Haneul’s POV

“Stop eating!” Ahjumma smacked my hand.

“WAE!?” I pouted at her.

“Because the bunnies are losing their ears and it’s your fault!” She pinched my lips.

“They can do it without ears.” I said, taking another piece of bunny ear cookie.

“Junhyung! I’m glad you’re here! Come and bring your glutton of a girlfriend away!” Ahjumma yelled.

“Morning, love. Morning, Ahjumma.” Junhyung sat beside me with puffy eyes.

“Morning, fat.” I smiled.

“I’M FAT!?” He yelled and pouted.

His loudness startled me, leaving me to laugh only.

“I scared you, didn’t I?” He laughed, poking my cheek.

“Yea, you scared me. Hahaha~” I handed him a bunny ear.

“Eat this.” I said.

“Why only the ears? Where is the body Omo, it’s nice!!” He shoved the whole cookie into his mouth.

“Nice right.” I said, handing him another one.

We both fed each other behind Ahjumma’s back.

“YAHHHH!!!!” Ahjumma yelled when she saw us.

“BOTH OF YOU! GO TO THE LIVING ROOM NOW!” She commanded.

“Okay.” I said, sneakily trying to bring the plate of cookies along.

“LEAVE MY BUNNY EARS ALONE!!” She shouted.

“But Ahjumma, it’s really nice.” Junhyung said, taking a bite of the cookie.

The facial expression on Ahjumma’s face was priceless. She was torn between smiling at his compliment and yelling at him for eating up the cookies. Her expression seemed.. forced~ I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“Why?” Junhyung looked at me innocently, still munching on the cookie.

“Junnie, as much as you don’t want to admit it, you’re very cute.” I pinched his cheeks.

“Stop eating~” Ahjumma pleaded.

“Look! Now these bunnies have no ears!” She slammed a try of cupcakes on the table.

“These are bunnies?” Junhyung asked, staring at the cupcakes.

“It’s not done!” Ahjumma yelled.

“Are these for Easter?” Junhyung asked.

“Yes, but what am I going to serve the kids now?!” Ahjumma yelled.

“Ouh sorry.” Junhyung said.

“Just stop eating eh!” She said before turning her back.

“Umma~” A tired little voice called out.

“Hey sweetie. Did you sleep well?” I smiled at Ji Eun.

She yawned and rubbed her eyes as she headed towards us.

“Good morning, Ji Eun.” Junhyung greeted her.

She looked at him and then yawned. She tried to climb up the chair but kept missing it because she was too short. Junhyung looked at her try and smiled like an amused father. He stood up and picked her up easily, settling her on the chair.

“There~” He smiled at her.

“Mommy, where are we going?” She asked.

“Erm… I don’t know. Where should we go today?” I asked her.

“I don’t know.” She rested her head on the table.

“Shall we bring the kids to Everland?” Junhyung suggested.

“Everland?” Ji Eun looked up, suddenly awoken.

“Yea, do you want to go?” Junhyung asked her.

She nodded and looked at me.

“You mean, all of us, go to Everland?” I asked Junhyung.

“Yea, why not?” He said.

“Love, there are eight adults and fifteen children in total. I’m pretty sure you guys and Jace will turn into kids the moment we step into Everland, making that one adult, that’s me, having to look after twenty-one of you.” I said.

“We wouldn’t!” He protested.

“Mommy pwease!” Ji Eun grabbed my hand.

“Bring them there, they haven’t been there before. Besides, the weather is good today. Go out and have fun then I can prepare food in peace without mouse like you all nibbling on my cookies.” Ahjumma said.

“Who is a mouse?” Ji Eun asked.

We looked down at her. Both Junhyung and I burst into laughter while Ahjumma smacked her forehead in protest. Ji Eun was nibbling on one of the bunny ear cookie.

“Have fun! Don’t forget dinner!” Ahjumma yelled as we all headed out.

