They finished their awkward breakfast session in complete silence before Hoku excused herself from the table to begin washing dishes.

“Just sit, relax, I got it.’ Jiyong reassured gently pushing her out of the way of the sink as she stood aside to watch him. Was it bad to feel that this was a natural thing? That this should be a natural thing? She put whatever food was still sitting out back into the fridge before turning to hear him humming a familiar tune at the sink.

“Bruno Mars?” She asked arching an eyebrow in amusement as he chuckled and looked over his shoulder.

“Oh, you recognized it?” He asked surprised as she smiled and nodded, shutting the fridge.

“I’ve been listening to the song a lot lately.” She admitted in a whisper walking into the living room. Jiyong stood there surprised with the water running on his hands, she had just mentioned she had been listening to the same song he had been listening to since she left him. Was it fate? Couldn’t be. He quickly finished the dishes before shutting off the water and drying his hands. Walking quietly into the living room he peeked around the corner to see her going through what seemed to be their movie collection under their entertainment system. He stood there watching her quietly as she pulled out a few before going through them and putting them back. He chuckled when he realized what she was doing. She flinched in surprise before turning to him surprised before growling in annoyance.

“You still do that?” He asked surprised walking in before sitting on the couch, watching her.

“Oh shut up.” She hissed causing him to laugh even harder.

“So you’re going to organize everything, even his CD’s into alphabetical order?” Jiyong asked amused pulling his legs up onto the couch. She snorted ignoring his statement, but in reality she was smiling down at the DVD’s in her hand. It was like old times, he would sit there and about her OCD. She did it to everyone’s things, it was only a matter of time before she did it to Selena and Seungri’s things.

“Omo.” She spoke holding a certain DVD in her hand as he perked up from his cellphone.
“What’s wrong?” He asked sitting up before looking over to see the DVD in her hand.

“Oh, that movie.” Jiyong spoke smiling at the memories.

“You remember watching this?” She asked holding it out, turning to him to see him smile.

“Ms. Congeniality.” He chuckled and nodded causing her to smile. They had watched this movie on more than one occasion while they were dating, it never got old how funny the show was, they both loved it.

“You want to watch it?” Hoku then asked over embarrassed as he smiled.

“I would love to.” He answered as she pulled herself off the ground before slipping it into the DVD player. She pulled her blanket off the couch before taking a seat a cushion away from Jiyong. They watched in silence before her phone began to vibrate on the table. She sat up and looked over to see Selena was calling her. Jiyong noticed the ID and slightly sighed in relief that it wasn’t who he thought it was.

“Hello?” Hoku answered turning back to the movie.

“I’m fine, I can take care of myself you know.” She whined causing Jiyong to smile.

“No, it’s fine.” She answered sighing.

“Oh, we’re watching one of your movies right now.” Hoku explained taking a glance over at Jiyong who looked immersed in the movie.

“Don’t worry what movie.” Hoku spat annoyed causing Jiyong to chuckle.

“Alright, alright, I got it.” Hoku whined before sighing.

“Yah, yah, yah, bye.” She said quickly hanging up before tossing her phone to the ground.

“What did she need?” Jiyong asked never moving his eyes as she tried to get comfortable again.

“Just checking in on me.” Hoku sighed as he nodded and they continued to watch the movie. It was a strange feeling sitting here so close to the person that was either the reason your heart beat or the reason your heart hurt. Hoku couldn’t help but to be constantly moving in her seat, it wasn’t uncomfortable but uneasy for her to sit there, so close to him. His cologne was as intoxicating as always, it was causing the little one inside her to begin kicking and doing flips. She yelped in shock when she felt a large jump, Hoku covered in surprise before looking over.

“Are you ok?” He asked concerned while she nervously chuckled.

“I’m fine.” She answered looking away quickly as he continued to stare at her.

“Are you sure? It didn’t sound like it was ok?” Jiyong mentioned as she looked over to him, losing herself in his warm brown eyes.

“The baby….” She started looking down at he sat up slightly panicked.

“Is it ok?” He asked with wide eyes causing her to chuckle and nod at his panicked expression.

“It just moved, that’s all.” She answered as his eyes widened before looking down to where her hand rested on her stomach.

She turned her attention back to the movie, but she could feel the stare on her still, he hadn’t moved. She looked over to see him thinking about something but his attention was directed to the hand on her stomach.

“Are you ok?” She asked confused as he blinked, turning away confused before coughing.

“Oh yah, I’m fine.” He said innocently as she smiled looking down to her stomach then up to him.

“You want to feel it?” She asked nervously, it was one giant step towards telling him the truth. He turned to her surprise by what she had asked, he adjusted in his seat to face her fully.

“I can?” He asked unsure as she smiled and nodded, moving her hand aside before gesturing for him to do so.

“Are you sure? I don’t have to.” He whined as she smiled, grabbing his hand before placing it on her stomach. He gasped in surprise when his hand landed on her bump. She felt that same warm feeling rising inside her stomach before there was a flutter. She smiled feeling it before looking over to Jiyong’s wide eyes and gaped jaw.

“It…….moved.” He whispered keeping his eyes on the bump under his hand, giving it a gentle rub. She couldn’t help but smile as she watched his face brighten up along with hers. One step at a time.
