Love is worth fighting for when you're doing it right...

 

I thought that everything will be alright, I thought after what we have done will be enough to fight for our love, but... what's meant to be will be meant to be.

 

I saw it with my own eyes. It was so fast... like a roller coaster. 

 

And it all comes to an end - just like that.

The sound of ringing wakes someone up from her deep slumber. 42 hours later after the devastating accident happened. Her eye lids are heavy and she felt so numb all over her body. She couldn't move an inch. Yet, the beat of her heart, through a machine indicates her normal heart rate. Her breathing is also pretty much normal.

 

But something is weird, at least for her.

 

I... Woke up?

 

Not like she doesn't want to wake up anymore, but she thought, after she saw the brightest light she will no longer see the world. Or specifically, the room she is in - which is obviously a ward for patients.

 

She close her eyes and run her mind rather.

 

What could have happened?

 

Did we broke the curse?

 

Or am I just dreaming?

 

No way. This isn't like heaven. This is like in a hospital. But why am I feeling nothing? My body, it feels so numb.. and I couldn't move.

 

Her eyes opens when she thought of the doe-eyed girl.

 

Yoona... was she okay? I hope she is. Oh dear Lord, please... please... save her.

 

Unconsciously, a lonely tear streams down her right eyes, as she close her eyes again. Recalling what happened and what she saw before she shuts her eyes close, it gives heaviness in chest. It's pounding fast, yet it's hurting.

 

"Omo. You are awake." She heard someone gasping, consequently giving her a reason to open her eyes. Before the figure left in panic, she recognize who was it, her sister. She sighs, yet still thinks about what happened to Yoona. She needed an answer. She needed to know if she has also survive just like her.

 

She closes her eyes again, as she decided to relax herself. There's nothing will happen if she keeps on stressing about the doe-eyed girl. Maybe later, she can ask them. And she hopes, it will be a good news.

 

She couldn't forgive herself if it's the other way around.

Few hours later after she was visited by a doctor, she can now feel her body's pain. She can now move her arms and legs but only a little.  She finds out she had a back injury, the reason she couldn't yet get up. But it wasn't that severe. Sooner or later, she'll recover.

 

"Appa, what about Yoona?" But her question that had been bugging her hasn't yet answered. She tried to ask about it while the doctor is around but they did not hear it. So she decided to ask her father, when the latter stayed over, after Yeri left the ward.

 

"It's not right to talk about her yet. Maybe when yo can already move your back." However, her father declined her question.

 

She frustratingly sighed and tried to reach for her father's hand, but He took an apple in the side and started peeling it.

 

"I just want to know if how is she? I mean, did she also survive? Please, tell me Appa. So I can be peaceful." she softly says, keeping her emotions in check.

 

"If I will tell you about Yoona, it will just stress you out." The King replied, looking away from his daughter.

 

The question made her a bit annoyed. "I'm already stressed right here, thinking about her. So just tell me what happened. Non of you here mentioned Yoona ever since I woke up. How do you expect me to stop thinking on her? So Please, just... tell me what happened, Appa. Please..." Her tears are flowing unconsciously as she can no longer take it. No matter how much she wanted to keep it.

 

The King sighed. Yet, He still couldn't tell his daughter. "I'll be out in just an hour so better eat this up while I'm here." He told her instead while he started cutting the apple on top of a table just in the side.

 

Seohyun exhaled frustratingly. Obviously, her father is keeping something for her. And it's not helping her at all. She turned her head to the window and bit her lip, as she tried herself from calming herself. It's making her more concerned for the doe-eyed. The amount of uncertainty that she's okay is undeniable. It's slowly giving her headaches the more she thinks the negative side.

 

The room that was gone to quiet becomes so heavy for the King. But he can't do anything about it. Even him, he has no idea what happened. The last thing he knew, Yoona was brought to a surgery room. She did survive, but with the surgery he last knew, he's also uncertain with her current state. His father refuse to be generous about her after he knew about the surgery. 'I'm sorry, princess. I can't tell you anything until I will make sure she's already safe from the danger.'

After taking meds, Seohyun let out a sigh, as the nurse left casually. She's alone yet again. Still couldn't pull herself up. Otherwise, it will cause a huge pain.

 

It's been 8 hours and a half hour since she woke up - the people around her are still rejecting every time she ask about Yoona.

 

She had enough.