We were separated into three cars. Beast except for Junhyung and some other kids were in the Beast’s van. Jace took some of the kids as well. Junhyung and I took Ji Eun, Tae Hyun and a few others. We surprisingly arrived at almost the same time.

“WAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Yoseob yelled the moment he came out of the van.

“Shhh~” Doojoon covered his mouth.

“HYUNG!!! IT’S EVERLAND!! IT’S EVERLAND!!!!” He jumped around, shaking his hyungs.

“JUNNIE HYUNG!!!!” He aegyo-ed.

“Yea~” Junhyung smiled, putting his arm over Yoseob’s shoulders.

“I’ll go get the tickets.” I said.

“Haneul ah, I’ll get it.” Doojoon smiled.

“No, no, no.” I said.

“It’s alright, Haneul ah. We’ll split up and pay for everyone.” Doojoon looked at the Beast boys.

“Yea, Noona, let us pay.” Dongwoon said.

“We’re the guys! We have to pay!” Kikwang smiled.

“No, I can’t allow that.” I said, looking at Jace, gesturing him to go get the tickets.

Jace nodded but he stopped and looked at me blankly when Junhyung approached us, counting the tickets in hand.

“Here, let’s go in!” He smiled.

“Yong Junhyung!” I frowned at him.

“What?” He smiled, giving hi-fives to his group mates.

“Sneaky idiot!” I yelled.

“It’s call ninja, baby.” He whispered into my ear.

“AISH!!” I pushed him away but he just laughed.

Junhyung’s POV

Doojoon volunteering to pay was just a small plot we planned to distract Haneul while I go get the tickets. True enough, it worked like a spell. We walked into the theme park as a big group, holding hands. We split up eventually because playing in a big group seemed pretty troublesome. We agreed to meet for lunch later on. Haneul, Tae Hyun, Ji Eun and I went together.

“Which one do you want to play first?” I asked Ji Eun and Tae Hyun.

“THAT ONE!!!!” Haneul jumped out from behind, shaking my arm like a mad little girl.

“THAT ONE!! THAT ONE!!!” She yelled, pointing frantically at the roller coaster.

I wonder if she remembered what she said in the morning about her being the only adult and us turning into kids.

“Love, the kids can’t ride that.” I said.

“BUT I WANT TO RIDE IT!!!” She whined.

Ji Eun and Tae Hyun did not seem amused at Haneul’s reaction. It was as thou they are used to it already.

“Junnie pweaseeeeeeee~” She shook my arm, pouting.

I couldn’t say no, but how about the kids.

“I’ll take them to the zoo or what, then you come and join us later after you’re done with your big baby?” Hyunseung suggested, appearing behind me with Kikwang suddenly.

“Is it okay?” I look at Tae Hyun and Ji Eun.

They nodded.

“I’ll see you guys later, okay?” I said.

They nodded.

“Have fun.” I pat their heads. Tae Hyun giggled but Ji Eun did not give me any expression. Well, at least she did not dodge my hand.

I waved to them as they walked off with Hyunseung and Kikwang.

“Alright big baby. We can WAHHHHH~~” Even before I could finish, I was roughly yanked forward and dragged along.

“HURRY UP!!! SO SLOW!!!” Haneul pulled me as she ran.

Really, I think she has forgotten what she said just now.

Throughout the roller coaster ride, she kept giggling like nobody’s business. I think she was the only one on the ride who is behaving like that. She dragged me around like a daughter dragging her father, pushing me up various rides, not even bothering to ask for my opinion. But then again, it was not that I did not like it. It has been long since we came here, and it is indeed nice to see the baby in her.

“Haneul~ Haneul~” I called out to her, stopping her from power walking to God knows where her destination is.

“Huh?” She looked at me, cheeks flushed from running and laughing.

“Take a break huh. Let’s just walk slowly.” I said, intertwining my hand with hers.

“Huh but why?” She pouted.

“Come on, you need it. You’ve been on almost all the scary rides already. Your heart needs a break.” I said, walking with her.

