Author’s POV…

Everything was falling apart tonight, but being that it was a special night, everyone kept their cool, kept their smiles plastered to their faces. After the small argument in the hallway, everyone had made sure that nothing would slip up to the new couple. Hoku found refuge at the table where her date had been waiting, while the others packed back up into the wedding party area.

“Hey, what took you so long?” Michael asked worried once Hoku took a seat back down. She just sighed and looked over to him smiling.

“There was a line.” She lied as he nodded, smiling before reaching over to hold her hand. Before long, many of the YG family members had come over to see Hoku, especially YG.

“It’s so good to see you again.” He said as she smiled hugging the older man.

“Nice to see you again sir.” She mentioned back causing him to chuckle.

“So are you here just for the wedding?” He asked gesturing out to the dance floor before she smiled and shook her head.

“Unfortunately my father sent me here for some business too.” She pointed out before he nodded.

“Funding?” He asked as she chuckled and nodded.

“How long are you going to be in Korea then?” He asked interested as she looked down to Michael.

“2 weeks.” She answered before he nodded.

“Perfect, could you actually meet with me when your free?” he asked as her eyes opened widely.

“For what sir?” She asked hesitantly causing him to smile and pat her shoulder.

“2NE1 has their Asian Tour this year, I wanted to see if you’re father’s company wouldn’t mind helping to fund it?” He spoke before she smiled. Of course there was no way she would be able to tell YG no, in turn she just smiled and nodded.

“You still have the same number?” He asked as she nodded.

“Who was that?” Michael asked once she had sat down and YG was gone. She chuckled, taking a sip of her water.

“He’s the company boss of Big Bang.” She informed as he nodded, suddenly not all that interested in it.

Jiyong had been sitting at the wedding party table, drinking, and drinking.

“Hyung, just because it’s an open bar I don’t think it means you have to literally drink every bottle there.” Seungri whined over to Jiyong seeing the stacks of bottles now collecting in front of him. Jiyong just snorted, opening another bottle on the edge of the table before pouring it into his glass.

“How could she come here with someone?” Jiyong spat slamming his empty cup down, no one could hear him over the blaring music.

“Ji, calm down, remember where you are and why you’re here.” Top quickly mentioned over to the idol that just sighed and planted his forehead on the table annoyed.

“Someone just kill me now, I can’t take it anymore.” He muttered under his breath before Daesung walked over.

“The girls want a dance.” Daesung explained to Seungri since TOP had basically no date again.

“Seungri go, I’m staying with Ji.” Top ushered grabbing one of the bottles to join Jiyong in a race to drink the most.

“Hyung….what happened to ‘remember who you are and why you’re here’?” Seungri pointed out to Top who sighed, letting the alcohol run down his throat.

“I said that before realizing that I need this too.” Top pointed out shooing off the pair as they left.

“Hyung, how did we get ourselves in such a hole?” Jiyong mumbled over to Top whose head was hanging back off the chair.

“Because life hates us and this is what happens when karma wants to bite us in the .” Top mentioned back over causing Jiyong to sigh loudly.

“I hate life, I hate love, I hate it all.” Jiyong toasted to himself, taking another swig of the alcohol.

“At least she looks happy.” Jiyong muttered resting his chin on the table as he watched the reason for living and another man dance on the dance floor.

“Ji, she always looks happy.” Top muttered before Jiyong rolled his eyes annoyed.

“I haven’t danced in forever.” Hoku mentioned over to Michael as they easily danced in the middle of the mob.
“You should have seen Hoku back when we she was living here, getting her off the dance floor was the problem.” Eden admitted over before Hoku reached over to shut , nervously laughing to Michael’s confused face. They were all having a ton of fun, Seungri, Youngbae, Eden and Selena were actually warming up to Michael. They thought he was a cool guy, so after a while they didn’t really mind him.

“I’m gonna get a smoke, you gonna be ok by yourself?” Michael mentioned over to Hoku who just turned to him and nodded.

“Don’t worry, she won’t get lost.” Seungri mentioned laughing before Michael hesitantly nodded and walked away from the group. Not 2 minutes later, the song switched to something slow. Hoku began to excuse herself before a hand grabbed hers. She looked up thinking it was Michael only to have her words stolen from her.

“Can I have a dance?” He asked staring at her with no expression. She looked around not wanting to make a scene; she carefully slid her hand out of his before nodding hesitantly. She noticed the small spark of a smile on his face as she followed behind him to the dance floor. Jiyong turned to her, holding one hand out before pulling her to his chest. She blushed in surprise when his hand rested naturally on her waist while he hand rested on his shoulder. His familiar scent mixed with the alcohol he seemed to consume tonight filled her senses. Doesn’t help that she’s pregnant, suddenly the lump in her moved startling her. Jiyong pulled away from her confused.

“Are you alright? If you don’t want to dance it’s fine, just say so.” He mentioned hurt before she laughed nervously before shaking her head.

“No, it’s fine.” She answered as he nodded.

“You look nice tonight.” Jiyong mentioned causing Hoku to blush and look away.

“Thanks.” She answered looking around the room, anywhere but him.

“How are you?” he then asked as she sighed.

“I’m fine, everything is fine.” She reassured before Jiyong nodded looking over to their friends who were just staring at them expectantly.

“Is he your boyfriend?” He suddenly asked causing Hoku to choke back on her saliva and turn to him.

“Excuse me?” she asked unsure as to what she heard.

“That guy, is he your boyfriend?” He asked again, avoiding her eyes. She was slightly upset that this was definitely what he wanted to talk about.

“Yes, why?” She asked as she watched his eyes shut tightly before he looked away.

“Why did you bring him here?” He asked through his teeth causing her to scoff annoyed.

“Eden’s my friend, I can bring whoever I please with me.” Hoku mentioned annoyed trying to pull away, only to feel his grip tighten on her.

“It’s wrong, you just broke up with me a few months ago, then you show up flaunting him around me.” Jiyong snapped through his teeth now glaring at me.

“Let me go, now.” She threatened before a hand showed up on Jiyong’s shoulder. They both turned to the owner to see Michael back from his smoke.

“I think you need to let go of my girlfriend.” Michael hissed causing Jiyong’s eyes to light up in flames. Great. What a way to end the night.
