16 | Invitation

 

"Stop staring at me please." 

 

Yoona chuckles at her girlfriend, that used to be her best friend. The girl couldn't take it and cover her face with her blanket. She was just staring at her, is that bad? "What do you want me to do here? Sleep? Roll around? Or what?" She's totally amuse, she has an adorable girlfriend. She looks like she is dating the teenage Seohyun, not the 24 years old lady.

 

Uncovering her face, Seohyun shyly look at Yoona. She's just sitting next to her bed, while peeling some orange for her. But what she doesn't like was, she was staring at her while doing it for her.

 

"You just got shy, when you actually kiss me first earlier?" Yoona teased, extending her hand, to feed Seohyun. She decided to sit on the bed, at the edge of it. "Shouldn't you be confident now? We waited for yes just to be together. And it looks like, we're both idiots to think we don't love each other."

 

"Shut up." Seohyun mutters and leaned in so she can eat that orange in Yoona's hand. Yoona pulled back her hand slowly, which made her follow it - only then she realized Yoona's lips is against her forehead. She leaned back slapping her arm. "Yah!" That caused her cheeks reddening again."You intended it!"

 

"Hehe. I love you Seobabes." Yoona cheekily says. She feed her finally. But the girl is too shy to look at her in the eyes again.

 

"I said stop staring at me." Seohyun cupped her cheeks, while munching the piece of orange inside .

 

"Hyun, are you cold?" Yoona randomly asks.

 

"Quiet, Why are you asking?" Seohyun asks obliviously.

 

"Want to use me as a blanket?" The doe-eyed girl charmingly replied.

 

"Yah!" Again, Seohyun slap Yoona, but this time, her thigh. Her heart just felt the giddiness inside. "Stop sweet talking." She exclaimed.

 

The older agent chuckles. "Waeyo? You like it anyway."

 

"I hate it. It makes me want to puke." Seohyun grimace. But she opened when Yoona feed her again.

 

"By the way, Can you kiss me on the cheek?"

 

"No." Seohyun firmly stated, smiling victoriously.

 

"Ugh, come on. Kiss me So I can say at least, a cute girl kissed me tonight." Yoona's chesiness strikes again, wiggling her eyebrows in the process.

 

Seohyun rolled her eyes and cover her face with the blanket again. "One more word, I'm going to kick you instead, Yoong." she lied down slowly on her bed. But to be honest, under the covers, she's smiling like an idiot. Cute girl? Was she? 

 

"YoongBabes." Yoona corrected.

 

"Whatever."

 

"Hahaha! Come on, come out here. There are three pieces of oranges here. hehe. " Yoona snickers. But the moment she heard nothing from the latter, she stop and ask her again. "Are you sleeping now?"

 

"Anytime." Seohyun lied. 

 

"We should do it together then." Yoona giggles.

 

Obviously it's another sweet words, Seohyun sighed and uncovered herself again with a defeated face. "I said-"

 

"Sit up, and finish this."

 

"Fine." Complying, the younger agent sat up again. She took the remaining piece and giggle when Yoona kiss her cheeks rather. 

 

"I think I can say I kissed a cute girl tonight, instead." Yoona whispers, lovingly staring back with the younger girl. 

 

"What happened to you earlier, though." Seohyun's mind crossed about what she caught earlier. Yoona is on the floor, on her knees, holding her head. "Did you had a headache?"

 

Yoona blink thrice before she answered, "I did."

 

"The shouting girl?"

 

"Yup." Yoona smiled. As she suddenly remember cause of the accident back in LA.

 

Flashback...

 

"YOONA!"

 

The called girl instantly turned after hearing Tiffany's loud voice behind. The latter's expression is shock. She expected it somehow. The phone she is holding is hers, but it's been months since Tiffany is using it, since she had a new phone. However, when she suddenly thought of using it tonight, she was surprised to see all the messages coming all from Luna, Jinwoon, and Yoochun. All of them have one question, when is she planning to kidnap her fiance and bring her to their hideout. Her bomb was also mentioned on the text messages.

 

"What are all of these? Can you explain all of these?" She exclaimed, showing the messages on the phone. Her blood is boiling rapidly, meaning, she's slowly getting mad.

 

Snatching the old phone, Tiffany shut the phone down. "No. There's no need to explain. They're nothing!" She shouted on her.

 

"If they're just nothing, then why do you sound so defensive right here?" Yoona mocked.

 

"Defensive? I AM NOT! I AM JUST EXPLAINING MY SIDE!"

 

The doe-eyed girl scoffed, as she obviously understanding Tiffany's side. "Are you a spy? An undercover agent? Since when?" She questioned. Though she had no interest with Tiffany, but she was kind enough to start learning from loving her. "What's your intention? And me? Because of the bomb, was it? What's with my Bomb and you are asking it? I remember, you keep on asking me about this."

 

Tiffany attempted to escape, but Yoona got her shoulder so fast and pinned her against the door of their room. "Tell me, Tiffany... what group did you came from? What group is this? Huh?"

 

"LET GO OF ME! YOONA!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!"

 

"OH, Yes, You know Tiffany!" Yoona shake Tiffany and pressed her more against the door. "Just tell me the truth, NOW!" She shouted to her face angrily.

 

"I only know, I love you. That's the truth." Tiffany cried, as she cupped Yoona's mad face. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Yoona." She looked down and sobs in front of her fiance. "I really don't want to do this but... but... I can't complain. This is the only way to get revenge." she trembles in fear that Yoona will leave her, upon hearing her confession.

 

"Revenge of what? To whom? Me?"