“Ouh…” She nodded, walking with me.

But the walk did not last long.

“COTTON CANDY!!!!!” She yelled and jumped.

“LET’S BUY SOME!!!” She ran towards the stall.

“Aiee~” I sighed and ran after her.

“Let’s go there.” I pointed at the Ferris Wheel after we bought the cotton candy.

“Huh but that’s so slow!” She whined.

“That’s my point.” I said.

“No!” She said.

“You’re being unfair, aren’t you?” I said, feeling a little upset.

“How am I being unfair?” She asked.

“I accompanied you on all the rides without complain. You never asked if I was okay with it or not, but I still went, because it makes you smile. And now, I am only asking to go on one. I asked, mind you. And you flatly said no.” I said.

She shoved cotton candy into , pouting.

“It’s alright then. I’ll go on my own.” I said, walking off.

I was honestly feeling slightly angry, but I still did not feel good for just walking off. I was about to turn back when she appeared beside me.

“The Ferris Wheel seems fun! Let’s go!” She smiled, grabbing my arm.

I couldn’t hide my smile. She always has her ways.

“Remember the last time we were here?” She asked me, resting against my chest, playing with my fingers.

“Erm… Ya…” I mumbled.

“LIAR!” She turned to me, pouting.

“I’m sorry. I… OUCH!!!” She bended my fingers so back that it cracked.

“That’s your punishment!” She said.

“Owwww.” I whined, rubbing my lifeless fingers.

“How can you forget!” She yelled.

“I’m sorry.” I apologized.

“But really, when was the last time we were here? I forgot too.” She giggled.

“YAH! You took advantage of me!?” I yelled.

“Heee heee~” She smiled, backing away.

“Come here.” I went closer to her.

“No~” She moved away.

“You can’t actually run away you know. We’re so high, and the space here is only this much. Wherever you run too, I can still get you.” I said.

She giggled, using her legs to stop me from nearing her.

“Come here.” I said, opening my arms wide. Surprisingly, she came into my embrace obediently.

“I love you.” I said.

“Me too.” She mumbled.

“Turn over and let me kiss you.” I said.

She chuckled and shook her head.

“Then I have to force my way through.” I said, pushing her off slightly, but supporting her with my arm. She yelped and clutched onto the collar of my shirt. I lean in to kiss her. It was tiring having to support her weight so she would not fall and kissing her at the same time, but nevertheless, I found this new way of kissing fun. She couldn’t pull away until I do, or else if I let go she would fall. But its not like I would let her go.

I pulled her up after we pulled away from each other. Her cheeks were red and she was panting slightly, looking down, smiling to herself.

“Tell me how you did it.” I said, circling my arms around her.

“Did what?” She asked.

“How you behave like a lion and a bunny at the same time.” I said.

“What the hell? I am human!” She laughed.

“No. You’re a lion bunny mix breed. Fierce but cute at the same time. The most dangerous kind.” I said.

“What!?” She laughed, slapping my thigh.

“See see see~ You’re being a lion by slapping my thigh and being a bunny by laughing so cutely.” I said, pinching her cheek. She tried to bite me but ended up biting on her own teeth. I carried on playing with her like that, amazed at how much of a puppy she can be. But eventually the lion showed itself. She grabbed my hand and bit down on my finger.

“Lionny~” I said as we walked towards the restaurant.

“What?” She asked.

“Lionny.” I repeated.

“What lionny?” She looked at me, confused.

“You.” I said.

“Me?” She asked.

“Yea. Mix breed of a lion and a bunny. Lionny~” I said.

“YAH!!” She laughed, slapping my arm playfully.

“See see see!! Lionny~” I continued to .

“Junhyung appa!” I heard a voice shout.

I stopped walking and looked around. Haneul was stunned too.

“JUNHYUNG APPA!!!” A weight crashed onto my legs. I looked down and saw Tae Hyun smiling at me.

“What did you call me?” I asked.

