Letting it out
I'm DifferentJunhyung’s POV
I was almost asleep when I heard a knock on the shutter. Is it Haneul? I sat up and rubbed my eyes. It was silent again. Was I hearing things?
“Yong Junhyung! You’re in there, right!?” A voice called out.
Seungho Hyung.
“Yea Hyung.” I mumbled as I pulled up the shutter.
Seungho Hyung looked at me and pushed pass me.
“I heard that someone’s going crazy, so I thought I come and take a look. You’re really going crazy.” He said, sitting down, arm resting on the duck.
“OUCH!!!” I yelled as I pulled the duck away from him.
“What is it!?” He jumped up, looking around.
“How can you rest your arm on him!?” I yelled.
“On who!?” He looked confused.
“HIM!” I shoved the duck into his face.
“Junhyung, have you gone mad?” He touched my forehead.
“No.” I said, pulling down the shutter.
“Why are you here?” I asked.
“Huh? If my memory didn’t fail me, I was the one who brought you here. I came first. And now you’re asking why I am here?” He said.
“Right.” I mumbled, sitting beside him with the duck on my lap.
“When did you become so obsessed with soft toys?” He asked.
“He’s my friend.” I smiled.
“What did the girl do to you?” He mumbled.
“What?” I asked.
“Nothing. The boys are worried.” He said.
“Worried about what?” I asked.
“You!” He shouted.
“Why me? I mean, what is wrong with me?” I asked.
“That’s the question! What is wrong with you?” He asked.
“Nothing is wrong. I’m fine.” I smiled.
“Junhyung, you may be from the acting major, but do you know your acting now is really unnatural?” He said.
“Did you come here just to insult me?” I asked.
“Wah! What a thing to say! I forgo sleep to come to you, yet you say I’m insulting you?” He said.
“Sorry Hyung. Just that.. I.. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” I said.
“You have to stop coming here.” He said.
“But why? What if she comes back?” I said.
“If she wants you, she’ll look for you.” He said.
“Hyung, I’m sorry. Call me desperate or what, but I can’t just ‘be a man’ or whatever you would call it.” I said.
“Looks like someone has fallen real deep.” He said.
“You kidding me? Do I look like I have just fallen real deep? I feel as thou I’m buried inside!” I said.
He looked at me with frowned brows and then started laughing.
“She wouldn’t want to find a skeleton when she returns, you know?” He said.
“What skeleton?” I asked.
“You! You’re turning into one. Just look at how shag you are now. You have no colour on your face, no life in your soul, and absolutely no flesh under your skin.” He said.
“You are making me sound horrible.” I said.
“You are horrible.” He said.
“Thanks.” I mumbled.
He got up and pulled me up by my wrist.
“Let’s go!” He said.
“Go where!?” I grabbed the chair, unwilling to leave.
“To fatten you up before your crush returns and gets a shock of her life!” He yanked me by my arm.
“And put the weird looking duck down!” He yelled, snatching the toy from me.
“NO!! RETURN IT TO ME!!!” I whined.
“Come with me and I’ll return it to you.” He said, shoving the duck into his back pocket.
I watch as the duck’s head bob up and down as Seungho Hyung walked in his crazy speed. He dragged me into a convenience store and bought stuff like chips and alcohol.
“Are you so hungry?” I asked, trying to distract him so I could take the toy back.
“It’s for you. And hands off!” He shouted as he smacked my hand.
He pushed the duck deeper into his back pocket.
“YOU’RE BREAKING HIS NECK!” My eyes widened.
“It doesn’t have a neck!” He shouted back.
He paid for the stuff and dragged me out.
“Hyung! I can walk!” I said.
“Of course I know you can, but you’re too slow!” He pushed me into the car.
“Where are you taking me!?” I shouted as he shut the door.
He got into the driver’s seat, started the engine and sped off.
DID HE JUST SIT ON MY FRIEND!?
“HYUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted, staring at his .
“What is it!?” He hit the brakes.
“YOU FLATTENED MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I pointed to his .
“AISH!!!!” He pulled the duck out of his back pocket and threw it into my face.
It felt disgustingly warm thanks to Hyung’s and it was indeed flattened.
“Can we go now, Crazy!?” He shouted.
“Apologize!” I demanded.
“Oh my god. You have really gone mad.” He mumbled.
He stepped on the accelerator and sped off, ignoring me all the way. How rude.
We arrived at a beach. We used to come here in the past where we were both still training. It was a difficult period of time, we would take each other here, whoever that was having a tough time.
“Remember here?” He said.
“Of course.” I said.
“Remember what we said here?” He asked.
“Here, we can do anything. Whine, cry, curse, throw a tantrum, take it out on each other, anything that makes us forget the bad happenings.” I said.
“And?” He said.
“And once we leave, we have to be happy again.” I said.
“Good. So go and do your thing.” He said, sitting down onto the sand.
“Thank you, Hyung.” I mumbled.
“Shall I hold your toy?” He asked.
“You sat on him just now!” I shouted.
“I’m sorry.” He said.
“You flattened him!” I shouted.
“I said I’m sorry!!!” He yelled.
He snatched the duck from me and threw it onto the sand. He head-locked me and dragged me into the sea.
“YONG JUNHYUNG!!! STOP TORTURING YOURSELF!!!!” He shouted.
“BUT HYUNG!!! I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I let the wave crash against me, swallowing me whole.
I tasted the sea water in my mouth. I sank deeper into the ocean. It felt good.
Haneul, where are you? I need you. I love you.
