Clarify
I'm DifferentJunhyung’s POV
“Junnie!” Yoseob called out.
I turned back to see them running towards me.
“We kept calling you!” Doojoon said.
“Sorry. I think I didn’t hear my phone ring.” I said, checking my phone.
Indeed, they called me five times.
“Did something happen? Why were you dazing out?” Hyunseung asked.
“I saw… Haneul.” I said.
“WHAT!? WHERE!? WHERE!?” They shouted, looking around.
“She left.” I sighed as I continued to walk.
“Why didn’t you hold onto her!? How could you let her leave!? Yah! Yong Junhyung!!” They shouted.
“She’s married, alright!?” I yelled.
They froze and stared at me in shock.
“She has a daughter. Then what am I supposed to do?” I asked.
“But it’s only… Three years. How could it be?” Kikwang mumbled.
“The kid doesn’t look more than two.” I said.
“Did you ask her? Did you clarify stuff with her?” Dongwoon asked.
I shook my head.
“Why not!?” Yoseob yelled.
“I was in shock!” I shouted.
“Let’s talk in the room. Stop yelling. We’re in public.” Doojoon hushed us.
When we were in the room, I told them everything.
“Although it may seem like how it is, but at least ask her to clarify stuff.” Dongwoon said.
“I don’t know.” I said, burying my face into the pillow.
“Junhyung ah~” Hyunseung slapped my .
“I want to sleep.” I said.
I guess they knew what I meant when I said I wanted to sleep because they all left, leaving me alone in the room. The moment I heard the door close, it was as thou the sound unlocked the dam that was blocking the tears in my eyes from flowing.
I must have fallen asleep while crying because when I woke up again, the boys were all back and asleep. I sat up as gently as I could so as not to wake them up. I saw a pack of food on the table. I didn’t have the appetite to eat, but I shall not let them down. I washed up and headed outside with the packet of food.
I went to the lobby and sat down. I poked my food as I looked around. I couldn’t bring myself to eat, not even a bite. My eyes landed on a family at the side. The parents were feeding their children. I once thought that I would be able to do this with Haneul, but after today, I don’t think so. What a happy family, I thought to myself.
“Stop staring. You’re going to get punched if you continue.” A familiar voice said.
I looked up and saw Haneul. She was holding the little girl from just now. My heart felt as thou it was on a roller coaster ride. I had so many emotions at one time. I wanted to cry, I wanted to smile, I wanted to laugh, I wanted to scream. I didn’t know what I wanted honestly.
“Mommy!” The little girl whined.
“Alright, sweetheart. Let’s go.” She said, walking off.
“Haneul ah! Haneul!” I got up quickly, grabbing onto her hand.
The little girl frowned and pushed me away. She may be young and the push didn’t have much impact, but I was still taken aback. Haneul shot her a warning glare and she pouted, looking away.
“What is it?” Haneul asked.
“Can we talk? Please.” I pleaded.
Haneul looked at the girl, then at the clock, and then back at me.
“If you can wait for about half an hour…” She said.
“I can! I will!” I said.
“Where?” She asked.
“I’ll wait for you there.” I pointed at the seat where I sat just now.
She nodded and picked the girl up before heading into the lift.
Even if things end up how I thought they would be, at least I have my clarification.
