some ultra taeny cuddling fluff to scare the rain away?
The wonderful weather of bright sun and partly cloudy skies was replaced with heavy rain and harsh winds. Little Kim Seo JuHyun’s eyes brightened when she saw the weather outside. She loved it when it rained, even with the ominous sounds of thunder that normally scared your average child. Nope, not this little girl. Because rainy days were the best days in the Kim household.
She bounded over to the kitchen to find her umm making her traditional hot chocolate that they always seemed to consume on days such as this.
"Umma! Can I have marshmallows in mine?" she peered up with wide eyes.
Tiffany giggled as she gave her daughter a warm pat on the shoulder, “Of course you can, Juhyun.”
Seohyun smiled before turning to her appa who tried sneaking up on her, “I see you appa~”
Taeyeon picked up her little girl and twirled her around in the air with her ahjumma laugh, “And I got you my little maknae.”
Squeals of laughter escaped Seohyun’s mouth before she was brought back onto the ground, “Appa~ I’m your only child.”
"Exactly, that still makes your our baby maknae." Tiffany played with her daughter’s chubby cheeks who in turn pouted.
Taeyeon chuckled as she tried to appease the little girl, “C’mon, Juhyun-ah, let’s go pick out the book you want read today.”
Seohyun’s pout was immediately replaced with a smile; she got to choose the book today. It was a bit of a tradition that the Kim household would have hot chocolate and read a book together while snuggled on the couch by their pretend campfire. They didn’t have a fireplace but her appa always put a lava lamp on the coffee table that acted like a campfire.
After Seohyun picked out the book, her and her appa returned to the living room to find the couch all set up. Two mugs of hot chocolate sat on the coffee table. The first mug was rather large while the second mug was of a smaller size.
Her appa and umma always shared hot chocolate. They always had a laugh whenever her appa took a sip because she always managed to have a chocolate mustache on her face. It always made the little girl happy. What made her more happy was that she had the privilege of drinking all of her own hot chocolate.
The proceeded to sit on the couch, her appa sitting down first followed by her umma who sat between her appa’s legs. Seohyun’s spot was always in her umma’s lap.
"So what have we got here? Another Harry Potter book?" Tiffany giggled while Taeyeon ruffled Seohyun’s hair who let a grunt of dissatisfaction.
Taeyeon was always amazed by her daughter’s intellectual level for the book was a bit advanced for her, “Another one. I think we left off on chapter eight last time, right maknae?”
Seohyun smiled as she snuggled into her parents. Her appa had her umma in a tight back hug and the book was finally cracked opened.
“Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid’s pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds…”
Tiffany’s voice carried on in reading which led Seohyun’s imagination to soar. This right here was her favorite.
Cuddling on a rainy day while reading a book with the best parents anyone could ask for.
