A few days had passed and finally today was the day everyone in YG was waiting for, Hoku and Jiyong were finally going to find out what the gender of the baby would be, well for those who knew. Hoku woke up to prepare for the day, a quick shower, thanks to the leg brace that was now nowhere in sight.

“I wonder if he’s here?” Hoku whispered to herself as she peeked out of her door down the hallway. She had taken what her mother had said to heart, she knew Jiyong cared for her and the baby a lot from everything she had witnessed from living with him for these weeks, she needed to give him a chance, but she was so embarrassed to having to admit that had been wrong all along. This was her giving him a chance.

“Jiyong?” She called out into the living room, slowly walking. She had only gotten her brace off yesterday, so her leg was beyond stiff and slightly sore.

“Jiyong?” She called out again as she peeked around in the empty apartment before sighing.

“He must have gone to work.” She whispered limping into the kitchen to see the usual piece of paper sitting on the table.

She sighed, placing the paper down before pulling out her phone. She needed someone to go with her, Jiyong was busy but she felt horrible if someone else went with her to such an important appointment while Jiyong had no idea. Sighing in annoyance, she clicked on his name before waiting for him to answer.

“Hello?” He answered as her heart raced.

“Um hey, it’s me.” She mentioned as the line went quiet.

“Oh, are you ok? You need something?” He asked instantly worried causing her to chuckle.

“No, I’m fine, are you busy?” She asked looking up to the living room.

“Um, I’m with Teddy hyung in the studio, what’s up?” He asked as she clenched her fists, trying to gain her courage.

“I wanted to know if you wanted to go somewhere with me today.” She whispered embarrassed causing Jiyong’s eyes to shoot open.

“Somewhere? When?” He asked confused as she let go of a breath.

“We’re finding out what the gender of the baby is today.” She mentioned causing him to fall out of his chair scaring Teddy.

‘What?! Why didn’t you tell me?” He whined quickly climbing off the ground.

“Sorry about that, I forgot until this morning, but my appointment is in 20 minutes so I called to see if you wanted to come with me.” Hoku mentioned smiling as he made a few unreadable hand movements over to Teddy who just nodded in confusion before watching the running idol leave the room.

“What was that about?” Teddy whispered as Top walked in smiling.

“They’re finding out what the baby is today.” Top pointed out being one of the few that knew.

“I’m on my way, I’ll be right there.” He quickly said hanging up as Hoku smiled.

“As eager as ever.” She mumbled to herself smiling. She slipped on a hat to keep the sun out of her face, grabbing her necessities into her oversized purse before slipping her feet into a pair of flats. She slightly limped out of the door and down the hallway towards the elevator.

“Ji, where are you going? I thought we were recording today?” Youngbae called after the running idol that basically pushed him to the side.

“Hoku’s doctor’s appointment.” Jiyong quickly shouted after causing Youngbae to chuckle.

“Good Luck!” Youngbae shouted to the man already running down the emergency stairs.

“That guy.” Youngbae whispered smiling before making his way towards the studio Jiyong had just run out of.

“Exciting day for Ji.” Youngbae announced into the room as the two other nodded.

“What do you guys think it’ll be?” Teddy asked turning to them as TOP smiled.

“I think it’ll be a girl.” TOP quickly said as they looked to him amused.

“Why do you think that?” Youngbae asked sitting down as TOP shrugged his shoulders.

“Not sure, just a guess.” He explained as Youngbae nodded.

“Then I bet it’s a boy.” He added causing TOP to look over interested.

“Oh you do now?” TOP asked with a hand on his hip staring down at the younger man.

“Oh is this a bet? I want in then.” Teddy interjected as the guys began placing bets on what it would be.

Hoku climbed off the elevator into the lobby area of the apartment building, keeping her eyes on the street ahead of the building as she waited. Shaken from her relaxing mode, her phone began to ring in her bag. She pulled it in front of her before digging out her phone, sighing when she saw who was calling.

“Selena?” She answered into the phone, turning her attention back up to the road.

“No, it’s me noona.” Seungri’s voice whined causing her mood to brighten.

“Oh Seungri, what’s up?” She asked smiling as he chuckled.

“I called to check on you.” He whispered.

“Why are we whispering?” She asked confused.

“I’m hiding from Selena, I wanted to call you earlier but she wouldn’t let me. She says I’m bugging you.” He whined causing Hoku to smile.

“No, you’re not bugging me, I thought it was her, that is bugging.” She jokingly added causing Seungri to laugh.

“Hey, that’s not fair, I have to live with her.” He whined as Hoku laughed.

“So you called to check on me?” Hoku asked smiling at his sweet gesture.

“Yah, is there any updates on the baby?” He asked interested. Seungri had been one of the boys that were so excited about the babies, knowing Selena, and how stubborn she was with kids, even if Seungri wanted his own kids, it would be a while.

“I’m actually on my way to find out the gender.” Hoku informed as Seungri gasped.

“REALLY?!” He shouted excited as she laughed.

“Yah, Jiyong’s picking me up right now.” She informed.

“Ah, Hyung is. That’s good noona, that’s a good step forward.” He mentioned causing her to smile.

“Give Hyung a chance noona, his intentions are good. He’s always wanted a family.” Seungri added as she smiled larger seeing his white Bentley pull out front.

‘Keep this a secret, but I’m giving him a chance.” Hoku mentioned grabbing her bag as Seungri gasped before cheering.

“YEY NOONA!” Seungri shouted happily as Hoku smiled.

“I’m leaving now, so I’ll call you later with updates.” Hoku explained seeing Jiyong run up the stairs towards the doors.

“Alright noona.” Seungri hung up as Jiyong ran in out of breath surprised to see her already walking towards him.

“That’s a new record.” Hoku teased as he smiled, holding her arm to help her out to the car waiting at the curb. It had been a few weeks since she had even stepped out of the apartment since coming back from Japan, so the moment people recognized her, they began to gather around. Jiyong slipped her into the passenger seat before shutting it and running to his side. They pulled away from the curb before Hoku sighed, watching the apartment disappear in the distance.

“Thanks for inviting me.” Jiyong spoke as she smiled over to him.

“No problem, I figured you should be there for this too.” She mentioned as he smiled.

“Actually, I needed to ask you about something.” He added as Hoku looked to him expectantly.

“What’s wrong?” She asked concerned as he smiled.

“My parents are actually begging me to bring you over. They understand our relationship so don’t worry about having to prove anything.” He said comforting causing her to smile.

“Our relationship?” Hoku asked before he nodded and sighed.

“I know you still don’t trust me, but I want to give us a shot again. I understand if you don’t want to give me a chance again, just don’t leave me out of my child’s life.” His voice sounded shaky and begging.

“I would never do that Jiyong.” She whispered as he looked over to her with watery eyes.

“I’m sorry I’ve been such a stubborn these past few weeks and months, I’ve doubted everything anyone’s ever told me about you. I’m sorry.” Hoku whispered looking down to her lap as Jiyong just stared over at her in shock.

“Wait? What?” He asked confused causing her to chuckle.

“Let’s start over.”