“A…ppa..” He mumbled.

“Is it… not allowed?” He pouted, looking down.

“Of course not!” I exclaimed, hugging him tight before picking him up.

“Aigoo, my son.” I kissed his forehead.

Hyunseung and Kikwang were walking towards us, Kikwang carrying Ji Eun.

“Tae Hyun ah~” Haneul called out.

“Hmm?” Tae Hyun looked at her.

“Why did you call Junhyung appa? I thought you used to call him hyung?” She asked.

“Is it… not allowed?” He asked again, pouting.

“No no no. I don’t mean it that way. I am just curious.” Haneul said.

“He said I could call him anything I like. I just feel like calling him appa today.” He said.

“Aww alright alright. Stop pouting. You’re making me want to bite your cheeks.” Haneul said.

“Hurrrr no!!” Tae Hyun buried his face into my shoulder.

“Alright, alright. I wouldn’t let her bite you.” I pat his head.

We gathered for lunch. The kids were so excited that they practically gobbled down their food.

“Eat slowly please.” Jace said, looking just as tired as the other Beast members.

Of course, his statement was ignored. The kids continued to shove food down their throat while excitedly talking about everything.

After lunch, Haneul and I took Tae Hyun and Ji Eun along to rides that were suitable for them.

I felt a slight tug on my hand. I looked down and saw Ji Eun looking at me.

“You need something?” I asked her.

“Sit that.” She pointed to the spinning teacups.

“You want to ride that?” I asked, looking at Haneul.

“Sweetie, we just had lunch. Later on, alright?” Haneul said.

Ji Eun frowned and looked away, obviously unhappy.

“Ji Eun ah~” I held onto her hand, but was smacked away.

I sighed and looked at Haneul. Tae Hyun poked Ji Eun on her arm, and when she turned, he made a monkey face, making her laugh. He knows how to be an oppa, doesn’t he?

“Let’s go ride that, okay?” I asked Ji Eun.

“Junnie, don’t.” Haneul frowned, shaking her head.

“It’s alright.” I mouthed.

“Shall we go?” I stretched out my hand, in which she took and dragged me along.

I went on the ride with Tae Hyun and Ji Eun. I literally had my lunch at my throat as the two of them had so much fun spinning the teacup. Double combo, they say they are called.

“Are you alright?” Haneul asked, patting my back after we got out.

“I.. am okay.” I smiled, but in fact, my world was spinning.

“APPA!!! THAT ONE!!!” My both hands were grabbed and I was roughly pulled along. I didn’t have the slightest idea as to where I was heading too. So, is this how being a father really is? Being pulled around without knowing what torture you are in for, but you’re amazingly still smiling.

“Did you all have fun?” Jace asked as we headed towards the exit.

Their responses were moody and soft, as expected.

“Well, we can always come again.” He said.

“OKAY!” They yelled. How fast they change their expression. Amazing.

The walk to the exit was a long one. By the time we arrived at the exit, half of the children were asleep in the arms of the adults, the other half were just sleep walking. I had Tae Hyun asleep in my arms. I was stopped by a poke on my . I turned around and saw Ji Eun looking at me with her half opened eyes. She stretched her hands up.

“Carwwy.” She said with a slight pout.

“You.. want me to carry you?” I asked.

She nodded.

“Ji Eun, Junhyung is…” I stopped Haneul before she could finish.

“Come.” I said, balancing Tae Hyun on one arm while spreading my other arm open for her.

She snuggled into my embrace, clutching onto the back of my shirt as I picked her up.

“Mmm~ Sleep well.” I whispered.

I knew she was asleep when I felt a slight weight on my shoulder.

“You’re really willing to even break your arms for them, aren’t you?” Haneul said, frowning slightly.

“Of course.” I smiled.

“Let me carry Ji Eun.” She said.

“What? No.” How can I let her carry Ji Eun? This is the first time, and maybe the last time, Ji Eun would ask me to carry her. I had to treasure this chance of course.

