“Oppa!” Little Yoona shouted when she saw Jiyong.

“Oh Yoong!” His face lighted up when he saw her running towards him.

As usual, the both of them would meet up, spending their time together under one of the trees near their house.

“Yoong, do you like oppa?” Jiyong asked as he looked down at his feet.

“Mwuh? Of course! I like Jiyong oppa!” Yoona grinned.

“Then... Lets make a promise shall we?” Jiyong looked up, giving her a smile.

“What kind of promise?” Yoona stared at him with her big doe eyes.

“Lets get married when we grow up!”

“Mwuh? What is married? Does married means I can spend time with oppa all the time? We would be staying in the same house too?” The innocent Yoona asked curiously.

“Yes! We could go out and play together everyday!” Jiyong said excitedly.

“Really? Then lets get married when we grow up!” Yoona's smile extended up to her ears.

“Promise?” Jiyong stretched his pinky out.

“Promise!” Yoona too, stretched out her pinky and hooked it on Jiyong’s pinky.

This was how, a small innocent promise was made between Im Yoona and Kwon Jiyong...

“Jiyong ah, you really want to do it?” Jiyong’s father asked.

“Of course! Becoming a singer had always been my dream! Besides, I am 17 years old this year, I know how to take care of myself when I am in Seoul,” Jiyong answered.

“Arasso, I would let you move to Seoul. But you would have to finish this year in high school first,” his father demanded.

“Chinja?! Kamsahamnida appa!” Jiyong cheered.

8 years have passed by quickly. Both Jiyong and Yoona were in first few years in their high school. Of course, Both of their relationship were still as strong as before. They would go home together after school given that they were still living in the same estate.

As usual, he was waiting for Yoona outside of the school gate.

“Oppa!” he turned his head and saw Yoona walking towards him.

“Oh heys! How was school today?” He smiled.

“It went pretty fine, finally! Another school term has ended,” she grinned. “What were you thinking about just now?”

“M-Mwuh? Nothing! Lets go!” He was startled by her question.

This week would be his last term in high school and he was thinking about telling her the news of him going to Seoul. How would she react? Or should he just go without telling her anything? He didn't know what to do.

“Oppa?”

“Oppa!” she shouted.

“N-Nae?” he stuttered, snapping up.

“Did something happen? You have been really weird since just now,” she pouted.

“Anniyo. Nothing happen, and stop worrying so much,” he composed himself, ruffling her hair.

“Chinja? But just now you-” she continued to be suspicious.

“What if I say I am leaving Busan soon?” He cut off her sentence and threw her another question.

“Mwuh?! You are going to leave Busan?! Where are you going?!” She cried.

“No Yoong, calm down. I mean ‘what if’ I am going to leave this place...” he grabbed her shoulders, trying to calm her down.

“Do you really have to ask this question? Of course I would be sad! We have been like inseparable since young!” she rebutted.

“Arasso arasso,” he pulled her in for a hug. “You don’t have to get so worked up you know, it w-was just a passing remark” he let out a nervous chuckle, trying to pretend everything was fine.

“But it didn’t sound like a passing remark! Who would suddenly ask this type of question?” she gave a hit on his back.

”Since when have you become so sensitive?” he laughed and broke away from the hug. ”Quickly get in before you get a cold”

“Arasso! See you tomorrow oppa!” she smiled and gave a peck on my cheeks before running into her house shyly.

Jiyong sighed. Tomorrow... He wouldn't even have the chance to see her tomorrow or even the day after. He stood there, watching her stepped into her house and closed the door behind her.