 

Slowly looking up, Tiffany shakily answered. "Seohyun. Her parents - her father specifically. He killed my parents."

 

"What?"

 

"My parents. They're criminals - I can't deny that fact anymore. But they're only doing it for living. I as their child only wants a better future - But he killed my parents. He killed my parents in front of my eyes." Tiffany sobs harder, remembering that nightmare of her life. She had never thought would actually happened in her life.

 

"Was this the reason you entered SMART?"

 

Tiffany nodded simply.

 

"So you're doing this to me - because on the other way around, you're hurting my best friend." Yoona's voice are husky. She's slowly tearing up, thinking that because of her, Seohyun will be hurt.

 

Tiffany shake her head. She has no more energy left that she felt like collapsing in Yoona's shoulder. But the latter let go of her. She drops on the floor instead, crying her heart out. Yoona paces back and forth, doesn't know what to do. The truth is just hitting her hard - she barely could think straight now. So she left the house, leaving Tiffany.

"Stop drinking when you actually don't like drinking."

 

Yoona let out a sigh once Tiffany's voice was heard behind. She took the glass again in attempt she can have one gulp, but Tiffany snatch it and put it on the side. She looked at her with her intense glare. "Luna, is she also betraying Seohyun?"

 

"You're drunk, come on. Let's-"

 

"Just tell me entire ing truth!" Yoona roared, causing for costumer's attention, turning towards her. She breathed out and once again ordered another glass.

 

Sighing in defeat, Tiffany take her seat next to her fiance. "Yes. If that will make you happy. She's part of the plan, honestly."

 

"I can't believe myself."

 

"What?" Tiffany's brows creased in confusions.

 

"I can't believe myself that I was fooled by you. I thought you are a good person. I thought you also have the same interest with me - protecting the innocent people. But... " Yoona pause to chuckle bitterly. Her chest is so heavy. She needed to let it out. "Here you here... obviously just using me for your own interest."

 

"Aren't you just using me as well because you want to forget your feelings for Seohyun?" Tiffany countered strongly.

 

"I am not. I am trying my best to learn to love you. And you know I am sincere." Yoona argued back. Toe truth, she thinks Tiffany is easy to fall. But it seems, she choose the wrong person. She felt like the craziest person on earth.

 

Tiffany was speechless. It was indeed true. Even though they're fighting almost always, she still felt Yoona's care for her. And that made her really fall for. Which also she thinks they have a chance together for real. In time, it will be like that. 

 

"But that was before. Now that I know all of these... I don't think I can look at you in the eye the same way the first time I looked at you. Things are changing now." Yoona muttered, gritting and gripping on her glass of whisky. 

 

"I'm sorry. I'm really so sorry Yoong. But can we forget about this, instead? I promise... I won't do this anymore. I will avoid Greenlight for the sake of our relationship. I will leave the group."

 

"No. This ends here, Tiffany. We're over." Yoona could not hold it anymore and throw the glass. She got up and headed outside when Tiffany grab her by the waist, asking her to stay with her, begging her not to break-up. She struggled and successfully let go of her. Yet, she suddenly drop on her knees, holding her legs, crying. Costumers looked at them already. She couldn't take it and pulled the girl up forcefully. She dragged her out with her instead. But the moment they were outside, she quickly let go of her and instead of going to her car, she decided to take the street.

 

Tiffany quickly got into her car and drives of carefully, following the doe-eyed girl right away. "Just get in the car! You can't walk all the way to the house!"

 

The doe-eyed girl stopped and turned to the side. "No." She simply said and continue walking.

 

"Please... just for tonight. Just for tonight Yoona. I can't leave you like this." Tiffany begs, driving the car slowly.

 

Annoyed, Yoona decided to get on the car. Tiffany immediately buckle the seat belt for her and drives off. While in the road, Yoona can't still stop her feelings and keeps on nagging her fiance about Greenlight and there main motive. But Tiffany wouldn't listen.

 

"I am not telling you any further details about Greenlight. I am leaving the group anyway!" She reasoned out.

 

"Seriously?"

 

Tiffany shrugs and continue driving. Her focus is on the road, doesn't want to get into an accident.

 

"Just stop the car." Suddenly, Yoona instructed. She can not go back to the house anymore, learning this truth.

 

"NO!"

 

"Just stop the car! We are over! You Know that! I am not going back with an enemy anymore! I don't love you, TIFFANY!"

 

Tiffany turned to Yoona, tears leaving her eyes. "You're going to leave me, Yoona. I am not letting you do that. I am not letting you breaking up with me either."

 

"Whatever." Shrugging, the doe-eyed girl crossed her arms and turned her head to the road. "YAH! WATCH OUT!!!" but only to be surprised with a coming truck.

 

Tiffany turned to the road, too late.

 

*CRASH*

 

End of Flashback... 

 

With a snap of the finger, Yoona snapped back to reality instantly. She raised her eyebrows towards the blank girlfriend. "What?"

 

"You just space out for a couple of minutes. Are you okay?" Seohyun worriedly asked. She reached for Yoona's soft hands and gently intertwined it with hers. "Something is bothering you, isn't it?"

 

Sighing, The doe-eyed girl held her girlfriend's hand back and smiled. She shake her head lightly in response.

 

"We're talking about the shouting girl. By any chance... you remember her, right now?" The younger girl's eyes furrows. She's not going to stop asking her if she can't hear her answer.

 

"Seobabes, Do you like babies?" Yoona change the topic.

 

'She's obviously avoiding it.' Seohyun rolled her eyes momentarily. Yet, she give it to the latter. "Don't-"
