Haneul’s POV

“Oh Noona! Hello!” Dongwoon greeted.

“Hi.” I smiled at him, handing him a bag of food.

“Food again? Noona, you don’t have to always buy us food whenever you come.” He said, but took out a piece of bread and started munching on it.

“So you rather I just buy for Junhyung and the rest of you watch? Just enjoy.” I said, patting his chest as I walked pass him to go look for Junhyung.

I stood outside the room, watching him busy himself with work. I knocked the door after awhile, peeking my head in.

“Junroro sshi, may I come in?” I asked.

“No. Stand outside.” He said, not looking up from his paper.

“Ouh. Okay.” I said, stepping in and closing the door.

I heard him giggle to himself before looking up. He turned around, surprised, not expecting me to be in the room because he asked me to stand outside.

“I thought I said outside?” He asked.

“I am outside, aren’t I? Eh!? When did I come in?” I asked.

“Yea, yea, yea.” He hugged my waist, pulling me close to him.

“Why are you here?” He asked, resting his cheek against my shoulder.

“To see if the paper and ink has swallowed my boyfriend or not.” I said.

“What if it has?” He asked.

“Then I am left with no choice but to find myself another one.” I smiled.

He looked up at me with wide eyes.

“But I doubt I would be able to find another one as terrible as you.” I said.

“I am terrible?” He asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“Yea, you’re terrible. Terribly amazing.” I poked the tip of his nose.

“Ah really?” He said, swinging me downwards suddenly.

I grabbed onto the collar of his shirt for support despite having his hand on my back, holding my weight.

“What did you think you are doing?” I asked, still in that awkward position.

“I don’t know.” He grinned.

“Let me up, I’m going to fall.” I said.

“You know I’ll never let you fall.” He smiled, leaning in closer.

He smacked his lips before pressing it against mine. We shared a full-blown kiss in this awkward position. We were in our own word until the door flew open, startling the both of us.

“Junhyungie, are you… OH!” Yoseob said.

I felt his arms went weak and for a split moment I thought ‘That’s it. I’m going to break my back.’, but he spun me around, cushioning my fall, letting me crash my weight onto him.

“I AM SORRY! I AM SORRY! I NEVER SAW ANYTHING! I DID NOT SEE YOU KISSING! I DID NOT SEE BODIES! I SAW NOTHING!” Yoseob yelled as he covered his face.

“Damn you, Yoseobie.” Junhyung groaned as I pulled him to sit up.

“Are you two clothed already?” Yoseob asked, still with his palms covering his face.

“Not yet. Wait.” Junhyung smirked.

My eyes widened. Junhyung just smiled as he pulled me onto his lap.

“Wait huh, Yoseobie.” Junhyung said as he cupped my cheeks.

He put his finger to his lips, gesturing me to be quiet.

“He’s always in our way.” He whispered into my ear as he played with my fingers.

“But it’s mean.” I whispered back.

He let out a soft chuckle. We played with each other’s hands for a while as we watch in amusement Yoseob stand there with palms over his face, not moving at all.

“Enough.” I whispered.

He pouted as he grabbed a nearby cushion, throwing it onto Yoseob. Yoseob literally jumped. He lowered his hands slowly, still peeking through his fingers.

“Seriously, Yoseobie…” Junhyung looked at him.

“What? What? It’s you guys! Always doing inappropriate stuff everywhere!” Yoseob complained.

“I simply kissed my girlfriend in the room in which I usually use alone, is it inappropriate?” Junhyung said.

“You mean… You guys were not… DID YOU GUYS PRANK ME!?” Yoseob yelled, finally grasping the situation.

“It’s a pretty cute photo.” Junhyung smirked, waving his phone.

“YOU MADE A FOOL OUT OF ME!!! Haneul, move!” Yoseob yelled, pushing me away slightly as he tackled Junhyung to the floor.