 

And she understands.

 

Maybe because they don't want her to get more stress. 

 

"Recover first and everything will be cleared to you." As what have Director Shin told her.

 

She thought of it a hundred of times to understand the meaning about it. And she just come into a conclusion; she will wait for the right time. It's either she's dead or not, she can't do anything about it. Only that, it will broke her and she would never forgive herself.

 

"Alright, let's think positive, Joohyun. Nothing will happen if you keep on sticking to the negative side. It will only give you heartaches. Keep on the positive thinking, okay? Okay." She chuckled, hearing her silliness. She let out another sigh. "To think, you guys are still going to Paris. There's no way she's going to broke that. I believe in Yoona. I believe on...her." She unconsciously smiled when she saw a white small pigeon suddenly appeared by the window. That moment, she remembered something.

 

Flashback...

 

Seohyun went back from the convenience store only to see her girlfriend in her car, holding a pigeon in both hands. The girl is sitting by the hood of her car, waiting for her to comeback with their snacks.

 

"Hey, where did you get that?" She approached her and asked. 

 

Yoona turned to her girlfriend pouty lips. "Look at her, Peng."

 

"Omo, how did..." Seohyun gasps to see the pigeon's right wing has some blood spots and it was hanging low. "Was she shot, or what?"

 

"The bird just suddenly dropped from that tree." Yoona pointed to a tree across them. "I guess she was hurt from her fall... or could be... she's already hurting. What are we going to do?"

 

"Babo! We should bring her to a Vet!" Seohyun exclaimed as she hastily signals her girlfriend to get back to the car.

 

Yoona complied. But she transfered the pigeon first on her girlfriend's grasps before taking the driver's seat and Seohyun the passenger seat. She hurriedly drives them off and began searching for a vet clinic.

 

"Yoong, her body is weak." Seohyun got a panic when she feel that the pigeon's body isn't that warm. "Quick and find one!"

 

"I'm trying. You should look on the internet too!" Yoona exclaimed, trying her best to stay focus on the road and while looking for the clinic.

 

Seohyun was about to comply when Yoona finally yelled that she spotted one. The doe-eyed without second thoughts carefully pulled the car over. Then, she jumps off of the car and opens the door in her side. She carefully took the pigeon in her grasp and brought her right then to the clinic. Seohyun followed in tail.

 

Unfortunately, just like in hospitals, they're not allowed to enter the veterinary's lab. They find themselves filling up a paper in information about the pigeon. Basically the location where they found it and how is it when they found it. Since it's Yoona who spotted the poor pigeon, she was mostly the one filling up the information.

 

"Thank you." The doe-eyed girl sighed as she take her seat after handing the paper.

 

Seohyun followed next to her girlfriend. "Do you think she'll be alright?"

 

"I hope so. You know, it seems the pigeon is alone, Peng. I feel sad about it."

 

"Aigoo, here. Have some of this." Seohyun shared a chocolate bar she had bought earlier. "I know she'll be alright."

 

Yoona bit on her chocolate first. "And how are you actually saying that?" she looked at her girlfriend with a disbelieving look.

 

"The vet will take care of her well." Seohyun lamely explained, earning a chuckle from the older girl. "Really, I have a trust with them. So don't worry too much."

 

"By the way, do you know what a pigeon symbolizes?" Yoona was suddenly reminded of something that she had read.

 

The younger girl's brows only creased. "Hmm?" As she also hummed.

 

"They symbolizes determination and the ability to overcome whatever obstacles lie in a person's path." Yoona said it in her soft and serious voice. "They're thought to bring love, peace and understanding of gentleness also. And I think for me, they deliver gifts of physical, mental and emotional healing." she warmly smiled, as she lovingly stared with those beautiful blue-slate eyes in front of her.

 

Seohyun smiled back as she flutters with Yoona's words. She doesn't know why, but it somehow put her at ease. Yoona scooted closer and brought her girlfriend's head to her shoulder.

 

"This is like... a good time. I mean, for the pigeon to suddenly pop up while we wait for the result of our plan later. Giving us a cheer?"

 

"Yeah, this must be a good sign?"

 

"Exactly my thoughts." Yoona stayed positive.

 

"Where's Im Yoona?" 

 

Upon hearing her name being called, Yoona tilt her head and approached the vet. Seohyun also got on her feet to know the updates about the pigeon.
