Haneul’s POV

“I am.. OH MY GOD!!” I yelled, pushing him to lie on his back.

“WHY?! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS DOING THIS!?” I cried, pressing onto his chest, in hope to stop the bleeding.

“Don’t… Don’t cry…” He panted.

“Shhh shhh shh! Just stop talking!” I cried, cradling him in my arms.

“Junroro, why are you always doing this?” I cried.

“I.. I.. I promised you.. I would shield you.. always..” He gasped.

“Screw that!! Don’t shield me ever again! Don’t risk your life for me ever again, you idiot!!” I shouted.

He shook his head and smiled at me, his eyes threatening to close.

“DON’T CLOSE YOUR EYES!! DON’T SLEEP!!!” I yelled.

“Stay with me. I beg you. Please. Just stay with me.” I repeated.

I turned back to look at my friend. She was as pale as a sheet. The police had seized her gun but she seemed to be out of it.

“IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!” She suddenly yelled, breaking free from the police, charging towards me.

Although she was handcuffed, she still managed to push me with her shoulders. I grabbed her, choking her with my arm.

“My fault? Really? You disgusting stalker. My fault!? Really!? I don’t care if you’re really insane or pretending to be insane, but if anything happens to him, I’ll make sure you’ll be sane enough to wish you were never born.” I glared hard at her.

She kept mumbling something that sounded like ‘It’s all your fault’ as the police dragged her away.

“We need to take him to the hospital. Who’s following?” One of the medic asked.

“ME ME ME!!” I yelled.

I glanced at Jace who was still cradling Tae Hyun and Ji Eun in his arms despite his injuries.

“But them?” I asked, pointing at them.

“Go on~” Jace said, looking tired.

“The kids are fine. They are just asleep because of the sleeping pills. They’ll be awake soon. Your friend here needs medical attention fast.” He said.

Jace gestured me to go. I hopped onto the ambulance, holding Junhyung’s hand tight.

“Junroro, wake up.” I shook him slightly.

“Mmm~” His eyes fluttered open weakly.

“Don’t sleep. Please. Talk to me.” I said.

“I… I’m… tired.” He mumbled, pulling off his oxygen mask.

“No no no. You cannot sleep.” I shook him.

“I’ll give you anything you want. I’ll buy you a room full of Coke. Just promise me, stay with me. Please.” I begged.

“Room full… of Coke?” His eyes lid up, lips curling up into a small smile.

“Yes! I’ll give you a room full of Coke! You want it, right? Junroro wants his Coke, right? So stay with Lionny.” I said.

“Pro…mise?” He asked.

“I promise you! What else do you want? Hmm? I’ll give you anything in exchange for you being alive. Anything, really.” I said. I was desperate.

“I want… a live.. Pikachu… and.. an Iron Man.. suit..” He panted.

I looked at him in disbelief.

Now I am regretting. Where in the world would I go find a live Pikachu and an Iron Man suit!?

“Okay!” I said. I was desperate, really, really was.

He stuck out his pinky weakly, urging me to keep my promise. I hooked my pinky over his and hugged him tight.

“Just.. stay with me.” I whispered into his ears.

“My Coke… and Pikachu… and Iron.. Iron.. Man..” He mumbled.

“Yes, yes, yes. Everything. Yes. I promise. I’ll go find it, just stay alive.” I said, putting the oxygen mask back for him.

I didn’t know how I was going to find those things, but I promised him anyway, just as long as he stays alive, I'll do anything.

He closed his eyes, his breathing was slow, but I know he was fighting to stay awake.

At the hospital, I was asked to wait outside. I was reluctant, but I did not have much choice.

“Remember what you want? I promised you and you have to keep to your promise too, okay?” I whispered into his ears.

He nodded weakly. I gave him a quick peck on his forehead before letting the doctor attend to him.

“What the hell happened!?” Doojoon asked, suddenly appearing behind me with the other Beast members.

“It’s a long and disgusting story. I’ll tell you later. First.. Just let me.. I..” I couldn’t say anything, so I just pointed to the closed curtains.

“He’ll be fine. He always escapes death, this time would be no exception.” Yoseob said.

I said nothing, except stare at the curtains.

“Where is Ji Eun and Tae Hyun? And Jace?” Hyunseung asked suddenly.

“Oh! They should be here too!” I said, standing up, looking around.

I saw Jace walking out from one of the rooms, looking like he would pass out any moment.

“JACE!” I yelled.

He looked up tiredly before flashing a smile.

“Hey~” He said as he walked towards us.

“Are you alright? Sit down, sit down.” Dongwoon said, pushing him lightly to sit down.

“Junhyung has a hell lot of strength.” He mumbled.

“Where’s Tae Hyun and Ji Eun?” I asked.

“There. No injuries whatsoever, just asleep.” He said, pointing to one of the rooms.

I was about to go over when he caught my arm.

“Is he... Okay?” He asked.

“I don’t know.” I mumbled as I walked to where Tae Hyun and Ji Eun are.

I opened the door, watching my two angels sleep soundly. Should I be glad that they were unconscious throughout the entire ordeal? What kind of shock would they be in if they saw us fighting? If they saw Junhyung go to her? If they saw Junhyung hit Jace? If they saw Junhyung get shot?

“Umma…” I heard a small voice call out.

I looked over to see Ji Eun waking up.

“Baby, are you feeling okay?” I asked, hugging her.

She yawned as she snuggled her face into my chest.

“Sweepy..” She mumbled.

