“Dressed for where?” Hoku asked confused after picking up the call from Jiyong.

“Just get dressed, wear something comfortable.” He mentioned over the phone as she stared at the 4 girls sitting amongst her in the living room. “Alright.”

She mentioned hesitantly before the line cut.

“What is he up to?” She whispered looking down to the phone in her hand.

“What’s up?” Dara asked as she sighed looking up.

“Jiyong wants me to get ready for tonight, he said he’s taking me somewhere for my surprise.” She mentioned as the girls smiled at each other.

“Then I guess that’s our cue to leave.” Bom mentioned standing and stretching with the rest of the girls.

“Awh, but I wanted to hang out with you girls longer.” Hoku mentioned carefully standing before a piercing pain went through her body.

“Ais-.” She stared quickly grabbing at her stomach as the girls looked at her panicked.

“Oh my god, are you alright?!” Minzy shouted running towards the woman who just sighed, taking a large breath before nodding.

“No worries, probably just one of those Braxton hicks contractions the doctor told me about.’ Hoku laughed it off as the girls stared at her worried.

“No worries, I’m fine, go.” Hoku ushered the girls forcefully to the door.

“Are you sure, you look pale.” CL pointed out as Hoku snorted, brushing it off.

“Just tired is all, now that you mention it, I need to take a dump too.” She jokingly remarked as the girls hesitantly left. Once the door was shut, Hoku’s hand darted over to her stomach.

“Aish.” She rubbed hoping the pain would go away. She was only about 7 months; it was still too early for the baby to come.

“Alright, just cooperate with me tonight, alright?” She whispered to the baby as she waddled down the hallway towards their room to shower. As worried as she was, she didn’t want to ruin the night or worry Jiyong with so much on his plate already.

Hoku took a shower as fast as her stomach would let her before she waddled out into the room for the clothes she had laid out. She didn’t know what to expect so she pulled out one of the few dresses that still fit her, slipping it over her head before zipping up the side. Smiling, glad that it still fit her perfectly. Adding a few accessories, bangles and earrings, she was interrupted by her phone ringing.

“Who is it now?” She whispered waddling over to see that it was her mother calling.

“Hi mom.” She answered holding the phone to her ear as she waddled over to the closet to pull out her sandals.

“Hi sweetheart. How is everything?” She asked as Hoku sighed, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

“Tiring.” She whined as her mother chuckled.

“Well no one said motherhood would be easy.” Her mother pointed out as Hoku now walked out of the room to go wait for Jiyong in the living room.

“How are you feeling? Any changes?” her mother asked as Hoku stopped turning to look at the rack that the girls had helped her move back into the room.

“Actually, I wanted to ask you about something mom, but I don’t want anyone to know, alright?” Hoku offered taking a comfortable seat on the couch.

“What is it? Are you alright?” She asked worried as Hoku sighed.

“I’ve been having pain in my stomach at random times since this morning.” Hoku admitted as the line went quiet.

“What type of pain? Cramping?” He mother asked as Hoku’s eyes looked to her bump.

“No, pain that makes me cringe in a ball but I’m not sure if it’s those Braxton Hick Contractions the doctor told me.” Hoku mentioned as Paula nodded.

“It could be dear, but remember, I went into labor early with you, so you have a chance that it might also happen to you.” Paula offered as Hoku sighed, turning her attention towards the entrance door.

“But if it gets to the point that it’s unbearable, give Dr. Jin a call to be sure.” She scolded as Hoku snorted.

“I know mom.” She whined before hearing the pair of keys going to unlock the door.

“Well I need to head out mom.” Hoku stood from the couch just as Jiyong walked in, smiling over at her.

“Oh plans tonight?” Paula chuckled quietly already knowing what was planned.

“Jiyong wants to go out tonight, so I guess you could say that.” Hoku mentioned back as Jiyong walked over to wait for her.

“Well I’ll fly in in  a few weeks for your labor, anything you need from home?” Paula asked as Hoku turned her attention back to the phone.

“Can you bring Jolie home? I miss her.” Hoku whined causing Jiyong to chuckle at her face.

“She misses you too dear.”
