“You alright?” He asked worried as she nodded.

“I just got an idea for the empty intro.” She explained as both him and YG who was now sitting next to him nodded.

“Would it be alright if I said something to Jiyongie during that part?” She asked unsure as Teddy spoke off mic to YG who just simply listened and nodded.
“Alright baby girl, it’s fine with us. Just speak in a happy voice, not too loud though.” Teddy pointed out as she nodded, putting the earphones back to her head before turning to the mic.

The intro started as she leaned forward, holding the earphones to her ears.

Hoku whispered into the mic before smiling and pulling away just as Teddy cut the music.

“Was that alright?” Hoku asked unsure as Teddy chuckled before turning his mic on.

“Let’s play it back, alright?” Teddy mentioned as Hoku nodded, and quickly slipped her earphones on to listen to what she had recorded. It didn’t sound half bad to be honest.

“Ohhh, I like it!” She chirped turning to look at their approving expressions.

“Alright, we’ll move then?” Teddy asked as Hoku nodded, clearing before turning to the lyrics sheet.

“We’ll try the first verse one time through without stopping. Just do it how you want to.” Teddy explained as Hoku nodded, feeling her stomach do flips as she stood nervously. The beat started as she shut her eyes bobbing her head to the music.

She took a deep breath before opening to have a go.

Hoku pulled away from the mic after the first verse, coughing from the strain on her voice before looking over to the two quiet men sitting there, just staring at her.

“Was it alright?” She asked unsure into the mic as Teddy blinked before sitting forward to speak into the mic.

“Baby girl.” He started as she nodded hesitantly.

“That was amazing.” He praised sighing with a smile as both of their eyes traveled to the still unspoken man.

“Sir?” Hoku called unsure as YG cleared his throat before leaning forward.

“Instead of being their publicist, you should just sing for a living.” He teased causing both of them to chuckle.

“No, no, no sir, I couldn’t. I’m not built for a singer. I’ll leave that career to Jiyongie.” Hoku quickly explained as YG sighed, leaning back.

“Well whenever you change your mind, you know how to contact me.” He teased as she chuckled and nodded.

That day, Hoku continued to sing the song with all the feelings in her heart. Both YG and Teddy would have never thought such a voice would come off such a person, but there is always a first for everything.

“How’s noona?” Seungri asked once they had a break from the photo shoot they were doing for g-Market. Jiyong sighed from his seat before looking over to the Maknae.

“She’s fine. She had to meet with YG again today.” Jiyong sighed tired as Seungri nodded.

“So does that mean my princess is with her?” Daesung whined causing Jiyong to growl and look over his shoulder at the blonde man.

“YA! That’s MY princess.” Jiyong spoke defensively as the others chuckled.

“Oh come one hyung, you know what I mean.” Daesung whined as Jiyong snorted turning back to the mirror.

“When yours is here, you’ll understand.” Jiyong muttered as Youngbae walked in from the shoot.

“So what are you guys doing this weekend for your birthday? Does Hoku-ah have something planned?” Top asked as Jiyong sighed again.

“I don’t think she remembers when my birthday is.” Jiyong whispered playing with the rings around his finger.

“You were her bias, she’s the mother of your daughter. What would make you think she didn’t remember?” Youngbae asked surprised as Jiyong shrugged looking up.

“She hasn’t said anything about it. All she said was that she was going to be busy with work on Saturday, plus we have a schedule that day.” Jiyong groaned before hanging his head back against the chair. Youngbae couldn’t do anything but smile, being the only one in the room that knew anything about the weekend.

“It sounds so good!” Hoku spoke surprised while she listened with the two outside in the main studio. Teddy just nodded in agreement while YG quietly listened with his head bobbing. Scaring everyone except the sleeping child the door opened, causing Teddy to quickly shut it off before turning to see the 2NE1 girls standing there confused.

“Omo! Elle!” Bom squealed running over before carefully pulling up the blanket with a pout.

“Aw, she’s asleep.” Dara whispered, wriggling her finger at her as if she could see.

“Unnie!” Minzy cheered running over before hugging Hoku who smiled, accepting the hugs.

“What are you guys doing here?” Teddy asked as they plopped around the room.

“We just got back from a photo shoot, we thought the Oppa’s were in here.” CL explained as Hoku bit her lip.

“What was that song just now? It sounds awesome! Lee Hi’s?” CL asked as Hoku involuntarily snorted before catching herself. Teddy and YG looked to Hoku unsure what to say.
“What are you guys doing this Saturday night?” Hoku suddenly asked as the girls looked to each other confused.

“Um.” Bom whispered unsure.

“From my understanding, you’re Saturday evening is empty, right?” YG asked amused as they nodded.

“Want to go to party with me?” Hoku asked smirking as they hesitantly nodded.

“Um, sure, for who?” Dara asked confused.

“If I tell you, you all have to promise me not to tell no one, and I mean no one out of this room.” Hoku spoke sternly causing the girls to nod.

“I’m throwing Jiyongie a surprise birthday party at Red.” Hoku explained as their eyes shot open with a smile.
“Really?” Minzy asked excited while Hoku smiled and nodded.

“He doesn’t know?” Bom asked smiling as Hoku shook her head.
“The only one that knows is those in this room, Eden, Steph, Selena and Youngbae oppa.” She explained as the girls nodded.

“But what does that have to do with the song?” Dara asked pointing to the speakers. Hoku bit her lip nervously before sighing in defeat.

“It’s my birthday present to Jiyong.” Hoku explained as their eyes shot open before they shot out of their seats.

“That was you singing unnie?” CL asked shocked. Hoku just smiled before sheepishly scratching the back of her neck.

“Can you play it again oppa?” Minzy asked urgently as Teddy nodded before pressing the space bar, allowing the room to be filled with the beat and Hoku’s voice.

“Omo.” Bom whispered in surprise.

“You’re so good Hoku-ah!” Dara cheered causing Hoku to blush.

“Did you write it unnie?” CL asked shocked while Hoku nodded.

“Wow. It’s so good.” Minzy whined running over to hug Hoku.
