Junhyung’s POV

“HYUNG!!!!” Dongwoon shouted at me.

“Wae!?” I yelled back.

“Shut up please! Stop talking to the soft toy! I was asleep and then you woke me up!” Dongwoon grumbled in his sleep.

“Let’s go outside and continue our conversation.” I whispered to the Duckie.

“Hyung!!!” Dongwoon whined.

“Alright, alright. I’m sorry.” I mumbled, walking out.

Everyone else in the house was asleep. I sat at the balcony, enjoying the cold wind. Haneul said she would call, but she didn’t. Was she having so much fun that she forgot me?

“It’s nice here, isn’t it?” I said, putting the Duckie over the railings to let him look down.

“Why are you so dirty? She didn’t bathe you? How lazy.” I said, looking at it.

The supposedly white parts of the Duckie were now grey.

“Let’s go shower!” I yelled, running to the toilet.

I filled the bathtub with warm water and squeezed a little of our soap into the water, but my hand slipped, so half the bottle of soap went in. Oh well~

“SHOWER!” I yelled, pushing the Duckie into the water completely.

I scrubbed it nicely, making sure every part of him is clean.

“HYUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I heard Dongwoon shout.

 I dropped the Duckie into the water and dashed out.

“Hyung!!! PLEASE!!!” Dongwoon shouted.

“Okay okay~ I’m so sorry.” I pat his chest, soothing him back to sleep.

I went back to the toilet and sat on the floor as I answered the FaceTime call.

“Hi~” Haneul waved at me.

“I miss you!” I yelled.

“Why are you in the toilet?” She asked.

“Because everyone else is asleep and they are scolding me for making too much noise.” I pouted.

“Aww~ My poor baby.” She laughed.

“What took you so long to call!?” I asked.

“Sorry, I was out for the whole day.” She said.

‘BABY GIRL! HAND ME THE TOWEL!’ I heard someone yell. It was a guy’s voice!

“Who is that!?” I asked in surprise.

“Some .” She laughed as she got off the bed.

I watch her grab the towel from the cupboard and head to the toilet. A guy stuck out his head, revealing half his body. He was handsome and had a really great body. Haneul shoved the towel into the guy’s face. The guy shut the door and then come out awhile later with only his shorts.

“Sorry, Love. I forgot to introduce.” Haneul said.

‘COME HERE, IDIOT!’ She yelled.

‘What is it!?’ The guy asked, jumping onto the bed.

“Jace, this is Junhyung. Junnie, this is Jace.” Haneul said.

Oh, so this is the Jace that hugged and kissed her that time. So this is the Jace that is her ex-boyfriend as well as best friend. They have nothing with each other, but why do I still feel jealous?

“Hi.” I mumbled.

“Hi! Junhyung, right? Beast’s rapper. Wah~” He smiled.

I have to admit, he looks extremely attractive.

“Hello?” Jace said, waving at the camera.

“Ya. Hi. I’m Yong Junhyung.” I said.

“Really handsome. Tsk tsk~ Alrighty, I’m going outside. Baby girl, come out for waffle ice cream later.” He said.

“Bye Junhyung!” He smiled, waving at the screen.

“Put on a shirt!” Haneul laughed, throwing a pillow at him.

She seemed to have forgotten my existence.

“That’s Jace.” She said.

“Oh.” I mumbled.

“Are you, by any chance, jealous?” She asked, smirking slightly.

“Yes. I’m extremely jealous, problem?” I asked, showing her my frustration.

“Sorry.” She pouted.

“Why are you with him?” I asked.

“Why? Because we live together?” She said, as a matter of fact.

THEY LIVE TOGETHER!?

“WHAT!?” I yelled.

“My parents are always at work, so they trust him to look after me.” She said.

“How can you live together with a man!?” I yelled.

“Love, we’ve been living with each other since many years ago.” She said.

“And he calls you Baby girl! When I call you Baby, you scoff at me!” I shouted.

She laughed and sighed.

“That’s because I feel that Baby is really common. You call me Darling and despite it being old-fashion, I feel that there is a hint of closeness and specialness in it. I only allow you to call me Darling.” She said.

“But still! How could you behave so closely to another man in front of me?” I asked.

“Oh, are you suggesting I do it behind your back?” She asked.

“No! I mean! Aghh! Forget it!” I put the phone down, letting it face the ceiling.

She’s doing this on purpose, isn’t she? First she shocks me, and then she let me feel loneliness, and now jealousy. What next?

“If you’re not going to show me your face, I’m hanging up.” She threatened.

I reluctantly took up the phone and showed her my face.

“Come on, smile!” She said, making all sorts of cute faces.

How could I sulk at those?

“There, there! So much more handsome with that smile.” She said.

“Stop torturing me.” I mumbled.

“I’m not.” She said.

“You are!” I yelled.

“What’s that floating behind you?” She asked suddenly.

“What’s floating behind me?” I asked, turning back.

I saw the Duckie floating face down in the water.

“Oh my gosh.” I mumbled.

“No.. Not.. Nothing!” I stuttered.

“It looks familiar! What is it!?” She yelled.

“I was bathing him.” I mumbled, fishing out the Duckie.

It was dripping wet.

“YONG JUNHYUNG!!!! YOU DROWN MY DUCKIE!!!!!!!!!!” She shouted.

“I didn’t mean it!!” I shouted, squeezing the Duckie dry.

“YOU SQUEEZE IT SO ROUGHLY IN FRONT OF ME!?” She yelled.

“THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!?” I shouted back.

“Do it gently!!! You’re hurting him!” She yelled.

I squeezed the Duckie dry as gentle as possible while she stared at me.

“My hand hurts.” I mumbled.

“Actually, put him in the washing machine and spin dry him twice.” She said.

“What?” I asked.

“Spin dry him in the washing machine.” She repeated.

“You said I hurt him when I squeezed him too roughly, and now you suggest spinning dry him?” I asked.

“He’ll never dry at the speed you’re going.” She said.

“Are you fooling around with me?” I asked.

“No.” She said, seriously.

After spending so much time trying to squeeze him dry as gently as possible, she simply asked me to use the washing machine? If this isn’t fooling me, then what is!?

“Have you been eating well?” She asked me as I slumped onto the sofa.

“No~ How can I eat without you around?” I said.

“Awww~ So sweet, but are you that lonely?” She laughed.

“You don’t want to know how lonely I am.” I said.

“I miss you.” She said.

“Me too~” I pouted.

“Okay, I’m hanging up.” She said.

“WHAT!? But we haven’t even really chatted!” I protested.

“Jace is waiting for me. I’ll call you again.” She said.

“You wouldn’t.” I mumbled.

“Go and sleep yea! Good night, Love!” She kissed the camera and disconnected the call.

I’m so confused by her. She is controlling my feelings like some puppet master. One moment she brings me to the top of the world, the next moment she slaps me back into reality, and then she brings me into illusion and finally kicks me hard again. I can’t even tell what I am supposed to be feeling.

“Your owner is so confusing.” I said as I hung the Duckie up to dry.

“She didn’t even say ‘I love you’.” I mumbled.

I closed my eyes, forcing myself to sleep, but I just couldn’t. I was so frustrated because of her. I’m so lonely here in Korea, yearning for her every day, while she enjoys herself with a guy!? I know it wouldn’t happen, but I couldn’t help at the fact my imagination ran wild.