“What!? No! Get off!” Junhyung kept trying to keep the phone out of Yoseob’s reach but it was made difficult with Yoseob on top of him.

“Lionny!!” Junhyung yelled, tossing his phone to me. I almost missed it by a bit.

“Hyung! You’re very evil!” Yoseob pouted as he jabbed his fingers into Junhyung’s side, making Junhyung laugh like crazy.

“I never said I was kind! STOP IT!!” Junhyung laughed.

“LIONNY!! HELP!!” Junhyung screamed.

“Yoseob, just don’t kill him. I still want my Junroro.” I said as I stepped out of the room.

“YAHHHHHHHHHH!!!” I was pretty sure the whole building could hear Junhyung’s blood curling scream.

I went in awhile later to stop Yoseob from killing my boyfriend.

“So evil of you to let him torture me like that!” Junhyung pouted as he rubbed his sides after Yoseob left the room.

I lifted his shirt slightly, revealing red patches. I cursed Yoseob inside for using so much strength to poke Junhyung.

“But you first. Aww don’t be angry.” I kissed his cheek, rubbing the red patches.

“Have they called?” He asked.

“Nope.” I said, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

“I miss them.” He said.

“Me too.” I said.

“It’s been four days since I last heard their voices.” He pouted.

“Seems like they are having fun thou, which it’s good, I think.” I said.

“Your face tells otherwise.” He poked my cheek.

“What? I... Oh.” My phone ringing cut me off.

Junhyung’s POV

“You answer it. I’m sure they’ll be extra happy. They have been asking for you.” Haneul said as she handed me her phone.

I answered the call, but did not say anything.

“UMMA!! UMMA!!!” Tae Hyun and Ji Eun yelled in unison.

Just hearing their voices was enough to make any dull day bright.

“Umma! Why aren’t you talking!?” Tae Hyun asked.

“It’s me. Junhyung.” I said.

“APPA!!!!” He screamed into my ear, so loud even Haneul could hear.

“APPA!! APPA!! I mwiss you!!!” Ji Eun shouted.

“I miss my princess too.” I said, turning the phone on to speaker mode.

“How are the both of you?” I asked.

“GOOD!!” They screamed.

“Aigoo… Stop screaming.” I laughed.

“Appa! I cannot wait to see you tomorrow!” Tae Hyun said.

“Only Junhyung Appa? You don’t want to see me?” Haneul asked.

“UMMA!!! NO NO!! I want to see all of you!” Tae Hyun said.

“I can’t wait to see the both of you too.” I said.

“UMMA!!! APPA!! I love you!” Ji Eun said.

Haneul and I were a smiling mess.

“We love you too.” I said.

Like black ink splashing across a white sheet of paper, we heard a voice that dampened our mood.

“The kids have to eat.” She said.

“I expect to see them back on time tomorrow, and have you found out about the wonderful invention I talked about? If no, use your pigeon or owl.” I said.

“When they choose me, you’ll not be able to be so cocky anymore.” She said, hanging up the call.

“Damn woman.” I cursed under my breath.

“When did you learn to become so sarcastic? Wonderful invention~ Hahahaha!” Haneul laughed as she kept her phone in her pocket.

“I have always been.” I mumbled.

“Oh~” She nodded.

“Why? Do you find me rude?” I asked.

She shook her head.

“Firstly, sarcasm and rudeness is two different things altogether. In court, you’ll be charged for being rude, but not for being sarcastic. Secondly, damn, she deserves all the rudeness in the world. And lastly, I think I am much ruder.” She said.

“You were. But you’ve changed. Somehow. I don’t know. It’s like, in the past you would be hauling vulgarities at her already, but this time you just kept quiet.” I said.

“I have not change. Just that my personality adjusts according to whom I am being threatened with. If I am rude to her, what if she takes them away or even worse, harm them? By then, I’ll be at the losing end. But I think I am losing control.” She smiled.

“What if you’re being threatened with me?” I asked.

“Threatened by you, or threatened with you?” She laughed.

