whip and nasty words that rip off Yuri’s troubled heart. Sang woo made sure that Yuri was treated nicely, according to his liking. After the beating, he ask his men to grab the things he needed. He then drown Yuri into a barrel full of water until the tan girl past out. Now, how can Yuri tell that to her mother?

Hyori sigh in relief and hug her daughter tight, glancing at the agitated blonde girl. Hyori ask Taeyeon, “Did he hurt you Tae?”