“Then let me carry Tae Hyun.” She said.

“No no no.” I refused.

“Fine. Then if your arms ache, don’t complain.” She said.

“Sure.” I smiled.

Haneul’s POV

We had to carry all the kids back into the house because all of them were asleep. In the past, it would be Jace, Ahjumma, me and some others carrying them, but today, watching the Beast boys carrying the kids back to their beds, removing their jackets and shoes then tucking them into bed, it was just a beautiful sight. 

I watch Junhyung behave like a proud father, tugging his two precious into bed and giving them each a peck on their cheek before walking out of the room. He had been smiling ever since Ji Eun pulled him onto that ridiculous spinning teacup.

“Are you okay?” I asked, touching his forehead.

“Why not?” He smiled.

“You’ve been smiling despite being tortured like mad.” I said.

“How is that torture!? Gosh~” He laughed as he collapsed onto my bed.

“Tired huh.” I smacked his .

He shook his head with his face down on my pillow.

“It’s so amazing!” He turned around, grinning at me.

“What’s amazing?” I asked.

“Tae Hyun calling me appa. Although I know he may call me hyung again later on. But when he called me appa, my heart stopped beating for a while. I couldn’t breathe. Like… it felt like a dream. And then when Ji Eun asked me to go on that teacup ride with her. Gosh! It was one of the best rides of the day! When she asked me to carwwy her, it was even cuter!” He squealed.

“So, I think you don’t need my kiss and ‘I love you’ anymore? Scratch that, you don’t need my presence anymore?” I asked.

“Awww~ Is my Lionny jealous of her cubs?” He squashed my cheeks.

I flicked his nose and he whined in pain.

“That’s for teasing the lion.” I said.

“Where is the bunny!?” He yelled.

“I ate it!” I said.

“Evil thing!” He pointed at me.

“Aren’t you tired!? Sleep already, noisy thing!” I pointed at him.

“Sleep with me!!” He shouted as I headed for the door.

I went to check on the others. The rest of Beast was asleep together. I went into their room to switch on the air condition and cover the blankets properly over them. What shocked me was that I saw Jace asleep in that pile of five.

“This theme park outing really created a lot of precious moments, didn’t it?” I mumbled to myself as I turned off the lights.

I pushed open my room door and found Junhyung already asleep.

“Among all the memories created, yours should be the best, right?” I kissed him on his forehead.

When everyone woke up, we had dinner. Ahjumma prepared a lot of food along with a lot of bunny design snacks. It is Easter, but we do not actually celebrate it like how some do. We just use Easter as an excuse to call for a celebration. The kids love it. They get to eat all the sweet delights they want, and at times, get a little present too. Like this time, the theme park.

“Erm….” Doojoon suddenly stood up.

“As you know, it really isn’t easy for us to be able to spend time like this. It was tiring, but very satisfying and fun. Thank you so much for being allowing us to come here to escape from our reality for three days. We just came without much warning and you guys allowed us to stay. Even treated us so warmly. We’re really thankful.” He said.

Like as thou they had rehearsed this before, as soon as Doojoon finished, the other five stood up and bowed, saying thank you in literally one voice.

“Aigoo aigoo! Sit down! All of you! Gosh this is so embarrassing!” Ahjumma smacked their heads lightly, forcing them to sit back down.

The rest of us just laughed at the scene.

“This isn’t the military, or the entertainment industry. You don’t have to be so formal and bow for everything you say or do. We should be the ones thanking you. It has been long since this place is so lively. Usually it is just Haneul who is jumping around and making all sorts of noises like some nutcase.” Ahjumma said.

They burst into laughter, even Junhyung!

“Oui!” I made a face at Ahjumma.

“Alright, alright. Just kidding. It’s scary when Haneul stops acting like a nutcase.” She pat my cheek.

“Let me continue. And then Junhyungie you came, you brought slightly more life to this place. Well, at least the girls had a handsome guy to look forward to daily, although we all know that in your heart there is only Haneul.” Ahjumma said.