“Both.” I said.

“Threatened with you, I’ll give in anything. I think I’ll be even more giving than I am now.” She said.

“And then threatened by me?” I asked.

“First, you should ask yourself would you dare to threaten me?” She asked, two fingers jabbing at the side of my neck.

“Ugh.. No.. No.. Of course not. Not even if I am being given the guts of a bear.” I said.

“Good boy.” She patted my head.

“You like it, don’t you?” I asked.

“Like what?” She asked.

“Controlling me like this. Treating me like a toddler.” I said.

“Well, you like being controlled by me, don’t you? You like being treated like a toddler by me, don’t you?” She said.

“Erm….” I narrowed my eyes.

“Say no, if you dare.” She hissed.

“Nawww~ Of course I enjoy it! Control me all you want! Should I buy you a remote?” I asked.

“It’s okay. I like touch screen.” She said, poking me all over my chest.

We headed for dinner before I sent her back to the orphanage.

“Will you be here tomorrow?” She asked.

“Of course. First thing in the morning.” I said.

“Do you… Perhaps..” She mumbled.

“What?” I asked.

“Nothing. Never mind.” She said.

“Say it.” I said.

“It’s nothing.” She said.

“Come on, say it.” I said.

“Do you want to sleep over?” She asked.

I chuckled to myself, earning a slap on my arm.

“Forget it. Bye.” She mumbled, stomping off.

“Aww don’t be angry!” I caught her arm.

“I wish to, but I can’t.” I said.

“Why?” She asked.

“I’ve got stuff to do tonight. Sorry.” I said.

“It’s alright. I was just asking for fun. Anyway, drive safely, text me when you’re home.” She said, planting a kiss on my forehead.

“Love you. See you tomorrow.” I said as I headed back to my car.

Haneul’s POV

I was on my bed, reading while waiting for Junhyung’s text. It has been an hour since he left but he still has not texted me. He did not usually take so long to reach home. I was about to call him to ask if he was okay when someone knocked on my door.

“Yea!” I yelled to let whoever outside know it was okay to come in.

I searched for my phone while waiting for whomever outside to come in, but the door did not open, instead, the person knocked again.

“Yea! You can com…” My eyes widened as I stared at the figure outside.

Dressed in a loose t-shirt and sleeping pants, Junhyung held his bolster in one hand and a bouquet of roses in another hand. And the side of his pants, the Daisy Duck was sticking out.

“Can I sleep here tonight?” He said with a slight pout.

“What?” I laughed.

“Can I sleep here tonight?” He repeated.

“Sur.. Sure..” I made way to let him walk in.

“Yours.” He said, shoving the bouquet of flowers to me before heading to sit on my bed, hugging his knees, clutching the Daisy Duck tightly in his hand, pouting.

I looked at him, and then at the bouquet of roses. I pulled out the card and read it.

‘Forty-four roses means to pledge a constant and unchanging love. I pledge my love to you and promise to never change, except for the better, under any circumstances. I love you, I love you, I love you, my Lionny.’

“Awww~ Sweetheart~” I hugged him tight.

I looked at him, but he was still pouting.

“Why are you still pouting!?” I asked, pinching his lips lightly.

“Can I sleep here?” He asked again.

“I said yes, didn’t I? What are you? A robot?” I laughed.

“Yes.” He said.

I laughed, slapping his chest in the process.

“I thought you were busy? Liar. Robots don’t lie.” I said, as we cuddled under the blanket.

“I am special.” He said in a robotic voice.

“Right. Very special.” I kissed his cheek.

“Good night, Junroro.” I said.

“I am a robot, robots don’t sleep.” He said.

“Then you stay awake, while I sleep.” I laughed.

“Junroro…” I said.

“Hmm?” He mumbled in a half awake voice.

“If I were to be threatened by you, I’ll be very glad to give in too.” I said.

“Hee~” He chuckled, and then I think he fell asleep.