“Hahahaha okay okay. Want to continue sleeping?” I asked.

She nodded.

“Carwy~” She said, putting her arms over my neck.

“Sure, sure.” I carried her up, patting her back lightly as she drifted back into sleep.

There was a knock on the door and it opened, revealing Kikwang.

“The doctor is looking for you.” He said hurriedly.

He stretched out his arms to take Ji Eun from me.

“Carry him too please.” I said, pointing to Tae Hyun as I hurried out.

“You’re Haneul? You’re his…?” The doctor asked.

“Someone close. What is it?” I asked.

“We need to operate on him immediately to get the bullet out.” He said.

“Alright, then do it.” I said.

“But our operating theaters are full.” He said.

“And so!? What do you want me to do!? Shall we do it in my house!?” I yelled.

“Calm down.” Yoseob whispered as he nudged me.

“We need your permission to proceed with the operation here.” He said.

“HERE!?” We yelled in unison.

“Yes, here. This is the only way. At least, we have to get the bullet out first. Other things can wait, but not the bullet. Fortunately for him, the bullet missed his heart by 1cm, but it is still in a dangerous position.” He said.

“But here… Without any proper equipment and all…” I mumbled.

“That’s why we need your permission.” He said.

“Is it going to be painful? I don’t want him to be in anymore pain than he already is.” I said.

“We’ll have anesthesia but it wouldn’t be sufficient to put him to sleep. He would be awake throughout the extraction of the bullet.” He said.

“The reason why he is in the hospital is to ease his pain, why are you putting him more pain? Why can’t you give him a full body anesthesia and just let him go through this easily?” I asked.

“We can’t do it here.” He said.

“Does he approve?” I asked.

“He said to ask Haneul.” He said.

“Idiot.” I mumbled.

“Can I go in?” I asked.

“You may. But make the decision quick.” He said.

I went into the room, looking at Junhyung who had his eyes closed.

“Junroro.” I called out, cupping his cold cheeks.

He opened his eyes, smiling weakly at me.

“Don’t pull it away.” I said, stopping him from removing the oxygen mask.

“Junroro, I know it’s uncomfortable, I know it’s painful, but we’ll do it, okay? We’ll go through this together, okay?” I asked.

“Anything… you say..” He smiled, pulling off the oxygen mask anyway.

The boys stood at the door, looking at us.

“Hi..~” Junhyung smiled.

“Idiot.” Doojoon laughed.

“We’ll do it.” I said to the doctor.

“But… Can I stay with him?” I asked.

“It’s not going to be a pleasant sight.” He said.

“It’s okay. I don’t mind.” I said.

“Alright then. Keep talking to him.” He said.

“Don’t be scared. I am here with you.” I said, holding his hand tight.

“I am… not scared.” He said.

“Of course you aren’t. But I am.” I said.

“Don’t be.. It’s not.. you.” He said.

“But it’s you, silly.” I pinched his nose lightly.

“Where’s Ji Eun and… Tae Hyun?” He asked.

“Asleep, but alive. Thank you so much.” I said.

“Ja..ce?” He asked.

“You hit him real bad, didn’t you?” I said.

“Sorry…” He pouted.

“I… I did not… do anything.. with her..” He said.

“I know. I know.” I assured him.

“And I.. I did not mean any… Of those horrible things.. I said to you.” He said.

“I know that. I understand.” I said.

“You know… I love you… Right?” He asked.

“Of course.” I said.

“More than… I love.. Coke.” He said.

“So can we forget about the roomful of Coke?” I asked.

“NO! Ughhh..” He groaned in pain.

“Shhh shhh.. We’ll not forget it. I’ll still get it for you. Relax.” I said.

“Junroro, ni zhi dao wo hen ai ni, dui ma?” I said.

“What? Don’t… Speak.. Chinese..” He said.

“Wo hen ai ni. Wo mei you gen ni tan bai guo, dan shi wo hen xu yao ni, wo bu neng mei you ni.” I said.

“What? Please… Don’t.. I don’t.. understand..” He frowned.

“Ni bu zhi shi wo de ai ren na me jian dan. Ni shi wo de ying xiong.” I said.

“Wo men dou hen xu yao ni.” I said.

He frowned, shaking his head in confusion.

“You want to know what I said?” I asked.

He nodded.

“Then promise me you’ll be okay. When you’re okay, I’ll tell you.” I said.

“Tell me…” He pleaded.

“Nope. I’ll tell you when you’re well.” I said.

“But I… I…” He started gasping for air.

“Junroro! Yah!!” I slapped his arm hard.

The doctor looked as shocked as I am. There was a lot of blood around.

“One of his major arteries got cut by accident. He’s losing a lot of blood.” The doctor admitted, still in shock.

“Junroro! You want your Coke, you want your Pikachu, you want your Ironman suit, you want to know what I said! You got to stay with me! You got to be alive to get all those things!” I yelled.

He was losing conscious gradually.

“You can’t die! You can’t leave me now! You can’t! Not now, not without my permission! You got to live forever, remember!? You’re a robot! You don’t just break down and die like that!!” I kept shaking his face.

“You can’t die! Please!! I beg you!! Remember the future we said we’ll create!? How am I going to do it alone!? How!? Junroro, how!?” I yelled.

“I… I…” He mumbled before losing conscious totally.

“Junroro~” I shook him.

“Junroro please~” I pleaded, shaking him lightly.

We froze when we heard the dreaded sound. We turned over to the heart rate monitor and was greeted by a straight line.