Junhyung looked down, grinning, his cheeks turning red. I could feel my cheeks heat up too.

“Gosh look at that couple blushing!” Ahjumma continued to tease us.

“Anyway, and then…” Before she could finish, Jace spoke.

“Are you trying to say I am very ugly?” He asked.

“I did not.” Ahjumma said.

“Then what did you mean by ‘at least the girls had a handsome guy to look forward to daily’?” Jace asked.

“You’re handsome, but you’re the only guy we’ve been looking at for three years.” Ahjumma said, causing everyone to laugh.

“Let me continue! Aigoo! I was saying, Junhyungie… His heart only has Haneul…” She looked at me.

“Stop it!” I whined.

“And then not only that, he brought another five handsome men with him. We should be thankful to you guys. Please come often. Whenever you feel like it, the doors are always open wide. Even if it’s just coming here for a nap or a meal, it’s fine.” Ahjumma said.

“How could we burden you all like that..?” Yoseob mumbled.

“Why not? This is an orphanage after all. I can just see you as one of them or what.” Ahjumma said as a matter of factly, but everyone else were a laughing mess already.

We continued to eat and chat until Kikwang suddenly stood up.

“HYUNG! REMEMBER!?” He shook Junhyung’s arm when Junhyung was trying to sip his coke. He ended up looking comical as he tried to catch the straw in his mouth but kept failing because of Kikwang.

“What!?” Junhyung frowned because of that.

Kikwang mumbled something no one could make out. Well, maybe except Junhyung.

“OH! Ya ya ya ya ya ya!” Junhyung looked at the other Beast boys. They were gesturing in their own language, and then before we knew it, all of them had ran into the room.

“What just happened?” Jace asked.

“No idea. Maybe their alien friend called for them.” I said.

They walked back out, holding a big paper bag. Everyone turned to look at them.

“Erm….. Because it’s Easter, we thought maybe we should give the kids a little something.” Junhyung said.

“So we kind of searched online and experimented a lot, then we came up with these.” He took out two felt bunnies from the paper bag and waved them.

The kids were squealing. I was squealing too. It was so damn cute.

“The ugly ones are made by them, the cute ones are made by me.” He smiled.

“NONSENSE!” The other boys protested.

They handed out the felt bunnies to the kids like Santa Claus.

“For you.” Junhyung handed the bunny to Tae Hyun.

“Thank you, appa!” Tae Hyun said.

Junhyung’s mouth curled up so widely I was really worried his mouth would tear.

“And you.” He handed Ji Eun a bunny.

“Thank you.” Ji Eun mumbled. She snuggled her face close to the bunny, making Junhyung so happy over that little gesture.

“You guys made it?” Ahjumma asked, looking at hers.

“We did.” Junhyung nodded.

“Amazing.” She complimented.

“Learn something!” She suddenly smack Jace’s arm.

“I don’t get a bunny?” I pouted at Junhyung.

“You ate the bunny, remember?” He said.

“That’s sad.” I pouted.

“Aww how can I leave my darling out?” He said, pulling out a knitted bunny from the bag.

“Love it well.” He said, touching my nose with the bunny’s nose.

“Kyahhhh!!!! Why so cute!!!” I grabbed it and shook it.

“Yah yah! It’ll faint!” Junhyung laughed, snatching the bunny back.

“But its funny huh~” He said, shaking the bunny as well.

We were the only ones laughing at it.

“Tsk tsk~ How unfair. Haneul’s bunny is like five times bigger than everyone else’s.” Jace commented.

“Be glad you got a bunny too.” I said, leaning against Junhyung.

“I hope you like it.” He whispered.

“You bought this, didn’t you?” I said, pulling the ears of the bunny.

“I made it!” He hissed.

“How is it possible?” I .

“I really did!” He protested.

“Okay okay~” I laughed.

“Give it a name.” He said, taking the bunny and shaking its head.

