Hoku pulled up confused into the driveway of their house.

“Whose van is that?” She whispered parking her car next to the strange white van parked in their driveway. She hesitantly climbed out before shutting and locking her car. Jiyong’s car was still in the garage which meant he was still home. Pulling her bag up her shoulder, she walked up the pathway before going to the door. Turning the handle and slowly pushing it open she could hear voices inside.

“I’m home!” She called unsure as to who was there.

“Oh she’s home!” Jiyong’s voice pointed out while she shut the door and turned in time to see Jiyong holding an awoken Elle with a man dressed in some sort of work uniform.

“Um hey.” She whispered confused with a smile to Jiyong who smiled.

“Shin-ssi, this is Hoku.” Jiyong introduced to the younger man who quickly bowed.

“It’s so nice to finally meet the both of you.” He chants with a large smile. Hoku was still beyond confused so she just smiled and nodded like a polite person, walking over to Jiyong to talk Elle who had begun to whine.

“Who is he?” Hoku quickly whispered patting Elle’s back to soothe her a bit. Jiyong chuckled knowing well that she didn’t have a clue who this person was.

“He works for a security and alarm company, the best in town. I’m setting up a security system around the house.” Jiyong quickly explained as her eyes shot open in relief.

“You are?” She asked as he smiled and nodded.
“If what you said this morning is true, then I want to take some precautions.” He added turning to Shin before gesturing to the back of the house.

“Thank god for that.” Hoku whispered before hearing the pitter patter of feet running around the corner.
“Omo, Gaho, Jolie!” She sang excited to see both pups now her legs.

“You three must be starving. Appa is so busy.” She whined down to the pups that simply wagged their tails and whimpered.

“Alright, alright, come on.” She gave in quickly and walked towards the kitchen where both pups’ food dishes were sitting.

“Alright sweetie, I’ll get to you in a bit. Just sit here for a second.” She spoke to her daughter, placing her gently into one of the various seats they had lying in random spots of the house. It was just like a car seat, in case they needed to put her down for some sort of emergency, there was one in each room. Jiyong’s idea surprising enough. Strapping her in to be safe, she quickly walked over towards the pantry and pulled out the bag full of dog food.

“Geez, this thing is beyond heavy.” Hoku whispered trying to lift it. Failing miserably. Instead, she grabbed their dishes and walked over to the bucket, filling them before putting them near the doorway.

“Well I should have done that in the first place.” Hoku whispered embarrassed before quickly turning to the wailing child.

“Alright, alright, I hear you.” She announced walking over to her crying daughter before pulling her onto her shoulder.

“Yikes! You smell like you need a diaper change.” Hoku scolded, reaching over and pulling open the top of her diaper.

“Of course your Appa would wait for me to come home.” She sighed patting her screaming daughters back before walking into the living room.

“What’s wrong with her?” Jiyong asked walking in from the backyard. Hoku just scoffed, rolling her eyes.

“Asks the person who left their 2 week old daughter in a dirty diaper for god knows how long.” Hoku snorted before ignoring his apologies and walked into the room.

Hoku quickly changed the screaming child’s diaper, it was a mess. She tossed it before picking her up.

“Alright, alright, shhhhhh.” Hoku cooed into her daughters ear, pushing some of her curls nicely over her head before walking to their rooms balcony doors. It was so hot today. She pushed both doors open, hanging the curtains before freezing when she saw someone standing across the road staring at her. Her blood froze, her heart raced as all sound escaped her. She couldn’t see that far, but something about the figure across the street scared her. All alarms in her head were going off. Finally the sound of her daughters screaming cut off her thoughts. She looked down to her daughter in her arms then up to the street to see the figure gone.

“Alright, alright, I know your hungry.” She whined, swallowing loudly before looking back down to her. She got comfortable on her bed, back to the headboard, she grabbed her feeding pillow, sat it on her lap before lying Elle comfortably across.

Ten minutes later, Hoku was still staring out the balcony doors slightly agitated.

“Baby?” A voice sudden said scaring her as she flinched and looked over to see Jiyong’s worried expression.

“Hey? Are you ok?” He asked quickly crawling across the space of the bed towards her worried. She looked down, ignoring his question to see that Elle had unlatched a while ago, leaving her sleeping.

“Aish, she’s going to throw up if I don’t burp her.” She whispered covering her bare before pulling a grunting child to her shoulder to quickly burp her before she spit up.

“Hey? Baby.” Jiyong called again as she hesitantly looked over, putting a brave face on.

“Are you ok? You look pale.” He pointed out caressing her cheek with his warm hand.

“I’m fine. Fine.” She answered faking a smile before looking to the window again.

“Well everything is set up, camera’s, motion sensors, alarms. The whole 9 yards.” He announced only seeing a small smile spread across her face before it was quickly gone.
“So once you put her down, I’ll show you how to work it.” Jiyong added watching her face for any changed.

“Ok.’ She answered in monotone, never turning to look at him.

“How was your meeting today?” He then asked sitting Indian style, waiting for a change in expression.

“Ok.” She answered the same causing him to sigh.

“I heard you and Top hyung had a few nights ago. How was it?” Jiyong teased wondering if she was going to catch on.

“Ok.” She answered causing him to snort.

“Ya!” He shouted causing her to flinch before glaring over at him.

“Don’t ‘ya’ me! And shhhhhh, she’s asleep.” She scolded pulling her legs off the bed before getting to her feet.

“Did you hear anything I just told you?” He asked following her across the hallway to Elle’s nursery.

“Yah, I heard you. You were talking about your music video shooting right?” She pointed out placing the sleeping child in her crib while Jiyong sighed.

“Baby, I didn’t say anything about my album. Now that she’s asleep, tell me what’s wrong.” Jiyong practically yanked her out of the room and into the hallway, shutting the door quietly behind him.

“Nothing’s wrong. Why would there be something wrong?” Hoku tried to cover it before he sighed, staring at her.

“I told you ‘I heard you and TOP hyung had a few nights ago, how was it?’ and you answered ‘ok’.” Jiyong pointed out causing her eyes to shoot open.

“NO WE DIDN’T!” She shouted before he quickly reached over slapping a hand against .

“What’s wrong?” He asked as she sighed in defeat. There was no way she could hide something from him.

She told Jiyong everything that had happened during the day, from the time she felt she was being watched in the YG parking lot to the time she saw someone just standing across the street staring at her, the same place she saw a few nights before.

Jiyong sighed in annoyance that Hoku did not feel safe, and the fact that he had no idea who this was. Fan? Past connections? Who was it?