“Erm…” I thought for a while.

“Hurry~” He complained, squashing the bunny with his chin.

“Omo! You’re breaking its neck!” I yelled.

“Give me a name~~~” He made the bunny ‘talk’.

“Wabbit.” I said.

“No~” The bunny ‘said’.

“Labbit~” I said.

“No~” What a troublesome bunny.

“Then what do you want!?” I asked.

“Bunny should be fine hee~ Yay!!” He made the bunny ‘clap’ its hands.

How can I get angry at that sight?

“Kids, its time for bed.” Ahjumma said.

It was already 11.30PM, way past their bedtime.

“No…. Just a while more, please…” They whined.

“Come on, be good. They have to leave too. It is late already.” Ahjumma said.

“Why not like that. We wash you guys up and tuck you into bed.” Hyunseung suggested.

They were reluctant, but agreed anyway. They did not want the boys to leave. It was obvious.

“Would you come back again, appa?” Tae Hyun asked as Junhyung tucked him into bed.

“Of course. I’m always here, right?” Junhyung said, pushing Tae Hyun’s fringe to the side.

“Now, sleep well so you would not be late for school tomorrow, okay?” He said.

Tae Hyun nodded. Junhyung pulled out something from a paper bag and handed it to Tae Hyun. It was a plushie.

“Would this make sleeping better?” Junhyung asked.

“If you sleep with me, it would be better. But until then, this would be my friend.” Tae Hyun smiled, hugging the plushie tight.

“Sleep well.” Junhyung kissed Tae Hyun on his forehead. Tae Hyun closed his eyes and drifted off into dreamland thanks to Junhyung’s light pats on his chest.

“And you,” He went to Ji Eun.

“For you.” He said, taking out a teddy bear with a bunny sticking out. I want that bear plushie too.

“Me?” Ji Eun asked.

“Yeap. I hope you like it.” Junhyung said.

Ji Eun looked at the bear, playing with it. Junhyung and I laughed when the plushie smacked her face. She pouted at us.

“Sorry, sorry. Are you okay?” Junhyung asked, rubbing her nose lightly.

Her next gesture shocked both Junhyung and I. She kissed him on his cheek.

Junhyung looked at me with dropped jaws. He turned back to look at Ji Eun, but she already buried her face into her new toy. I turned off the lights and pulled Junhyung out.

“SHE KISSED ME!” He shouted, shaking me.

I nodded, unable to contain my smile too.I lost already. Ahjumma won.

After seeing the Beast boys out, I went into the kitchen.

“Need anything?” Ahjumma asked.

“No.” I said, taking the tablecloth from her.

She looked at me, surprised.

“I lost. You won.” I said, cleaning the table.

“Ji Eun opened up to Junhyung already?” She asked.

“She kissed him just now.” I smiled as I wiped the table.

“SHE WHAT!?” She yelled.

“She KISSED him!” I shouted.

“I TOLD YOU JUNHYUNGIE HAS HIS WAY WITH KIDS! Lets see how long he took~” She started counting.

“29 days!” She yelled.

Just one more day, and the winner could have been me. But it’s alright. I’m willing to bear the consequences of losing.

“OKAY SO! Since you lost, erm for tonight, just sweep and mop the floor, wash the stove and the clothes. That’s all!” Ahjumma smiled.

“Did you just say that’s all?” I asked.

“Yea! That’s all! Now, do well! Good night!” She skipped back to her room, leaving me standing alone in the kitchen. I mentally smacked myself for actually sharing the news with her.

When I was done with everything, it was already 3.30AM. I showered and dragged my aching body back to my room. Is this how Ahjumma feels every day? I sighed as I opened the door. I was about to plop myself onto the bed when I spotted something red sticking out of my blanket.

I pulled my blanket away revealing five stalks of red roses bundled together with a white ribbon. There was a note tied around it as well.

‘5 stalk of roses means ‘I love you very much’. I love you very much, my Lionny.’
